My Dilemma starts again! Every book Jewel writes becomes my New Favourite. I expect nothing less but a flawless story, hard hitting sentiments and some memorable lines I’ve never read before. And of course, she never disappoints! This is undoubtedly ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS of this year. So many layers and sublayers make it a virtual treasures of hidden sentiment
Jaw dropping good, intensely gripping story, It leaves my mouth hanging open and all.
Jewel gets very real and very raw with her narrative in this book. The sharp edged characters have hard and abrasive personalities and reading them was chafing at my heart. Thoroughly researched and precisely penned, the story resonates with some and educate others (like me), but one thing is definite, it’s going to MOVE US ALL!!
It is a very bold attempt to challenge herself and set a firm foot in the greyer part of her psyche, i guess. Facts, secrets, lies and revelations are all mixed up in a giant couldron of boiling revenge saga.
For me it is like a multisensory experience. Waves of emotions were hitting me from all sides and my heart fluttered like a caged sparrow. The feel is of almost like the calm before the hurricane hits. Electricity is in the air, dark cloudy skies swirling and you can FEEL that something big is gonna go down. Destruction and devastation is imminent. All you can hope and pray for is that you survive along with the characters with some sort of peace and happiness left to piece together.
First chapter gives you a glimpse into the hard life of a burnt, amnesiac victim and a hood rat of a girl, trying to survive in Dirty Jerz. Mere existence is a daily struggle and bartering is a currency she’s forced to use
Jersey Six- She’s an abandoned girl who is a fighter. Hard as nails demeanour and cast iron heart make her constitution. Not to be messed with, her fists are her words, her knives her sentences.
“I’m nothing…” she whispered “… insignificant … forgettable … no one would miss me if I died. No one would look for me if I were lost. No human has ever cried for me.”
A hot dog stand Meet-Cute with a good looking Rockstar- Ian Cooper and two hearts won’t ever be the same again!! He’s her virtual Prince Charming, swooping away Cinderella from abjection to a castle in the clouds
“Jersey Six…… I’m going to show you the world.”
**Sigh** if this book didn’t have undertones of stark grey, I could see pink hearts and yellow flowers falling from the sky.
But jewel stays true to the colour and doesn’t rosy the picture to hide the glaring disparities between their lives.
My heart stirred when they were together, hands held in hope
My heart sank whenever Chris came in and tried to muddy the waters
My heart just stopped when truths got revealed one by one
My heart flatlined when jewel decided she had one more weapon in her story- the ultimate Twist!!
It’s a perfect mix of fiction, romance and suspense. It’s powerful, introspective, gripping, terse and heartbreaking. As the truths trickle down I was held under the deluge of various truths that jewel has skillfully buried deep in the story
Truths of pain
Truths of secrets
Truths of guilt
Truths buried so deep it mangled the psyche
She wanted the impossible— the Russells still alive, a bigger vocabulary, a college degree, a normal life, relatives, maybe a boxing title, and girly nail polish . Instead … she was well on her way to killing a man who made her cheeks turn pink, going to prison, and dying from lethal injection.
The narration as usual, is STUNNING! The setting is hopelessly naked, you get what you see. No embellishments. There’s no unnecessary clutter of trivial details and frilly sentimental lines. It’s beautiful because it’ s virtuous and forthright.
I’m a very visual reader, in the sense that the scenes, characters and settings come alive in my mind. I saw Characters clad in white against the backdrop plot which was artistic like a graffiti marred wall. Which could be Dirty for some, art for others. It’s all a matter of perspective.
The purity of Jersey and Ian’s heart shines bright like sun in the clouds. Chris drew my ire, then sympathy and ultimately pity. His pathetic existence was mired in delusions and poisoned by hatred. I didn’t know by the end if I would have to ignore him or kill him.
I’ve read ALL NIGHT, couldn’t put it down!!!!!
I’m still thinking about it, hours after I’ve finished, which goes to show how effectual the story is. It made me a believer in hope, in happy endings and love surmounting all!!
6 stars for Demon Slayer, Dream Builder & Kidney Giver Ian
Twisted. So beautifully, tragically, brilliantly twisted. The love story is gutting. The twists and turns are jaw-dropping, and the writing is perfection. This book is everything I’ve come to expect from JEA and more. Highly recommend.
“Truth didn’t live in the light; it hid in the dark , dancing with demons, afraid to be set free, afraid to be seen by judgmental eyes.”
