The VC Warriors are an elite group of vampire who protect innocents, whether human or those of their own race. Jared Kincaid, along with other Warriors, are shocked when a fiery red head with a gun and attitude, bring news of young teens being turned into an army of half-breed vampires capable of taking out all VC Warriors.
Breaking into the famed VC Warriors compound was definitely not the … not the smartest thing Tessa Pride has ever done, but she will do anything for her brother, Adam. The Warriors held the one person she knew was responsible for her brother being turned into a half-breed and nothing will stop her from getting what she needs to help her brother, not even a Warrior whose eyes could make her melt with one look.
Jared and Tessa join forces in a desperate scramble to find who is responsible. With a war between Warriors and half-breeds brewing, suspicions of traitors in their midst put the lives of everyone involved on the line.

I truly love this author’s take on vampires. No sparkles in the sun, well okay maybe one sparkle, but he’s made a move against the wrong woman and won’t be seeing the sun for much longer. The author has managed to expand on her characters and the original story keeping us engaged and making us so entrenched in the need to learn the fate of all the warriors that I can’t see myself not reading the rest of the series. In fact I’m off to read the next book right now.
Jareds book was so dam good. I literally devoured it in one sitting. These VC Warriors bring it all to the table.. .
Jared by Teresa Gableman is a paranormal treat. Picking up where book one Damon finished, it was impossible not to be swept along with the wonderful fast-paced action of the delectable vampire warriors and the new female protagonist Tessa. This action was almost instant and rarely slowed with the exception of well positioned “calm before the storm” moments and the wonderful hot and tender scenes. And what wonderful, delicious scenes they were!
What I so thoroughly enjoyed about this novel was the inclusion of the characters that I felt so connected to from book one, plus the continuation and developing storyline. The plot in particular was challenging enough to keep me absorbed, yet the read itself was effortless to read. Yes, I devoured this in one sitting, just like I did with Damon.
Teresa Gabelman has created such a lovely cast of characters that are so easy to fall in love with. The range of personalities that she effectively captures is impressive. In Damon, I had already become fond of the character Jared, his wit and interactions with those around him captured my attention. The self-titled book Jared shaped, challenged and developed his story and character so perfectly. This book is everything I hoped it would be.
If you are looking for a passionate paranormal romance with heart-pounding action, entertaining characters and an engaging plot, then be sure to check out Teresa Gabelman’s The Protectors series.
Jared picks up great story line where Damon left off. These guys are hot and the women strong.if you like paranormal books please do not pass this series up.Teresa Gabelman is a new author i found and i will continue to read this series. Can not wait for Duncan to come out..
**********Contains Spoilers**********
Wow, this book started off with a bang when Tessa Pride and her half-breed brother Adam broke in the VC Warriors compound and took their prisoner Chad Michaels and changed Jared to a chair with silver chains so they could question him on what he knows about what he injected the humans with to turn them and how do they fix what he’d done to them. Jared wasn’t happy and tried to warn both Tessa and Adam that they’re making a huge mistake and if Adam doesn’t get help it could go really bad when he reaches his full potential and the bloodlust could overtake him and he could go on a k*lling rampage and will need to be put down but they leave and Jared vows to find them. I loved the connection between Tessa and Jared right from the moment they met, their banter and insults were awesome. It’s heartbreaking all the sh*t Tessa’s had to deal with first with her physically ab*sive a*sehole drunk of a father and then her good for nothing sh*t for brains ex-boyfriend who not only belittled her constantly but also cheated on her with her best friend so it took awhile for her to accept what Jared said as truth and to accept that she’s not worthless and in Jared’s eyes she’s perfect. The VC Warriors have to track down who are creating the half-breeds and for what purpose. They even question if there’s a breach in the Council as certain things come up that don’t make sense. I loved the the connection between all the VC Warriors, they’re brothers who’ve are forged in blood. Steve completely cracks me up. This is such an awesome series and I’m looking forward to reading what next for the VC Warriors. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
