Bryan Baker is kind and good-natured, with a weakness for sweets. He’s been indulging more often than he should lately, turning to comfort food and focusing on work to keep his mind off a recent breakup. When he injures his back, his doctor reads him the riot act and he agrees to see a personal trainer to get in shape. When he meets Melanie, he thinks she is great, but knows there is no way the … the pretty new personal trainer would ever look at him twice.
But she does. Melanie isn’t put off by Bryan’s teddy bear figure at all. He’s handsome and nice and she wants to get to know him better. But his ex, Amy, is a new member at the gym and she doesn’t hesitate to point out that it’s against the rules for staff to date clients. And when Melanie hires Bryan to design her a house, it becomes even more impossible because Bryan has the same policy for his clients. Can they find their way to happiness somehow?
**Be sure to check out the two recipes I’ve included. Both feature raspberry jam and I make one of them almost every day.

Yikes! I finished this one a while ago and forgot to review it. It was very cute and sweet and perfect for the Christmas time which was when I listened to it. Bryan and Melanie are friends in town but when Bryan hurts his back his doctor prescribes exercises and so he goes to Melanie for help since she is a personal trainer. They really do have so many sparks and want to see where those sparks go but mean-girl ex gets involved…BOOO…and with Melanie asking Bryan to help with designing her home now they really are working together on two fronts. How long will they be able to not cross those lines from just friends to more?
When Bryan hurt his back his doctor advises him to join the new fitness center and work with their physical trainer, Melanie. With the “no dating customers” working against them it is a fun read/listen and an enjoyable seeing how the author brings about a happily ever after ending.
The characters and the book were entertaining, the situations were believable. The narrator was excellent. My favorite part was how the author flawlessly brought local food banks/pantries into the plot and encouraged readers to volunteer and help those less fortunate.

A sweet seasonal read that is romantic and filled with friendship and loyalty. It speaks of values and being true to oneself.
Bryan is finally going to take control of his health. Taking his doctor brother’s advice, Bryan signs on with a personal trainer. She, Melanie, has recently purchased some land is dreams of building her own home. Bryan happens to design buildings.
Fate seems to keep throwing these two together, even though Bryan’s jealous ex-girlfriend does her best to keep them apart. The ex is the sort of character you love to hate.
Its fun to take part in the different activities as Bryan and Melanie get to know each other and discover if they can design a future.
Enjoyed listening to this one on Audio, the narrator is excellent. Wonderful characters with great personalitys , you can feel the love brewing between Brian and Melanie, though there are obstacles in the way of starting a sweet romance, if you like light reads at Christmas time this one is perfect!
Jingle-Bell Jam (River’s End Ranch #32) was a good read by Pamela M. Kelley. Bryan Baker is a kind man with a weakness for sweets. He has found himself turning to comfort food and focusing on his job to forget about his recent breakup. He injures his back, and his doctor/brother makes him see a personal trainer to get in shape. Melanie is his personal trainer and he thinks she’s great. He would have never guessed that someone like Melanie would ever look at him twice, but she does. Unfortunately, his ex Amy, is a new member of the gym and reminds her that it’s against rules for staff to date clients. Melanie then hires Bryan to design her house, and he is reminded that he has the same policy for his clients. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.
This is the sweet Christmas romance that you didn’t know you were waiting for! Excellent narration helps bring the characters to life enhancing their well-written personalities as well as the well-crafted plot. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if this one was picked up to be a Hallmark movie soon as it fits perfectly for readers (watchers) that love a Merry Happily Ever After! In a way it’s the under-dog gets the girl type of story, when in reality he was the perfect guy all along. I really love the characters and will be heading off to read more books or rather listen to more books by this author soon!
Another fabulous wholesome holiday romance by Pamela Kelley, who I might add is quickly becoming one of my go-to authors. A fast read, a smidge over 3 audio hours. I could not put this down. I had to know how it would turn out. You always want that happy ending, and this author always builds to an excellent finale. Excellent narration by Leslie Howard.
Thank you to NetGalley and Piping Plover Press for this advanced review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
Pamela M. Kelley’s Jingle-Bell Jam was a sweet Holiday read. This book is part work and part fun and romance. I would recommend it.
