Santa, if there’s one thing I want for Christmas more than anything, it’s someone to spend Christmas with, not as an afterthought invitation because they feel sorry for me, but someone who really wants me to be there. Romance author Jenna Heart is headed to the mountains of East Tennessee for a December writer’s workshop. Since her mother passed after a long illness, Jenna has had one wish: she … she doesn’t want to spend Christmas alone. Meeting Nicolo Maldini, cover model and actor, could make more than Jenna’s Christmas wish come true. If Ember Morten, Nicolo’s ex girlfriend doesn’t do something crazy to stop Jenna and Nicolo from being together.

Romance Author Jenna Heart has been out of the game for a while. Taking care of her mother and then dealing with her grief has left her insecure and floundering a bit. Going to a signing is the best medicine.
One of the attendees is cover model Nicolo Maldini. A pleasant surprise is he is attending with his mother Angela, a breast cancer survivor. Both Nicolo and his mother are lovely people and Jenna enjoyed the time with them, the wolf sanctuary dinner, the signing and the dinner hosted by the sponsor of the event.
Let me say here, her friend Chyna is no friend. Every time Jenna speaks with her it’s all about how Jenna isn’t as beautiful or as worldly as the women seen with Nicolo. He’s an actor and model, way out of her league. My immediate feeling was ‘Jealous Much’? This one needs to be kicked to the curb for good.
Nicolo on the other hand is sweet, attentive and has a problem of his own.
I loved the way this relationship develops in spite of the the negative friend, and Nicolo’s problem. This book is a delightful, romantic Christmas read.
Jenna’s Christmas Wish by Debra Parmley
Book starts out with Jenna who heads to TN for a book signing by authors.
Love hearing about this as I can’t even imagine what it entails as I’ve never attended one either.
Love how everything is planned well in advance with speakers and the book signing, refuge where you learn about wolves.
The cover model man is also there with his mother, who’s a lead author that other women are falling over themselves to get his attention.
She doubts she’d be good enough for Nicolo but agrees to exercise with him and his mother but they didn’t show up at the gym at the hotel…
She makes a list of all the attentive things he’s done…with the ice storm she stays another night rather than driving through icy roads.
Her friend Chyma back home cuts him down and her about her weight and Jenna wonders why she puts up with it from her girl friend.
She’s spent some time with him and he wants to date her-even though he lives far away… Like that she gets to see where he lives and learns of his life and those in it. She may have second thoughts after the woman makes an appearance.
He invites her to Atlantic City, NJ as she’s never been….and he wants her to spend Christmas with him and his mother….he will pay for the tickets even.
Love charity work he does for children and time he spends with them.
About the author and other works by the author are highlighted at the end.
I received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
Jenna is an author, a rather shy one too. She meets a cover model at a work shop and he’s not all one would imagine. Her best friend is a negative bitch, she needs to get rid of her. I was so glad she was wrong. Jenna is grieving and Nicolo’s family sweep her into their arms for Christmas. This was a fast paced short and sweet novella and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Pretty good read. Jenna’s friend, she could do w/out, putting her down and encouraging her. Nicolo and his mom were nice. But boy this crazy girl he dated only once is a piece of work. This is a nice clean book w/out a lot of drama and sex. Jenna’s an author and she’s finally gotten back in the groove since her mom passed away. She is quite and shy, and is uncomfortable in her own body. HEA. Received this as a christmas gift.
