NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Love can transform even the best-laid plans in this heartfelt Christmas novel from the queen of Christmas stories, Debbie Macomber.Trapped in the middle of five siblings, Everly Lancaster always had big dreams. Now a top real-estate executive, Everly finds her work is her life, leaving no space for anything (or anyone) else. Sensing her stress, Everly’s boss insists … Everly’s boss insists she take December off. At first, a month away seems crazy—how will the company survive without her? But Everly’s mother convinces her otherwise. She deserves a vacation—plus, when she returns, she’ll have no excuse to skip family Christmas like she did last year.
But after her vengeful assistant books a guided cruise in the Amazon instead of the luxury beach vacation she expected, Everly is horrified to realize that she’s about to spend the next two weeks trapped—with no Wi-Fi!—in the rain forest. Not even Asher Adams, the ship’s charming naturalist, can convince Everly that the trip will be unforgettable. Slowly but surely, she realizes he is right: the sights are spectacular. And with each passing day, Everly’s relationship with Asher deepens, forcing her to take a long, hard look at her priorities.
Everly and Asher begin to see magic in the possibility of a life together. But as the cruise nears its end, and Everly’s family Christmas approaches, both must decide if love is worth the risk. A merry surprise may be in store in Debbie Macomber’s newest holiday delight.

Everly Lancaster is the middle of five siblings. She considers herself the black sheep because she left the family farm and went to set up a Real Estate company in Chicago and often feels like she doesn’t fit in with her family anymore. Her business partner tells her to hire his niece as her assistant, but after one too many mess ups, Everly fires her. When Jack (Everly’s business partner) tells Everly to take off the month of December to unwind and destress and perhaps take a cruise. Everly’s vengeful assistant, Annette, offers to book her a cruise, but instead books her a trip on the Amazon Explorer, an eco-cruise in the rain forest for which Everly is woefully under prepared. With most of the other passengers being older couples, Everly finds herself drawn to the ships Naturalist, Asher, and when Everly gets very sick, Asher has no problem stepping up to look after her. But with so many differences in their lives, it would take a lot of compromise to make this relationship work. Jingle All The Way is a feel good, Christmas story that will warm your heart.
I look forward to reading Debbie Macomber’s Christmas books every year. While this one was very different from any of her previous Christmas books, it was one of her best. The storyline was original and completely captivating.
Everly Lancaster was one of five children. She always felt like she wasn’t as important as her siblings. She was co-owner of a thriving real estate company. She dedicated herself completely to making the company a success.
Her vindictive, incompetent assistant, who is also her business partner’s niece, books a luxury cruise for her that turns out to be two weeks in the Amazon Rain Forest. Anything that can possibly go wrong does.
Asher Adams, the naturalist and tour guide on the cruise is the only thing that makes the trip bearable.
Everly has time during the cruise with no internet and no contact with ‘her world’ to rethink her priorities.
Every Debbie Macomber Christmas book has an uplifting message. Ms. Macomber never disappoints. I highly recommend that you add Jingle All the Way to your TBR list.
Even though I could foretell the ending of this book, it was still a sweet read.
What happens when a workaholic has a problem with one of her employees? Well, this one ends up in Brazil on an Amazon cruise, and we are along for her journey. She does end up with a shipboard romance, so to speak, but this is not a usual boy meets girl story.
I did love the warm family oriented aspect here, and being with loved ones at the Christmas season.
Can two job oriented people change their way of life, both married to their jobs! When you meet them and know what they are doing, you will wonder how any future relationship would ever be possible!
This is a quick page-turning read that will warm your heart.
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Ballantine, and was not required to give a positive review.
This was a new take on the ultimate Christmas vacation story and Debbie Macomber didn’t disappoint with Jingle All the Way. I laughed out loud several times as the comedy unfolded and it began on page one. From the assistant who never should have been an assistant to the business partner who was out of sync with his business Everly clearly needed a break more than she even knew. Even if you do not work in a high powered career, there is someone is this story you can identify with.
One takeaway from this story of a vacation gone awry is that sometimes, a fresh look at life is a good thing before it passes on by. Everly and Asher are a good example of two people who are so busy with their goals they nearly missed the golden opportunity of a lifetime. Deadlines are important, even Wi-Fi is important, but just like everything else, there is a time and place even for those parts of our lives.
