I’ve always been a bad boy, but things have never been this bad before. Now I’m running from something terrible, something I didn’t want to do and can never take back. When I arrive in Washington, planning to hide out at the Tremblay estate where I used to visit my cousins, the Tremblay brothers, I pretend everything is fine.Because nobody can know what I did when I can’t even look at myself in the … even look at myself in the mirror and every time I close my eyes, I taste my best friend’s blood.
But I didn’t count on the girl.
Shelly is hardly what I’d call my type.
She’s cute, sure. But she’s too shy, too smart, too…good.
The last thing I came here to do was to find love.
And the last thing I want to do is hurt someone so sweet.
But when passion takes us both by surprise, I know that love isn’t something that listens to reason.

Jeb is on the run and goes where he feels safe, to Quinton where his aunt and uncle live. They’re family is head of the Tremblay pack Shelly goes to to Quinton to work for the Tremblay’s and meets Jeb. The sparks fly but will what Jeb’s running from tear them apart. I really enjoyed this Book.
Loved this story!!!! Only wish there was an epilogue showing Jeb proposing to Shelley and a mating ceremony or wedding. And with all the sex, I wanted a pregnancy announcement. And does Jeb ever become a lead Alpha? Give me more Quinton’s!!
Good story. Likeable characters. Interesting because the main sources of conflict are his best friends and his own guilty feelings.

Jeb is a man driven by the guilt of killing his friend. Shelly is Jeb’s mate, but the problem is all in his head. Everything gets explained later on in the book. The plot is well thought out, but the self effacing is annoying. The climax is exciting and ending with our happily ever after.
This is an amazing box set. There are 4 brothers who all meet their mate while battling the same thing. Their mates are different in some ways but all equally matched with their mate. There are other family members and friends involved. There is also 2 other people’s stories added after the brothers. It makes a box set of great stories you just can’t put down. Best one I have read in awhile. It is exciting, entertaining, hot and steamy, suspenseful, dramatic and so much more. I ran a gamut of emotions like crying, laughing and so on. I consider this box set a must read.
This is the final book in “The Quinton Shifters” series and it brings everything home. All the turmoil, all the loose ends, all the drama, angst, and questions will pull the Trembly family together again. Once again Abigail Raines defines family love and loyalty along with just how much steam can come from a fate induced shifter romance. This was quite an ending to a remarkable series. Even though I was received a copy of this ARC from Booksprout, I also purchased the book. It was that good.
Another awesome addition to the series. The characters are well developed with plenty of steam and chemistry between the couple. Storyline flowed smoothly.

This series just keep getting better and better. I love when a family sticks together and always supports each other, yet welcomes others into the family too. This is the sixth story in The Quinton Shifters series. You do not have to read all the stories to understand this story. It can easily be read as a stand alone story, but people from the other stories are also in this story too. One big happy family! You get to revisit with characters you feel you know!
Shelly is a shifter from a well to do, not filthly rich family. She has finished college, Stanford, in four years with two majors. When her mother tells her that she heard of the perfect intern job for her, which just so happens to be for Alice Tremblay, as her assistant and staying at Tremblay mansion as part of the internship. She sends in her resume and cover letter, does a short phone interview and then gets the job. She is excited, because she has been working so hard for so long, she doesn’t know how to relax and she will be working doing things that she is excited and passionate about. Her mother is more impressed with who she is working for and where she will be staying. Shelly has always been shy and doesn’t have many social skills. When she runs into the cousin Tremblay from Long Island, NY, who just so happens to be there at the same time, but he is a player. What is some great looking, rich guy ever doing flirting with plain bookish Shelly. She is sure that he is just flirting with her because she is the only single female there.
Jeb is a flirt, a professional flirt, being that he can’t seem to turn it off. He is going to visit his aunt, uncle and cousins in Quinton, Washington because he can’t stay in New York any longer. He did something unforgivable. If other shifters find out what he did, he could be put down. He goes to Tremblay to try to get some protection and maybe some help with what he did. He feels that he did the only thing that he could do, but he still tastes the blood in his mouth. He is putting off telling his cousin Xander about what happened. It seems that all his cousins have changed since he saw them last, besides the fact they all have mates now. Xander used to be so uptight, and now his is more laid back and easy to talk with. When he gets to Tremblay mansion, there is a female there. She is shy and kind of antisocial, but he can’t help wanting to be around her. He looks forward to seeing her at every meal, and now he is reading books because she works out of the library, so he keeps going in there. He feels so comfortable around her and when she wakes him up from a nightmare about what happened, he tells her what happened. He is now getting threatening letters from back home. He doesn’t know what to do. He will talk to Xander, but later. And you know that later never happens.
Things get turned up a notch when Shelly gets kidnapped by the people threatening Jeb and the Tremblay family comes together to save the day, again.

Another well written book to the series brings Shelly and Jeb’s story. They’re as opposite for each other as can be but it doesn’t stop the attraction. Their characters are strong and they have a hot chemistry. The author does a great job building the story and pulling you in with the emotions flowing throughout. It was great to see the love and support from everyone and for them to find their HEA. It’s an interesting story and I enjoyed reading.

Jeb’s Mate, the most recent in The Quinton Shifters series, is another enjoyable shifter romance from Abigail Raines. As usual, the characters are well crafted making an easy and enjoyable read. You will find yourself relating to both of the main characters.
There is not a lot of action in this story until the end. This is a sweet love story about how opposites have trouble relating, but together they can enhance and improve each other, making each a better person. There is some drama and tension included as they get to know each other and overcome the terrors of the past.
Jeb is the New York lovable, wild, playboy cousin to the Tremblay family of Quinton. WA. When something horrible happens, Jeb flees to Quinton and the protection of his family there.
Shelly is relaxing after graduation when she’s offered an internship with Alice Tremblay in Quinton and she quickly accepts. Being a shy, quiet person, she’s looking forward to the work waiting for her hoping to avoiding any awkward social interactions.
When Jeb and Shelly meet they are like oil and water. As the story progresses they slowly mix, creating a delightful blend of two opposites. Then Jeb’s past catches up to him and it may destroy more than just him.
I just keep wishing these short stories could be a little longer. Overall, this was a good, entertaining four star shifter romance and if you enjoy this type of romance this series is for you

Jeb was always a rich party boy. Jeff, Alex and David too. Their families were wealthy enough there was no need for them to get serious about a job or direction.
Then the direction they took turned lethal. Friend versus friend. Blood and death- and it is unclear how or why.
Jeb heads for his Tremblay cousins and their estate in Quinton. He may have many surprises ahead there- some related to former friends with blood and vengeance on their minds.
Intense KU action/ adventure/ romance.
I received an advance copy from Booksprout. I also bought a copy. I have read most of the books in this series and several from other series from this author.
If you like steamy romance as well as action and adventure, this could be a great read for you.
Young love, meet cute, absolutely adorable
Jeb’s Mate by Abigail Raines is the fifth book in the Quinton Shifter series. I adored this book about Jeb and Shelly! Young love is the theme and these two are just refreshing. Their storyline is part paranormal shifter, part nerdy cute girl and super hot alpha out of his depth. I was completely enthralled with their stories, backgrounds, etc. The two of them together was very romantic and Jeb is like the perfect shifter book boyfriend with his innate need to protect and meet the needs of his unexpected mate. While opposites, they perfectly compliment each other and once these two realize they were meant to be, sparks fly, fireworks explode and hearts and minds become one. A really beautiful story with a promising HEA.
Overall, a very well written shifter paranormal romance by this author I love to read. While I truly loved everything about his book, these two characters will stay with me for some time. Hoping for more Quinton Shifter books!
