Book One of the Gallaghers of Ardmore TrilogyIn Gallagher’s Pub, where the fire is burning low and the pints are waiting, #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts has a story to tell… hope for the future of the magical past.
Finally back home in Ireland after years of traveling, Aidan Gallagher possesses an uncommon understanding of his country’s haunting myths. Although he’s devoted to managing the family pub, a hint of wildness still glints in his eyes—and in Jude, he sees a woman who can both soothe his heart and stir his blood. And he begins to share the legends of the land with her—while they create a passionate history of their own.

Surprisingly and despite her popularity, I haven’t read almost any Nora Roberts in my life. I decided to fix that and start with this series about a young woman who leaves her job in Chicago to spend 6 months in a picturesque cottage in the Irish countryside. I was totally swept up in the story from page one, and I absolutely adored the entire cast of characters. This book made it obvious why so many people love Nora, and I can’t wait to pick up the second and third!
This is the first Nora Roberts book that I ever read. I loved it and even named my son after the main character!
This is a trilogy and should be read altogether …..it makes this book better and the characters more developed….it is a lovely story, very satisfying….I would read anything by author Nora Roberts…..
One of my favorite trilogies! Its a great beach read, and I’ve been singing Irish ballads all week! Three siblings are the key to breaking a faerie curse. A faerie prince falls in love with a human maiden, but she rejects him to please her father. Now three human couples have the chance to reunite the lovers starting with Jude Frances and Aiden. Jude quits her job and flies to Ireland to stay at Faerie Hill Cottage after her grandmother’s cousin dies. Old Maude was a wise woman, and Jude Frances is hoping to figure out what she wants to do with her life. With a career she hates, a failed marriage, and no real ties to Chicago, she is hoping to find herself in her family’s homeland. Luckily for her, Aiden and the people of Ardmore are happy to tell her stories to add to what is quickly becoming more book than psychology paper. This one makes me want to go connect to my own Irish roots! Happy Reading!
Its a terrific book. Nora painted Ireland beautiful! After reading this book it definitely made me want to go too Ireland even more. The characters are amazing
another great trilogy by Roberts, love this set. Made a trip to Ireland a must do.
Love this book and series.
I love reading anything Irish, maybe i was Irish in another life lol
I absolutely loved this book and the banter, and the frustration of the two main characters. They are stubborn, and they stand their ground, but that’s what happens when you come from different backgrounds. All the characters are funny, and always in each other’s business, but that’s what makes this book such a great read, oh I forget to mention there’s a fairy and ghost involved
One of my favorite authors
Have not read.
Nora Roberts is my favorite author and this is my favorite book of hers. I was in a bit of a slump and returned to read this for the 10th or 20th time? One thing is guaranteed when you read Ms. Roberts: you will be swept up in the world she’s created and transported into the story. Love Jude and Aidan and this entire trilogy. If you’ve never read Nora, start with this trilogy. It’s amazing!
