He had made the ultimate sacrifice…only he wasn’t really dead.
He signed their forms. He accepted their diagnosis. He welcomed the treatment.
He changed his name and disappeared.
Now he is treated as less than human. A pet, held in the Facility until he and his team are let loose on a government-sanctioned target.
Except this next target isn’t some terrorist or criminal – it’s a teenage … or criminal – it’s a teenage girl on US soil – and the woman who stole his heart.
Jericho and his team may be a different kind of soldier, but they still hold to their moral codes and honor. Going against a direct order is not something they would normally consider…
But nothing about this team is normal.

This is the first novel I have read by T.K. Eldridge and I am now sure it won’t be the last! Jericho is book #1 In a series about humans who have been injected with a combination of human and animal DNA. Now they are being used as super enhanced soldiers doing black ops work for the government. T.K. Aldridge has done a wonderful job of building a fantasy world that explores within the plot of the story the concepts of ethics and government morals as well as basic human freedom. The characters are well developed and easy to relate to especially Jericho and his leading lady Peyton. I found myself holding my breath as Jericho tries to lead his team to real freedom. Every page had me on the edge of my seat, praying for success, as the plot took me on a roller coaster ride of twists and turns. There is suspense, mystery as you try to figure out who can be trusted and who are the villains. Very well done! Worth the time to read! There is minor cliffhangers not enough to have me screaming in frustration. The second book is readily available but I am forced by budget and a very full to be read shelf to wait before I can pick it up. That is mildly frustrating given I am dying to know what happens next. I will put the series on my very full wishlist!
Thoroughly entertaining read.
Jericho and his group of people are an elite group of operatives. They had been to hell to get that. Now, they are all living in pathetic bunkers, just to do the work required of them to do.
The characters, especially Jericho was so well etched that I could almost visualize him. The plot and the premise and the villains and their interactions were also amazing. Loved it.
Wow. Ten years in the making, and what was started so long ago has bore such decadent fruit. Read the first chapter and was reminded of another time and place, where much writing and collaborating took place. Absolutely fabulous job with this one. Loved not only the little details, but also the wit, the humor, the setting, and the beautiful way everything was described. Can’t wait to read the next one in this series!
10/10 … This book is a must read. T.K. Eldridge is a master with words creating a perfect combination of detailed world-building and masterfully developed characters that fully immerse you in the story and leave you begging for more at the end. Jericho and his amazing team of hybrid operatives will draw you in and have you cheering for them from page one … I cannot wait to see whats in store for them in future books !!!!
This book was excellent! I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but after reading about Jericho’s struggles, his hopes, his demons, I can’t wait for the next installment. The romance is evident, but it only serves to enhance the story, rather than act as filler to increase word count as is evident elsewhere. Jericho and his team have self-doubts, weaknesses, flaws that make them real, that breathe them to life. Some of the characters, I despise. The author does a good job of painting a truly bad guy, and I can’t help but cheer for the good guys. Jericho was an excellent read, one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of reading this year.
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I was more than excited to read it based on the blurb. The story turned out to be an okay read for me. I enjoyed Jericho, Kit, Kane and Cutter. Gideon and Rico were okay characters but I didn’t feel as if they played a major part in this story. Rico was killed but I didn’t miss him. This story had a good bit of action and the pace of it was okay but I feel like there were just too many characters introduced in this book. There was over 20 characters and I think I would have enjoyed this story more if the author gave us time to really get to know the characters instead of throwing them all into the story at one time. I liked Sarah and her governess Peyton. Peyton and Jericho barely spent time together before declaring their love for each other so this story would be great for readers that love insta-love. I prefer a little more anticipation. I feel like Sarah got over the death of her father too fast, yes he wasn’t the best in regards to her but in the story she seemed to love her father and when he died she brushed it off and kept it moving. Kane and Jericho learn exactly why they can “twin speak” and get a chance to come face to face with a blast from the past. General George Carver wants all of the mutants as he classifies them dead and he will make it his mission to see it through. The end of this book did not leave me wanting to continue the series and although this was an okay read, I think I will stop at this book.
This was a very nice book. I enjoyed reading about Jericho and his team and the struggles they had to go through to survive. The hope for the future they all have is inspiring throughout the story. The twist at the end for Jericho and another team member was my favorite and I can’t wait to see how the team handles the General in future books.
This book turns in a different direction as this author’s previous books, and she nails it too!
I was drawn in from the start. The main character is believable and personable. I’m excited to see where Jericho takes us next.
