***The romance does standalone, but this book is better when read after Hunter’s Moon ***

I really enjoyed this book, it had great characters and a great plot, the only fault I had with it was it wasn’t long enough and I’d like to know what happens in the missing 33 years other then that it’s a great book! Good job McKayla Schutt!
This is Jina’s happy ever after story! After all that she’s done, does she even deserve one? A quick and easily read story, wrapping up some of the loose ends and headed for the finale of the overall storyline.

I liked this book in the series much more than the previous one read. The characters (Jina and Dominic) are much more relatable than Hunter and Luna. Overall I have enjoyed reading this series and it is not necessary to read them in order.

Second Chance for.Jim’s and Dominic
Jina and Dominic imprinted on Valentine’s Day after he rescued her from unwanted attention. At 18, Jina was officially a member of her coven and owed a year of servitude. Dominic was working as a mechanic for the pack.
When Jina turns up pregnant and her parents find out, they make some serious threats. Jina and Dominic have to sneak time together. Not long after their daughter is born she is taken by Jina’s parents. A fatal accident convinces them Luna died with her grandparents.
30 years later Jina and Dominic are reunited with Luna and each other. Jina and Dominic have a lot of ground to cover. Jina wants a life with her mate. Dominic fears Jina will leave again.
A fast paced and steamy second chance romance. Loved Dominic. Jina has been hateful throughout the series. Learning all she went through gives a better understanding of why she acted the way she did.
Jina has been separated from her mate Dominic for several years, due to the heart break of loosing her child. However, when her daughter Luna shows up on her doorstep her world changes and she gets a second chance with Dominic. When she thrown from her coven life of uncertainty remains for this witch but will she get her happy end? McKayla did a wonderful job with this story absolutely loved it. Highly recommend it to everyone.
A few months past her 18th birthday Jina is out with a friend when she imprints on a wolf. They bond in his truck within the next ten minutes. She leaves because she;s a witch and needs to be with the coven especially for the first year. After a week Dominic goes to her and discovers she;s pregnant. But then her parents show up and take her. The only way to connect with Jina is through texting. Then their daughter is born, little Luna. Jina;s parents drug her and take the baby. Unfortunately within minutes of coming to she gets a call telling her her parents were killed in a car accident. Jina leaves Dominic and they do not see each other for over 30 years. Then one little deed brings the circle around.
Short story about a part of the bigger picture in this series. Will get you invested in the story and leave you wanting more.

A very well-written story that kept me turning pages I had to know how the second chance for witch Jina Lyco and werewolf Dominic Wolle would end. Luna and Hunter also made this story complete. I am going to be rereading this series when it is finished. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story is sad as it is touching. Jina is expelled from her coven because she saved her daughter who is a witch/wolf hybrid and to make matters worse, her parents steal their daughter which caused all the mess in the first place. Jina and her mate are estranged after the death of their daughter who did not die in the accident but neither of them knew. It is thirty years and Luna their daughter along with her mate are going to a new pack that allows witches. Jina is going in hopes that they will allow her to join the coven but will Dominic go as well?

Jina and Cherish went to the local bar to dance together and have fun. A big man with who had been drinking too much grabbed her from behind. But when he moved his hands in places they shouldn’t go, Jina shoved him away. He was angry, but before he could retaliate, a large man stepped in front of him and asked him to leave. Jina felt herself attracted to the man and responsive to his voice. She heard his growl and knew he was a wolf. Wolves and witches didn’t normally get along well, but this one was certainly holding her attention! He introduced himself as Dominic. Someone bumped her into him and electricity sparked – she had just imprinted with a wolf! Suddenly he was kissing her. She knew completing the bond with a wolf was permanent, but it didn’t seem important at the moment. He took her hand and they went outside to his truck.
Dominic hadn’t seen her in a week. Apparently a witch turning 18 had to serve in the coven for a year, so she couldn’t see him often except for a day or two. He drove home and Jina’s sister was rubbing her back to calm down her nausea. But as soon as Dominic approached, her scent indicated she was pregnant. Just then her parents arrived and were furious that they had mated. They bound her magic and they disappeared from sight. Dominic went to his alpha to get a house for his family and then tried to get her back.
Jina woke from a drugged sleep. Her mother had given her tea and spelled her to sleep while she took the new baby, Luna, away. Jina had no idea where to begin looking for her. How could her parents be so cruel? Her phone rang, but when she answered it seeing her mother’s identification, a strange man told her that her parents had been in a car crash and went off a cliff. The police found a car seat but no baby.
Unfortunately, Jina was focusing blame on Dominic, not wanting to be with him because he reminded her of Luna; and kind of blaming him that her parents freaked out over Luna one day turning into a wolf which made them do what they did. Instead of leaning on each other through this bad time, she decided to stay with her coven.
Their daughter, still alive, tracked her father down at his garage. For thirty-three years, he had thought she was dead. Having her back in his life kept him remembering his mate. His alpha arrived to ask if he read his text messages yet. Luna and Hunter had gone to the coven to meet Jina. When Jina defended them with the coven, she was kicked out and now on her way to the wolf pack! The alpha came over in case there was trouble with Hunter’s parents who hated witches, but the alpha seemed to be finding the whole thing amusing. How would his mate react now? Would she want him back? Would she hurry on to a new coven somewhere? Would she still blame him as she had 33 years ago?
I liked this story line and was eager to continue reading from the last book. But there were so many misspellings, missing words, and wrong words in this one — some of them odd enough to cause confusion over what is actually meant — that it lessened the pleasure of reading it. There was little character development also, which made it difficult for the reader to connect with the characters. I still intend to continue with this series, but I do hope the editing improves on the next one.
I loved reading the past and present of Jina and Dominic relationship.
I’m glad that the story truly started from the very beginning when they initially met.
Parts of the previous book in the series are retold from Jina and Dominic’s perspective, which was done in a way which was beneficial to the story.