I admired Everly for the way she met every challenge on her cruise. Her expectations for the cruise she reluctantly took were so different than the ship she boarded, yet she proved to be the ultimate good sport. If you are looking for a new kind of Christmas story, look no further than Jingle All the Way!
Fast and furious romance with a sweet holiday theme.

In many ways, I can understand what the big deal is about forcing a vacation. This year I really feel the need! So when I saw this story was about that very topic, I knew it was the perfect kickoff to some fun holiday reads!
Macomber sets the stage with a perfect workplace scenario that really sets your teeth on edge! I can feel for Everly and her desire to find the right assistant who doesn’t want revenge for working with you! An Amazon cruise? Oh, I would die!
With plenty of embarrassing and humorous situations, poor Everly has her work cut out for her on this unexpected vacation and Macomber creates the perfect offset to Everly’s workaholic ways in Asher. A wee bit of a nerd but strong, tender, handsome, and capable, they manage to find a bit of insta-love in the Amazon.
With beautiful settings, a blossoming love affair, and a tiny bit of family intervention comes a sweet story that gives hope and sweetness a new look. A perfect holiday story that you can enjoy in an afternoon and leave you with a smile on your face! Macomber is the go-to author for happily ever after women’s fiction and sweet romance!
Debbie Macomber is the Queen of “Feel Good women’s fiction.” Jingle All The Way:A Novel is the story of a young woman who starts a business right out of college with a friend. Ten years later the business is a success but no one has paid for that success more than Everly. She has given up her family, her social life. Everything she has is directed toward the business. But when her partner hires his niece it is a big mistake. Trying to soothe things over the partner demands Everly to take December off and has his niece book a cruise for Everly. However, this cruise is not your typical cruise
but an adventure cruise on the Amazon and in the Rainforest. Everything that could go wrong on this cruise does go wrong up to and including losing the Amazon/Rainforest guide romantic interest. One thing she does get out of this cruise is that family is very important.
“Jingle All the Way” by Debbie Macomber
Oh, my, yes, I loved this story. What is not to like? It is a fun light clean sweet contemporary romance. But who would expect this author to select an Amazon River cruise? That took a bit of an adjustment on this readers’ part. Ah, but a luxury cruise would not have been what our female lead needed nor would her … well I may have already said too much. Let’s just say, you really do want to check out this story. It is a winner and just what I expect from this author. Happy Reading ! !
Note: I received an ARC from the publisher with the expectation I would post my honest review.
verly and Jack are business partners and he brings his niece into the office to work. His sister wants him to and he does whatever it takes to make his sister happy. Everly is not happy about having Annette as her Assistant and tries to get her fired. So Jack decides that Everly needs a vacation and gives her the whole month of December off.
Annette books her on a Brazilian vacation. Or so she says she does but she books her on the Amazon Explorer. No wifi and in the middle of nowhere for two whole weeks. Everly has an exciting trip I guess you could call it.
One thing it does is get her to thinking about what she needs to do when she returns home. A really interesting book that will play on all your emotions. I really enjoyed it but less face it when do we have a bad Debbie Macomber book.
I would call this book more of an insta-love book. As I am reading this in August I felt the first part of the book was made for a beach read. The second part made me feel like it was a Christmas book. It’s cute to see Daisy and Asher relationship develop during the Brazil adventure. The love might be quick for them but it takes a lot for both of them to come to terms with making this happen for real. I say this book ends up being a Christmas miracle. Asher brings out a side to Daisy that she has forgotten about. Daisy brings out Asher’s protective, loving side. These are two people who seem like opposites but are very much made for each other. I loved how the last chapter gives you a glimpse of the future.
*I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion*
I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher for an honest review. This to me was a different type of Christmas book but fits perfectly into the toned-down 2020.
When Everly, aka Daisy, decided to fire her partner’s niece, she wouldn’t realize all that was going to happen to her because of that one decision. The book guides us through the many things that happen because of that decision. Her partner told her she was just stressed and needed to take the month of December off and then he has his niece that she fired plan the luxury cruise vacation for her. What could possibly go wrong?
The book is easy to read, not your typical everything is a wonderful Christmas story but more like this is the way life is, holiday story which I really liked.
A funny book very well written story
Everly and jack we’re partners dealing with a vindictive relative called Annette that kept throwing a wrench into everything for spite
Went on a cruise up the amazon and had such bad luck it was funny she does met a man that was a naturalist on the ship and has a good romance brewing a lot of action made it interesting to read was a very good book.
