Mystery series full of excitement, danger and hidden surprises. Didn’t hurt the setting is in my home state of Kentucky. Talented author.
I have read all 3 or these books and I enjoy reading the Josiah Reynolds series. They continue where the last one left off. There is a lot of Kentucky History in them which is very interesting and informative.
I was married to a man from Kentucky and learned a lot about it, but these books have more information that I did not learn. You will enjoy these books, and the ones that come after.
I love a good mystery and these are very good. The characters are definitely unique and so drenched in Kentucky.
I’ve loved all of Abigail Keam’s books so far.I’ve read nearly the entire Josiah Reynolds Mystery Series. I think of them all as a Murder She Wrote with an edge. Because Josiah is more direct and has an edge to her thinking and interactions with other characters. There are always entertaining characters in each book and a bit of Kentucky history that relates to what’s going on. A very good series.
I liked the series. I read them all. I thoroughly enjoyed them.
The Classic Who Done It with great twists… an eccentric female lead, a bit reminiscent of Dorothy Gilman’s Mrs. Polifax; a rotating male “Watson” – all handsome, of course; and some unique twists to keep the reader intrigued.
I thoroughly enjoyed this set of stories. Would happily read any more by this author.
Fun read if you want a good mystery
These are just plan fun stories. They are easy to read, you can’t put them down once you start they are the dessert of the book reading meal.
Funny, wild and entertaining.
Loved all three books!
love her stories.
Got bored at first but picked it up a week later and enjoyed all three, then ordered books 4-6 and finished those.
I loved it. The main character is adorable.
I highly recommend these cozy mysteries for everyone who likes an entertaining and fun read. Josiah is a fun character.
Based in Kentucky so it was very interesting to me as I grew up there.
I’ve finished two of the three books in the package – don’t know if I’ll read the third. For one woman (the main character) to have so many bad things happen to her in such a short amount of time is hard for me to swallow. People just keep coming out of the woodwork to do her damage. Plus, after all the physical harm she’s endured and had to recover from, it’s amazing she’s still functioning, let alone still being asked to help with other people’s problems. At this point, she’s walking with a cane, has a hearing aid, had many surgeries to correct the harm done to her and is in constant pain, had her teeth replaced after her face was badly damaged – I could go on. I may skim the third book, just to see where it’s going, but I rather doubt it.
The books left you with a good feeling about life.
Fun books, fast read.
The books were interesting to read with a heroine who is older and has health issues with which I could identify. However each book had a continuing cliffhanger and after the 3 murders she solved, I was ready to see the story wrapped up.
Good read, enjoy the facts in the book as author uses to teach/inform