Just when I think Jewel E. Ann can’t surprise me with her writing anymore than she already has she proves me wrong and writes Jersey Six! I’m at a loss for words. This book will completely shock you. When you think you have it all figured out, you will soon realize you really don’t.
Jersey Six is an interconnected web of hurt, pain, loss, lies, betrayal, and truths. It’s so messy and suspenseful and down right f’ed up!
This book is dark. Raw. It deals with abuse. Its not the typical angsty romance you’ll read from this author. Not only that, but Jewel also takes the idea of a rockstar romance in a totally different direction.
“Sometimes… sometimes when you close your eyes, when darkness comforts you, the truth doesn’t matter because no one can see it.”
Jersey Six relates to real life and the horrors of homelessness. This book tells a broken story yet a beautiful one. It makes you really sit back and think about the kind of world we live in and when do we say ‘enough is enough’.
Jewel E. Ann is truly my forever author. She writes such in-depth stories and this one is a prime example of creative uniqueness. Hands down, you will devour this book from start to finish!
Okayyyy….
I need someone to come over and pick my jaw up off the floor!!!
Holy cow Batman….I mean, Holy Cow Jersey Six, what have you done to me???
I believe I have a bit of whiplash as well….I am telling you ladies this book is like taking a race car ride on the Texas Motor Speedway. You need all the protective gear: helmet, neck brace and definitely need a seatbelt cuzzzzz your mind is about to be BLOWN!!!!
I freaking loved it.
I purposefully started reading slower towards the end because I didn’t want it to end, but my heart was like noooo you have to find out what the heck is going on Tricia Bartley..lol
I would just be reading away and I would be OMG, Noooo OHHHMYYYGAHHHH and then I would sit there and think to myself, wait…..did I just read what I think I read???? Sooo I would re-read and Ohhh yess, I did just read that… lol
Yess this is one of those definite vague reviews…you need to go one click on release day and find out what the heck Jersey Six by Jewel E. Ann is all about. I am such a huge fan of hers and I just found her this year!!! Of course when I have the time I have been binge reading her books cuz she is that bad ass of an author for me to binge read let me tell you!!
Anyway…Jersey Six didn’t disappoint!!! You will fall in Love with this bad ass girl with the badd ass attitude!!! Your heart will be pulled in sooo many directions while reading and learning about her life!
Thank you for another Amazing read Jewel E. Ann!!! xoxo Can’t wait to see what you have for us next!!!
Jersey Six is unlike any other rock star book out there since it’s really all about a little girl who was in the system from the very start of her life. Until she was placed into a foster home, where she found what true love was all about, a guardian angel who looked over her. Did you know that “a bunny with one ear can still hop!” The emotions this story brought about were all over the place, dismay, anger, hurt, confusion, betrayal, laughter, it was like a see-saw, or better yet a merry-go-round. Once you start reading this book, it’s impossible to put it down, so make sure you have the time to consume it in one sitting and have tissues handy.
Can it be that Jewel has outdone herself yet again? She has given her readers another unique story with so many twists and turns, it sucks you in from the very beginning and it continues until the very end of the story. I’ve read all her work, each book is more than the last one, each one is my favorite until the next one comes out. If you haven’t read her yet, take a chance, please pick up her book, anyone will do to uncover this genesis with a pen! I wonder what her next book will be about, hmmmmm?
REVIEW: 4 STARS
“Jersey and desperation had an intimate relationship.”
I feel like this one is going to really stir up some emotions leading to some heated debates and discussions….and that’s what I’m here for!! Bring’em on!!
I know I am always saying I love Jewel’s books – I will never hide the fact that she is one of my favorite authors. I love her angst. I love the way she twists a story completely out of left field. She always gives me the most intimate scenes ever, and they are usually hard ones to get through. But most of all, I love the way she gives me the story I’m always craving – one that is deeper than the words she is using to tell it. One that takes a certain level of realization; slowing down and really listening to the story she is telling me. And here I am, once again…..discussing yet another twisty tale of perfection, complete with a a tear or two. Yes, I had to actually admit to her that the sadness and reality between two completely different worlds can be that vast and cruel.
Jersey Six was definitely a book that gave me a deeper look into some seriously deprived lives. But this was also the dirty and gritty side to the beginning of an unknown love story. I loved Jersey’s anger mixed with HIS smiles. It was the PERFECT dynamic. Jersey’s story is a slow build with an intense ending.
