Meri Tinsel Mines is like a town that Time forgot. With no industry left to speak of, no political will or money to spare, jobs and progress have passed us by, leaving behind those who can’t afford to move.Like me, with my useless degree. And my sick mom, who needs a kidney transplant that we can’t afford, even if she had a donor.I have my job at Jingle Bells Emporium but that barely pays the … Bells Emporium but that barely pays the interest on my college loans. And it sure won’t pay my mom’s medical bills.
It’s shaping up to be another sad and lonely Christmas.
Until…
Noel
This little old town carries some bittersweet memories for me and my Father.
We keep a homestead here out of love for the place, but we don’t return to it much. Most years, the family business keeps us busy travelling the globe.
But this year, Dad decides to help an old friend in town by purchasing his tired, struggling business.
My only mission is to go check the place out and decide what to do with it. Then I can get back to my life of globe-trotting.
But… I meet a sexy little elf and everything changes.
And maybe life can begin anew, for all of us, here in dusty old Tinsel Mines.
Okay this has gotta be the sappiest story I’ve written yet! So sugar-sweet, it might rot your teeth LOL. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. 😛
This is an insta-love, insta-everything kinda-sorta workplace romance with shades of Santy Claus and a little wee tingle of Christmas magic. Enjoy!more

Ringing her bells
Jingle Bell Boss is the ninth book in the Men on a Mission series and is a sweet and lovely Christmas themed romance between Noel and Meri. Yep I am still loving reading Christmas stories. This is a nicely written, entertaining and fun story with lovable characters that have some snow melting chemistry between them. I know that next season I am going to be pulling this book up on my Kindle to read again.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
An amazing fast pace, inspiring insta-love holiday romance! The story line is well-developed, witty, engaging, emotionally deep, well written, funny, and steamy. Likeable characters; their chemistry is instant and off the charts! Definitely recommended!

Meri works a Jingle Bells Christmas Emporium, a place that barely pays the interest on her student loans. Meri’s mother needs a kidney transplant which they can’t afford even if her mother had a donor. Meri’s fellow co-worker, Tanya, tells Meri the store is struggling. Rumor was that the owner, Mr. Noonan, was going to sell to the Wodin family and take an early retirement. Noel is sent by his father, Klaus, to check out Jingle Bells. Meri doesn’t know who this tall, handsome man is and tries to usher him out the door, but Noel doesn’t leave. Meri then gives a sales pitch on big ticket items that would make excellent Christmas gifts. Noel says there is something he would like to buy and asks how much the elf outfit is that Meri is wearing. The chemistry between Meri and Noel is hot enough to burn down Jingle Bells Christmas Emporium. Meri and Noel become friendly, and Meri leans on Noel when her mother ends up in the hospital. Will a donor come available for Meri’s mother? Can Meri believe that Noel means to stay after the holidays? Can Noel and his father revitalize the town? Jingle Bell Boss by Kate Gilead is a sweet Christmas romance with amazing characters who will have you believing in the power of Christmas magic. I would definitely recommend getting Jingle Bell Boss by Kate Gilead.

Four and half stars. This is a great, fast paced Christmas read; however, it is the type of book that can be read at any time of the year. It has a HEA for more than the two main characters. The characters have chemistry. Love the banter and positivity that Klaus creates around him.

Meri worked at the Jingle Bells Christmas Emporium in the tiny town of Tinsel Mines, Ohio. Most people lived in this depressing little town because they couldn’t afford to move. Meri is not only struggling with her college loans to pay for her useless degree in literature, but her mom needs a kidney transplant that she will never be able to afford. All she wanted, all her life, was to meet a wonderful man, marry, and have a huge family. But here, she would never get the chance to meet the man of her dreams. She and Tanya chatted about their situation while Tanya counted the money from the registers. The store wasn’t doing all that well. Then she told her someone thought they had seen Noel back at the old Wodin farmhouse and at the gentlemen’s club. But he had been gone for so long, no one was sure what he even looked like now. Then she broke the big news to Meri — the rumor is, their boss, Mr. Noonan, is selling the Jingle Bells Christmas Emporium to the Wodins and taking retirement, and the younger Wodin is a real estate developer! He could very easily tear it all down and build condos!
Tanya leaves and Meri watched the big snowflakes swirl while, at exactly the same moment, she heard very faint sounds of sleigh bells all around, yet nowhere in particular. She stared at the sky then realized how foolish her imagination was – as a tall man cleared his throat behind her! She is mesmerized by his good looks, but confused how he got in! He told her he came in the back warehouse doors, despite the sign that said employees only. She unlocks the front door and waves him out. He continues to stand there, grinning. So she goes into a sales pitch about all the large appliances and such that are on sale. But when she finishes, he gives her a full smile and asks how much for the elf suit she’s wearing!
This is a sweet Christmas story about a caring, wonderful woman working hard to just get by, worrying about her mom and a future of loneliness. Noel is the new owner of Jingle Bells and his timing is perfect to come into her life. Will the two of them fall in love? Is he the answer to her life-long dream? He’s a man who won’t walk away when things get rough – will she see that and allow him into her heart? Will he choose to make his home in Tinsel Mines and bring life back into the little town? Grab your copy and find out if a Christmas miracle is coming!
This was a fabulous, fast paced, insta-everything Christmas treat! Kate created amazing characters & setting, with wonderful emotionallity and banter. Noel and Meri were great main characters.
Noel was the new owner of Meri’s place of employment. When he stopped by to get some papers, he met her for the first time. That was the start of forever for him. Meri was equally taken, but when her mother became gravely ill, her world threatened to colapse.
Noel stayed by her side throughout her mother’s ordeal, getting ever closer. MerI had to continually tell herself that it was okay for good things to happen, as they were a rarity for her. Noel & his father, Klaus, had really changed her life.
Would they really stay after the holidays, after her mother was well? Did they truly mean to help re-ignite Tinsel Mines? Was a HEA to much for Meri to hope for? Read this Christmas novella for yourself and find out!

I really liked this story. Loved all of the characters, they were well developed and interesting.
Meri works at the Jingle Bells Emporium in Tinsel Mines. There are very few jobs and if people can afford to move, they do. Meri has a degree, but she can’t use it for anything. Her mom is sick and needs a kidney transplant, but they can’t afford it, even if there was a donor.
Noel is in Tinsel Mines with his father, for the first time in years. They keep a home in Tinsel Mines, but it has a lot of memories. Noel and his father are in town so they can help out one of his dad’s old friends by purchasing his business. Noel just needs to check out the business and decide what to with it. While checking out the business, he meets a sweet and sexy elf that changes everything. Maybe life in dusty old Tinsel Mines can begin anew for them.
Loved the interaction between Meri and Noel. Noel was sweet and supportive but also a take charge guy. Loved the happy ever after. I definitely recommend reading this book.

I love reading this book! A wonderfully lighthearted Christmas read, I hated to see the end. Meri is a kind and loving, though stressed young lady. Noel shows up in her life at just the right moment, helping to easy her worries. Full of fun, laughter, and plenty of steam, I loved this new addition to the Men on a Mission series!
