NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Love can transform even the best-laid plans in this heartfelt Christmas novel from the queen of Christmas stories, Debbie Macomber.Trapped in the middle of five siblings, Everly Lancaster always had big dreams. Now a top real-estate executive, Everly finds her work is her life, leaving no space for anything (or anyone) else. Sensing her stress, Everly’s boss insists … Everly’s boss insists she take December off. At first, a month away seems crazy—how will the company survive without her? But Everly’s mother convinces her otherwise. She deserves a vacation—plus, when she returns, she’ll have no excuse to skip family Christmas like she did last year.
But after her vengeful assistant books a guided cruise in the Amazon instead of the luxury beach vacation she expected, Everly is horrified to realize that she’s about to spend the next two weeks trapped—with no Wi-Fi!—in the rain forest. Not even Asher Adams, the ship’s charming naturalist, can convince Everly that the trip will be unforgettable. Slowly but surely, she realizes he is right: the sights are spectacular. And with each passing day, Everly’s relationship with Asher deepens, forcing her to take a long, hard look at her priorities.
Everly and Asher begin to see magic in the possibility of a life together. But as the cruise nears its end, and Everly’s family Christmas approaches, both must decide if love is worth the risk. A merry surprise may be in store in Debbie Macomber’s newest holiday delight.

This book took me on a journey of love. Amidst the romance, there was family drama, deceit, and a little danger. An enjoyable and sweet holiday read.
This is a sweet & charming book.
I really enjoyed reading it.
A romantic story that pulls on your
heartstrings from start to finish.
Everly, is an overworked & extremely
stressed executive. She’s finally had
it with her incompetent assistant.
After speaking up, Everly, is asked
to take an extended vacation.
Her “assistant” insists on arranging
her travel plans.
Asher, is the naturalist on the cruise ship
Everly just boarded. He just knew that
if she would die without the internet,
it was going to be an interesting trip.
You never know what fate has in store
for you when it comes to love.
A MUST READ!!
What a hoot! Jingle All the Way by Debbie Macomber is a fun holiday read to start the season just right. Debbie created characters that you can’t help but love. Everly, the protagonist, is the epitome of what it means to be human. She’ll make you laugh, cringe, cry, and simply feel the peace of the season. I loved the setting(s) too! Debbie always comes through with wonderfully light Christmas stories. If you’ve never read any books by Debbie Macomber, then this is a great book to whet your appetite. I highly recommend Jingle All the Way by Debbie Macomber.
A+ for originality. This a must read. I consider myself lucky to have read this story. I was stuck for hours in an airport in Chicago without a book to read. I went to the book store and this was the only romance book available to buy. I couldn’t put it down once I started it. The synopsis reveals quite a bit of the plot but not all of it. So, if it appeals to you as it did me then don’t hesitate to pick it up.
I was completely smitten with the hero, Asher Adams. I’m pretty sure Asher could take me to the worst place on earth and I’d still love being there if he was with me. The heroine, Everly, was endearing and hilarious. Together, Everly and Asher were heartwarming. I couldn’t get enough of their sweet chemistry.
There are other characters that are well developed and compliment the storyline such as Asher’s and Everly’s relatives. The narrative wouldn’t be the same without their support. No family is perfect but Christmas is about miracles. Quoting the synopsis at this time is necessary for this review. “A merry surprise may be in store in this heartfelt novel”. I couldn’t have said that any better.
I can think of a few stockings that need to be filled with this book. “Jingle All the Way” was a well written, fun and entertaining read. I was ho, ho, ho-ing my way through the Chicago airport all the way home. I definitely recommend this book.
My all time favorite author
It’s so easy to read Debbie Macomber, she never disappoints. The problem then becomes writing a review that isn’t gushing, and maybe a bit over the top, but I’ll try. In Jingle All the Way, we meet Everly, who, through a series of unfortunate, or maybe not (wink, wink) events, finds herself on an adventure cruise down the Amazon. Our heroine is nothing if not plucky, so decides to make the best of an uncomfortable situation, finding out a bit more about herself in the bargain. We get to watch her stumble and grow, and eventually take control of her life. The writing is descriptive, the characters mostly believable (I wish I knew more real life people like this) and loveable. The plot, while maybe a bit far-fetched, works wonderfully. As with all of Mrs. Macomber’s works, this one is heartfelt, funny, and full of redemption. I wholeheartedly recommend this and ALL of her works to everyone.