With Jewel, her intricacies and depth are a married emotion that provides a complexity – unmatched. This complexity allows me to to walk away and ponder and work through all the emotions she is causing me, without feeling like I am going to forget something when I step away. How she manages to infuse humor into something so heartbreaking is beyond me. Whether I have to stop or want to reflect on her words, it never ceases to amaze me the quality of her stories. This dynamic is beyond intriguing. So many variables between the characters.
“Revenge held its own intimacy.”
There is a deeper side to Him that I was very……suspicious about. So I kept reading, because I needed to know. His strength, though? Holy shite. By the time I got to the end, I wanted to hug Him and Jersey so bad. His character defines the true meaning of genuine. Real. Heartfelt. Honest. Sincere. I honestly read this book with an air of pessimism the entire time. I was so gun-shy on how I was processing everything because at first glance, nothing was as easy as it appeared.
“Pain wasn’t worth an apology.”
Jewel E Ann does not tell the same story twice. I have gotten many messages on the book and while the confusion is there….go with it. Follow it as she’s telling you because while I did drop a tear with a sad realization, it was a pretty deep book with a lot more meaning than I anticipated. I like how JEA dives into the complexities of her characters. This was NOT an easy book to read. There will be some parts that may make you side-eye the characters. There will be some that may have you questioning their motives. And there will be some that make you furious…..but push through that anger. I want you to really see the emotion that is Jersey and who she really is. And why.
Jewel E. Ann has a way of making her readers uncomfortable, but for good reason. I love that she is able to put me in her characters’ minds while she manipulates my emotions as if it were child’s play, yet – I love it every single time.
“Every single thing about him had the power to destroy her if she didn’t destroy him first.
~BEE
5* Guardian Rock Stars
The story of Ian and Jersey was so much more than two people with great chemistry falling in love with each other. It is a highly emotional book with flawed characters, some likeable and some not.
I was glued to this fantastic read which was full of twists and turn, lies and deceit.
This well written story about love and survival will keep you thinking about the lives that Ian and Jersey lived for days after you finish it.
I loved titled the book, which is explained in the beginning how Jersey Six got her name.
6 Amazing Stars! #TopRead2019 list
Honestly I have no words to express how I feel after reading Jersey Six . No, that’s not true; it’s just that after you’ve had your mind blown after reading one of the most amazing stories you’ve ever read, it’s kinda hard to organize what little thoughts you have left to describe what you’ve read. Jersey Six starts off as a seemingly poignant and angsty story, that suddenly takes a few twisty turns and spins, and then you’re off on an amazing journey that you have no idea how it’ll end, or who will survive.
I am in awe of Jewel E. Ann’s writing and I know I say this every time she writes a new book, but this one is just so incredibly phenomenal, with characters that were so complex and damaged, I loved it! But I don’t know if I can forgive JEA, there’s a twist so shocking that I had to pick my jaw off the floor, it came out of left field and caught me by surprise and I’m still not over it. I know it’s a matter of time; I’ll get over it by the time she comes out with a new book, because she’s my go-to author. This story is going to be my #1 book, on my #TopRead2019 list , no doubt about it!
“Sometimes…sometimes when you close your eyes, when darkness comforts you, the truth doesn’t matter because no one can see it.”
Jersey Six has had a horrible, wretched life, and she’s only twenty-four. Abandoned at birth and abused physically and sexually in foster care, she lost the only people she ever loved, her last foster family, the Russells, due to a reckless driver. And now, while not homeless per se, Jersey survives by doing odds and ends at Marley’s Gym, where she spars, in exchange for a place to sleep at night.
“Death or trust? Go with trust, but you might end up dead anyway.”
Jersey had been a loner until recently, when a badly burned man named Chris walked into the gym and she felt the need to protect him. He has amnesia, apparently from the injuries suffered during the fire that scarred him, and he’s slowly recalling memories of his life, during his vivid nightmares. After finding out the gym is on the verge of closing, Jersey’s going to have to figure out where they’re going to sleep and get by, since she feels responsible for Chris. They’ll stay close by, she’s never been outside of Newark, New Jersey, and doesn’t plan on leaving anytime soon.
“Why do I feel like you didn’t simply meet me by chance? Why does it feel like you found me?”
