I almost put this book down after the first few pages but I’m so glad I didn’t. Kept me guessing all the way. Remington Kane has a winner with this one.
Although I was hesitant to order this book due to the “Revenge” aspect, I was hooked from page 1. The murder scenes are a bit graphic, but the method in each one is a key piece of the puzzle so I didn’t find them too bad to read. This is a real page-turner. Extremely well written with so many plot twists and turns. As soon as you think you know who did what, the complexity of the case throws you in another direction. Great start for an awesome series. I can’t wait to read the next one.
Fantastic page turner!
Great start to the Revenge series. Plenty of plot twists and plenty of good characters – some I liked and some not so much. A good read!
well written. different story line
This story rolls along at breakneck pace. The author does a wonderful imitation of Agatha Christie and builds a case against multiple characters. I was sure I knew the killer, until the author points you in a new direction.
This book was not a good read. I lost my interest in finishing half way thru.
great
The crime scenario, although extremely graphic, is well-developed and captures the reader’s attention. One has to root for the heroine and appreciate that she has flaws just like the rest of us. I’m not sure I buy the development of the coupling in this story.
The book was difficult to put down, and kept me guessing.
More turns than the Snake River! Just when you thought it was finished-NOPE!
Although the subject matter was about killing, which I knew beforehand, it was an original premise. The writing was very good and the procedural events were well-done.
Very interesting and intertwined book.
I first gave this book 4 stars and I was not going to actually write a review, just give it a number. But I kept thinking about the book and story and realized it was really well written.
Two serial killers and the FBI chasing them, or is it just one serial killer with two different MO’s? The author keeps you guessing on that issue, then the other issue is an ample supply of suspects. Who did these murders?
Why 4 stars changed to 5 stars? I guess in my opinion it never had that BIG surprise. There were many surprises, just that it didn’t hit me with a bang.
In hindsight, the book was very good. I never got bored and I was often surprised.
Strongly recommend.
An end that really caught me off guard when I thought I had it all figured out. Good book.
unbelievable twists and turns! You won’t put it down.
This is one of the best books that I have read. I kept on reading it…….what an ending.
An interesting story involving a small rural town packed with despicable people whose behavior merits punishment, which they get, and others whose evil deed that bring punishment is criticizing a book. The charming primary suspect soon becomes a perceived victim only to reemerge, at the very end, as one of three home grown killers. Entertaining and fast-paced story with a sense of loss at what the killer could have been if had been able to forgive.
Too many unnecessary charactors.
This is a book with so many twists and turns, you never see what is coming. Delving into the mind of a serial killer, looking at family dynamics during childhood and how it affects a person’s reactions to the world even in adulthood, is unsettling to say the least. This is not a feel good story; it is a look into a world that, thankfully, most people never realize exists around them. Do not expect to be entertained; expect to feel disgust and maybe a little empathy at the same time.
This book had me guessing and changing my mind over and over. You think the mystery is solved and something else comes up.