I received a copy of this title from NetGalley and/or the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Jingle All the Way by Debbie Macomber is a fantastic holiday story. I love Ms Macomber’s holiday stories and have read most of them. I think this one is a little different. It is definitely a holiday story since the ending takes place then, but I do not think that it necessarily has to be. The story itself is not very holiday oriented, making it great to read anytime at all. This is one of my favorite books by this author. I absolutely adored the characters and the unique situation they found themselves in. Loved this book! I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
An unexpected story. I enjoyed it.
Jingle All the Way was my book groups read for December.
I love Debbie Macomber and will read anything she writes. This book did not disappoint. It is a story that will make you feel warm and fuzzy.
A must read.
A book you can not put down.
Some say revenge is sweet, and when overworked Everly Lancaster is tricked by a disgruntled employee, and is booked on an educational cruise down the Amazon river instead of the relaxing luxury liner she had been expecting, she had no idea what a blessing in disguise this revenge tactic would be. What starts out as a nightmare quickly becomes a once in a lifetime adventure for Everly, full of insane accidents, adventures I couldn’t conjure up in my wildest dreams, and deep self-reflection; showing that life doesn’t always go as you planned, but it’s those unplanned surprises that could be the best thing that could ever happen to you.
I felt all warm and fuzzy while I read Jingle All the Way and could hardly put it down! This novel has everything you crave in a sweet Christmas read. You have Everly’s unexpected trip that leads to some crazy incidents, that were hilarious but also truly gave me the willies, as the images were vivid in my mind, and stuck with me throughout the whole book. You get to witness an unlikely friendship between Everly and Asher that grows into something magical, as well as attention to past relationships, which is truly wondrous, as it mirrors and mingles with the blossoming bond of Everly and Asher.
There is a dash of drama that is heart-rendering, but the ending picks you right back up, putting you on a happily-ever-after high. Everly and Asher have a remarkable chemistry, the imagery was truly breathtaking, making me wish I could go on that Amazonian trip myself. Beautifully descriptive writing by the incredibly talented Debbie Macomber made this the perfect holiday read for me and one that I could see myself reading again!
*I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from Random House Publishing Group-Ballantine through NetGalley. All views and opinions are completely honest, and my own.
I love Debbie Macomber and all her books and this one didn’t disappoint. Everly (or Daisy as her family call her) is an over-worked executive. Her boss and co-owner insists she take a month off. Even though he and his niece are are part of the reason for her stress. Her assistant (the niece) books her on an Amazon nature cruise instead of a a luxury cruise to Brazil. Everly wants off, but she gets sick from a mosquito bite and Asher is assigned to care for her.
This book made me laugh and root for Everly and Asher. I love her characters and the stories always leave me feeling good.
Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book and offer my honest opinion.
Everly is an executive determined to prove her worth, not only in her family, but also in the business world. When her assistant sneakily books her vacation on an Amazon cruise, will the lack of outside contact force Everly to look inward and reevaluate her place in the world?
Asher is happy where he is and nothing would ever change that, or so he thought. When Everly lands on his Amazon cruise and brings a whirlwind of chaos with her…will it also bring change to what he thought was a joyful life?
Debbie Macomber is fast becoming my go-to holiday author. I love her writing. The stories are heartwarming, cute and hit the Christmas spot. Will definitely be reading her throughout the year to keep the holiday spirit fresh and alive.
When the December rush stresses you out in a normal year, it was really tough in 2020 when most holiday plans had to be cancelled. A good light, fluffy book always helps to calm my nerves and there is always a new Debbie Macomber Christmas book to pick up. This year it was Jingle All the Way – a predictable book with a happily ever after ending that helped my mood tremendously.
Daisy is a top real estate broker in Chicago where she owns a popular company with her best friend Jack. She seems to be taking on all of the work involved in the company, while Jack relaxes and lets her handle the problems. When she wants to fire his inept niece as her secretary, he decides that she is too stressed and orders her take a cruise that his niece arranges. When Daisy decides that a warm weather cruise might be helpful, she packs her summer clothes and heads to the airport. When she finds out that she has been booked on an educational Amazon river cruise instead of a leisurely Caribbean cruise, she attempts to get off the boat but has to make the best of it and continue the cruise. After several days of being sick from a spider bite, she decides to make the best of the cruise and starts to meet the people. When she meets Asher Adams, the ship’s charming naturalist, there are instant sparks between them. As the cruise is ending, they have to make a decision whether a long distance relationship is the best for them or if they should just say goodbye.