Ian Cooper , at thirty-one, is a famous rock star on tour and calls California his home. He’s kept his true identity a secret, no one knows anything personal about him, and Ian’s made sure nothing from his past is revealed. Ian’s lucky to have a tight knit group of people, all loyal to him, by his side. There’s no reason for him to be in Newark, except for a seemingly simple twist of fate, he finds himself on his way to Marley’s gym when he stops off for a hot dog, after noticing a young woman ordering one. That one little incident sets off a chain of events, which makes the butterfly effect seem harmless in comparison.
“I’ve spent my whole life waiting to love you.”
When Chris remembers some things from his past, he claims Ian is responsible for the Russell’s death and Jersey is set on revenge. But things aren’t so simple; how can you blindly trust the word of one person and not another? Oh. My. Heart! This story left me mentally exhausted and I loved every word, on every page, so much! With so much of the story highlighted, I’ve had to restrain myself from posting more quotes; but I’m happy I did, so I can go back and feel the words all over again.
“It doesn’t matter if anyone has ever missed you before, because I will miss you enough to last a lifetime.”
What did I just read!?! Oh, of course…Jewel E. Ann wrote it!
I’m both smiling and shaking my head. You see I was able (in my twisted mind) to piece parts of this puzzle together before the big picture reveal. Jersey Six (the book) is like getting a puzzle but the picture on the cover isn’t there. It’s either been torn off or wiped away from exposure. Being the curious (and probably nosy) person you are, you just need to figure out what it is. Perhaps you are thinking, solve the puzzle, snap a picture, and then use the picture as the new cover. In theory, it’s a great idea. You just didn’t realize that Jersey Six is a no edges, impressionist image. All those careful plans about solving it quickly dissolve like an alka seltzer in water; a fizzy eruption leaving behind a filmy, less palatable drink.
Jersey Six is all about the whirlwind. Jewel E. Ann has created a novel that makes me think of the Now You See Me movies. The slight of hand, the suspense and the….wait! You didn’t think I’d give away all Jersey’s secrets, did you!?!
No, Jersey is safe with me (and not just because I’m a Jersey girl too!). Secrets have their place. History is essentially secrets that have been introduced to the world and become known. Be careful reading this book, some secrets can’t be taken back. Things can’t be unknown. This story can’t be unread. Jersey Six will occupy your mind long after you finished swiping or turning the page. She will be an echo. This story…the secrets…they will change your world. Most of all, you won’t be sorry for any single (or all) of the terrible acts committed in this book. A part of you will relish every single one and it’s okay to own that. I certainly do.
Jersey Six’s story is an incredible one.
It is no secret that Jewel is one of favorite authors of all time. I never expected this book to be written in 3rd person, at least I have never read a Jewel book that was. I have said this multiples time I loathe 3rd person. It is much too impersonal, yeah I know what you’re thinking. But it is true. There are maybe a dozen or so authors that can hold my interest written in that point-of-view. But I was able to follow along and love Jewels prose.
From the get-go, you’re thrown for a loop. It took me several chapters to fully understand what was really going on. I knew when she said that we would be mind-blown. And I was, then the chapters just sorta of fell away..and I couldn’t stop. I had my own predictions, one of those came true. But the rest NOPE! Not all is as it seems. Characters that didn’t get a lot of page time but you just knew that they VERY important to the plot.
It took me half to book to understand our heroine, Jersey, even though she had a rough life, I couldn’t fully grasp her mindset. Her thinking was definitely warped. She is aggressive and very on edge every minute of the day. It was annoying at first. Despite knowing her past, it felt like she was using her history for a way to last out in anger at anyone. But I grew to understand that something hard to get past without a little light in your life.
This is where Ian Cooper comes in, he is portrayed differently than your typical rock star. Sure, he has money, fame, talent and there are fans and opportunities for him to act like one, but his focus stayed on Jersey, from the very beginning. But he was one thing that most don’t. No past, at least not publicly. He has a past that he wants to remain secret along with several other things. It is virtually Ian that made this a five star read for me. His heart and courage, made the book what it is.
The two together was something magical. The things he brought out in her. Quotes I never imagined a character like Jersey saying.
“Everything with Ian felt like pretend. Fairy tales, unicorn, pixie dust. And rock stars who fell for homeless girls.”
Pixie dust? I laughed out loud on that one, I am not sure if I was meant to but I did. If you want to experience a different rock star romance with suspense as a backdrop, pick up Jersey Six by Jewel E. Anne.
I haven’t read a JEA book that I didn’t love!
