Audio Review: 5 Story 4 Narrator
Josephine (Lady Archer’s Creed, Book 4) is the final standalone novel with interconnected characters and wraps up the series ideally. I loved encountering the other lady creed characters again. A cyclonic romance with a secret exposed and a perfect hea. A sweet victorian romance with compelling characters and a entertaining narrative.
Anne Marie Damman narration was fine. However, I would have preferred someone with a british accent rather than an american as this series takes place in England, UK.
A fun listen.
The acceptance of Josephine when she joins a new school was amazing with each young lady accepting her just as she is and this seems to last even after they leave and one by one get married.
But, Josephine is still single and one day she is out with her Archer’s bow and – well she shot someone.
What happens after that is the making of a rather fascinating romantic story which has a beautiful happy ever after ending.
I loved the main characters, the way her friends support her and the clever, all engrossing story with its very enjoyable narration.
I listened to the audiobook version and my review above is voluntary and unbiased.
The book is a good storyline a historical romance that is captivating. The characters are engaging and well developed. I did like reading this book.
Out of the four young ladies who make up the Lady Archers Creed, Josephine, is the more caring and after she accidentally shoots Devon, Duke of Constanton, she stays by his side looking after him, she starts to have feelings for him but he has a secret and tried to push her away, but she already knows.

Well written with nice storyline and plot. Fourth in the series. Well described and likeable characters that develops nicely through the story. Great chemistry and passion. I would have liked it to be longer. It has potential for more.
A regency romance that has drama, passion, independent heroin, alpha Hero and twists. A captivating and enjoyable read that is true to the time period.
Nice final book of the stories of the four ladies.
What a wonderful short story. When I got to the last page, I felt so dissapointed. I did not want the story to end. Our dear shy and brave Josephine met her prince charming Devon, Duke of Canstantan by accident. They met at the wedding of Josephine’s dear friend and fellow archer Adeline. Days before the wedding the women with their bows and arrows were hunting turkeys. However, Josephine’s arrow pierced Devon’s shoulder. Josephine felt so bad that she vowed to sit with Devon till he recovered. Since the doctor was delayed and she had medical knowledge, she feared if she did not remove the arrow the wound would become infected. So she tended to the wound herself. During his recovery, Devon could not believe his luck that the woman he was interested in was there tending him. Josephine, despite her shyness, when it came to things she was confident in she was able to be bold and take control. Devon was intrigued by the dichotomy of her personality traits. As much as Devon wanted to continue spending time getting to know Josephine, he told himself he could not. He was harboring a secret that convinced him to never marry. Shortly after the wedding, Devon received a missive from his home requesting his immediate return. He left straight away without a by your leave to Josephine. She became saddened that the man she had become enamored of had gone away. However, she was committed to see him completely well. She arranged for Georgie and Fulton to accompany her to Devon’s estate so she could check the wound. She wanted to be sure that it would not become infected. Well, on the way they encountered a problem. When they arrived at Devon’s estate they encountered another roadblock. However, she was determined to overcome it and see Devon. Devon did not want any of them there. He was afraid they would find out his secret and ostracize him. Will Josephine be allowed to tend to Devon? Will Devon turn them away from his home? Will Devon face the reality of his feeling for Josephine? Will Josephine be able to live with Devon’s secret? This is an impressive read for a short story. I highly recommend it.
I was hooked on this book from the very first page! The great character and plot development kept my interest throughout the entire book and I finished reading this book in one sitting!
Sweet clean read. It was interesting, had a great storyline and characters. This was a short read. I enjoyed the story, received it from booksprout and voluntarily left my review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this short story, but had not read the previous books which would have given me more of the background. It was interesting his she met the duke, and what they went through afterwards. The ending was great. I plan to read the other books in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy from Booksprout.
Lady Josephine’s Secret book 2 Almack’s Assembly Rooms by Agnes Forest is very entertaining. I enjoyed reading this story. My free opinion. Thanks.

Josephine Watkins first meets Devon Mowbray , Duke of Constantan, when she bumps into him looking at the family portraits in the abbey where her friend Adeline is getting married. The next day she accidentally shoots him with a bow and arrow while turkey hunting with her friends and feels compelled to treat him for his injuries and make sure he doesn’t succumb to fevers and infections from the wound that will kill him. There is an immediate attraction, but he is afraid that he and his children may inherit the mental illness that affects his mother and has decided not to marry. It takes Devon almost dying and Josie saving his life and befriending his mother for him to see a future with her.
Goodie! Goodie! I now have a copy so I read on something other than my kindle I am sooooooo happy. I fell in love with the Lady Archer’s when I first read Theodora. This is book four of the series. Josephine is the shy one and she so wants to keep the peace. Josie and Devon love story is more intense and has some serious challenges to face, but the strength Josie shows were amazing and show how well Ms. Mariel can write. You will not regret getting this book or even the whole collection they are just that great. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