There were several things about the book that I didn’t like
-If Daisy (known as Everly in her Chicago life) and Jack co-owned the company – why was she doing all of the work?
-It’s a bit difficult to believe that two such different people with totally different life plans would fall in love so quickly.
-The whole name change was difficult to follow at times — was she Daisy or was she Everly?
But if you totally read this book as a romance and ignored some of the inconsistencies, this was a fun book to read and who doesn’t like a happily ever after ending?
I just love Christmas romances. This one was no different. I love Daisy and Asher. The setting in the Amazon was interesting. I recommend this one.
I have mixed opinions on this book. Overall I would give 3-1/2 stars if I could. This is a story about a work-focused young woman who is forced on a vacation booked by someone else and ends up on a cruise in the Amazon. In her journey, she has mishaps but also a lot of self-discovery and examination of what is really important in life. This self-discovery is what I really enjoyed about the story. What I didn’t like was the changing of names of the main character. Early in the story, she is Everly then all of a sudden she is being referred to as Daisy. This went back and forth during the story. Eventually there was an explanation and then it all made sense but until then, the name changing led to less enjoyment in the overall story. Despite this, I would recommend this story to someone looking for an enjoyable quick read. I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley and am leaving this review honestly and voluntarilyI
This is a soloist 4 1/2 stars.
Daisy seems so similar to so many high strung business women in books at the beginning, it was so nice to see the direction that the character went in. While this is definitely a Christmas romance, this is such a character discovery.
What we see in “Everly” in the beginning and Daisy in the end is such an amazing look into who she really is and wants to be, how she prioritizes life and family, and while there is an precipitating incident, it’s not something crazy like amnesia or a near death experience, it’s a vacation.
I may have give. It a full 5 if either the assistant had been fed to a piranha (kidding, maybe), or if Asher was a little different. He actually annoyed me at times. I just wanted someone to smack him.
Every year at Christmas time I make a point of it to read Debbie Macomber’s new Christmas release. This year did not disappoint this reader. Likeable characters and a great plot makes for a good read. The story starts in late November and gradually takes readers into the Christmas season. Debbie’s books always flow smoothly and seem to be quick easy reads. She stirs in humor with just the right amount of twists to keep readers interest peaked. That’s why every Christmas I have a Macomber novel in my hands.
Everly Lancaster is a very savvy business woman who works twelve hours a day to make things run smoothly. Jack Campbell is her business partner and CEO of the company who mostly sits back and let’s Everly take care of the important decisions. When he hires his niece, Annette Howington to be Everly’s assistant things don’t seem to go well. Annette can’t do anything right and finally Everly tells her she’s fired. Jack begs her to give Annette another chance. He tells Everly she needs a vacation. Of course Annette takes care of the arrangements and reluctantly Everly leaves thinking she’s going on a luxury cruise to Brazil. But that’s not where she ends up when she reaches her destination and finds the cruise is anything but luxurious.
Jingle all the way is a nice seasonal novel for those who enjoy contemporary romance. I hope you will make it a part of your Christmas reading.
I borrowed a copy from the local library. A review was not requested. All opinions expressed here are my own.
Jingle All the Way by Debbie Macomber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
#FirstLine – Everly Lancaster was ready to explode.
It is really Christmastime if you don’t read a Debbie Macomber book? I don’t think so!!!
I love every book Macomber writes and JINGLE ALL THE WAY, was another book I adored. It was a sweet holiday read that left my heart happy! I loved going on the Amazon Explorer with Everly as she learned to let go of the stress and busyness of life in the city. She was able look to her future in a whole new way because of a special person she met on her journey! Everly had some unfortunate situations take place while on board, which forced her out of her comfort zone and into a future she never even knew she wanted or needed! Adventure, and perhaps love, is in abundance within the pages of this fantastic read! I highly recommend this book for your holiday reading!!!
This was a really cute book. Not like other Christmas books I have read. I throughly enjoyed it. I would recommend this book. It is a must read.
Debbie Macomber always has a Christmas book and this one is another good one!!! Even though this story takes place mostly on a cruise on the Amazon, the spirit of Christmas is present. This is a light hearted romantic novel that also has some danger and excitement…..mix in some vengeance, deceit, family drama and The Holiday’s and you have the makings of another sweet, wonderful Macomber Christmas Novel!! I would highly recommend anyone to read this enjoyable holiday treat!!! Macomber will not disappoint!!!