***4.5 stars
Another unexpected and exceptional story from Jewel E. Ann. All her books are unique. You never know what you are going to get once you open her books.
Jersey Six it’s a story full of anguish, anger, love and passion. It’s dark and intense. It’s twisted and complicated. Left my heart in peaces and it made my head spin. A complete rollercoaster of emotions.
The story involves a ROCK STAR; Ian Cooper and a FIGHTER Jersey Six. They develop a friendship that’s not even understood by themselves. They were imperfectly perfect.
This story is full of secrets and painful memories. Situations that kept hunting them both until this day. Everything about them is raw and intense. This is a story that probably will make you throw the book or kindle to the wall. I know I wanted too. There’s twist and turns that left me with the BIGGEST OMG WTH face. I was NOT expecting that turn of events but Jewel’s made it perfect to come full circle with her story.
I can’t say much. This book it’s better experience going blind to get the full effect. I can’t wait for you to read it.
JERSEY SIX by Jewel E Ann is a stand-alone, contemporary, adult, dark romance story line focusing on twenty-four year old boxer and homeless woman Jersey Six, severely burned homeless man Chris, and rock star Ian Cooper.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line content, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from several third person perspectives including Jersey, Chris and Ian, JERSEY SIX follows the odd relationship between twenty-four year old boxer and homeless woman Jersey Six, a severely burned homeless man whose amnesia has left him with no memories of the past, and rock star Ian Cooper, whose connection to Jersey and Chris begins a downward spiral for everyone concerned. Chris, as he will come to all himself, will become protector of our story line heroine, a woman who only needs protecting from the demons within. A chance meeting with rockstar Ian Cooper finds Jersey and Chris working behind the scenes on Ian’s latest tour, a meeting that will place everyone in the direct line of fire for betrayal, manipulation, deception and love. What ensues is the quick building friendship between Jersey and Chris; the building romance and relationship between Ian and Jersey, and the fall-out as Chris begins to regain his memories, unreliable memories that are about to destroy them all.
JERSEY SIX is a dark and raw story of secrets and lies; of betrayal and vengeance; of forgiveness and love. Jewel E Ann pulls the reader down a rabbit-hole of frightening memories, mistaken beliefs, and detestable acts of cruelty and abuse. A ruinous, ill-fated and tragic circumstance spurs all three characters into a battle for their lives, lives interconnected by sins of the past. The premise is gritty, heart breaking and intense; the characters are flawed, broken and edgy; the romance struggles in the face of mistrust, anger, secrets and Jersey’s inability to let go and thrive. Jewel E Ann’s talent knows no boundaries, a talent that will keep surprising us for years to come.
This book was AWESOME! It was angsty, romantic, and dramatic! It was dark in places, but wow Jersey and Ian were perfect! I couldn’t believe the twist! I was so conflicted about 50% in, but that was worth it! I can’t say anymore without spoiling it! Get this book!
Jersey Six was such an interesting premise.
“Homeless woman meets homeless burn victim with amnesia who has vague memories of who caused the death of her foster parents (and her future dreams)”
Sign me up for that madness. And what madness it was.
Jersey Six (our homeless woman) was such a dichotomy of innocent naivete and brutal apathy. She was a hard character for me to like. Her life hasn’t been roses and it shows.
Jersey and Ian’s relationship had so much push and pull. Their entire story is so intense, so messy at times. The secrets unraveling in Jersey Six were unexpected. The need to know the ending was real with me.
Overall, a gritty and entrancing read.
WOWSER!!! I don’t even know what to say after finishing this amazing, mind blowing story! Just when I thought I had figured out the twist, along came another revelation … and then another …
“Truth didn’t live in the light; it hid in the dark, dancing with demons, afraid to be set free, afraid to be seen by judgmental eyes.”
Jersey Six is not your average romance. It’s not even your average JEA romance. It is dark and twisty but still has all of the emotion and angst and of course swoon that I expect from this author’s books.
“The kiss. It always felt right. The only kiss that had ever felt right.
His touch felt familiar. A-million-lifetimes-ago familiar.
They were the perfect kind of wrong.”
Jersey is a heroine unlike any other, so strong, independent, resilient. Every bit of her softness and vulnerability is locked away.
“I’m nothing…” she whispered “…insignificant … forgettable … no one would miss me if I died. No one would look for me if I were lost. No human has ever cried for me.”
Do yourself a favor, grab this book, hide away from the world for a bit and just devour this story. There will be no regrets!

I finished JERSEY SIX a few days ago.
So, yes, time has passed, and still, I couldn’t put all the feelings into words to write a decent review.
To the point I also needed to re-read it.
So, what can I add to the amazing reviews out there?
This story is raw and tragic, sometimes really, really hard to read.
But like Jewel’s EVERY SINGLE BOOK, this story is totally worth the tears and heartache.
It moved me in a way very few books did (and I read a lot), it’s tragic like the Jack & Jill Series, and angsty like the Transcend Duet.
I strongly suggest diving into the story with zero theories in mind; why, you’d ask?…
Well, first, to have the best experience reading it, and second, because, let’s face it, you just won’t see it coming.
Brace yourself for revenge, tragedy, secrets and impeccable twists.
I already said that Jewel E. Ann is one of my “Unicorn Authors “, and JERSEY SIX is no exception.
I just don’t know how she does it: each time she releases a new book, the bar is set higher, but she always delivers.
So if you love consistent plots, flawed but perfectly imperfect characters, incredible love stories, this book is definitely a Must Read, and one of my absolute favorite, not only this year.
Did I mentioned you won’t see it coming?
(that was me being a tease).
Go grab this book, it would literally blow your mind!

This author is incredible — if you’ve every read any of my reviews of this woman’s work, you know that I am in awe of her talent and Jersey Six is another reason why she absolutely stuns me with her words. There has not been a character that she’s written that hasn’t remained with me after finishing her books and Jersey and Ian are no exception. I loved these characters so much (and I know…I say that about all of Jewel’s characters) — I become so invested in their lives. This book has secrets, mystery, intrigue, steam — and then there’s that “moment” when I hold my breath…..just waiting…waiting for that “moment” that happens in every Jewel E. Ann book where you’re just gobsmacked! You’re sitting there reading your Kindle and the next thing you know, you’re wondering if you’re in an alternate universe because she’s done it again! I don’t know how her mind works, but do yourself a favor if you’re never experienced this woman’s creativity and talent — go, run, buy her books — I guarantee you won’t be sorry. Incredible-another winner!
Another fantastic story by the amazingly talented Jewel E. Ann, Jersey Six is unlike any rockstar romance I’ve ever read. This story is a dark tale about survival and revenge, written so beautifully to showcase the raw emotions of the characters, with a complex layering of the past and present, trust and deceit, love and fate… that takes you on one rollercoaster of a ride with surprising twists and gut-wrenching feels. From the first chapter, I was on the edge of my seat feeling for these characters, needing to know what will happen to them, where does it all lead, will revenge triumph over love… and then you get that “holy shit” moment and it all falls into place when you never saw it coming. Brilliant!
Where do I even begin?!?! Jewel E Ann can write anything. Her talent and storytelling is mind-blowing. She takes my world and flips it upside down with each book.
Jersey Six is rich with the brutality of life and the fullness of love. It’s a gritty and breathtaking romance. Go in blind or at least as possibly blind as you can. You need to experience this with no expectations or insight so that you can get all of the emotions this story will pull out. Because there are definitely emotions. SO.MANY.EMOTIONS.
My mind is reeling. The characters are beautifully complicated. No punches are pulled. It’s a mesmerizing, haunting, dark and twisty tale. The attention to detail is consuming. There’s so much going on, I didn’t want to miss even the tiniest bit of information.
If you’ve read this far, have I convinced you? I hope so! It’s a Must Read!
Jersey Six is unlike anything Jewel E Ann has ever written and I am blown away by the sheer talent this woman possesses. Gobsmacked by her ability to craft stories so completely different each and every time!
I strapped in at 11am and didn’t get off this incredibly gripping ride until 9:15pm. With very few reluctant breaks to adult, I read this in near one sitting. Once I started, quite literally from the first page, I could not stop reading.
Jersey Six is unbelievably gritty! The path these characters lives have taken is intensely harrowing…if you are looking for a light read, move along. However, if you can handle the cruelty this world dishes out and the fight to justice and redemption is your style, then do yourself a favor and read this book. It is deeply layered with deceits and lies, truths and harsh realities, champions of the heart and villains of the worst kind. Jersey is one of my favorite characters written. She is positively a force to be reckoned with and I adored her!
I refuse to give anything away that’ll spoil it but trust that you will fall in love with these characters even when they’re “terrible people”.
