Their differences separate them—the fate of their world binds them.Laria never planned to make an alien planet her permanent home, and she certainly never planned to get caught in the middle of a power struggle between members of the inhabitant’s ruling family. Things change when she is tasked with retrieving a package—a gorgeous male with intense jade green eyes, a body rippling with muscles, … body rippling with muscles, and shimmering scales begging to be touched.
Jardun is an elite warrior, a protector, a guardian to the ruler. When the leader is infected with a deadly toxin, and the physician capable of developing a cure is abducted, he turns to the humans, the only allies on the planet with the knowledge to assist with a rescue.
What he expects are males trained for combat, males who can help him complete his mission. What he gets is Laria, an intoxicating creature with eyes the color of the midday sky. The infuriating female can wield a blade better than any battle ready soldier, makes his tail twitch, and possesses the alluring scent of a mate.
With time running out and the future of both races depending on their success, can Jardun and Laria overcome their differences long enough to find the cure…and explore the connection growing between them?

Great Alien Romance/Adventure!
Intense start to this new SciFi series. Jardun, a vryndarr warrior, and Laria, one feisty human, are determined to fight their attraction but you can’t fight fate. I love the intriguing twists and characters and look forward to reading more. Enjoy!

Loved Jardun and Laria
Jardun is the leader of the vryndarr, the elite warriors that serve the drezdarr. Khyron, the drezdarr, has been poisoned and the chief healer kidnapped. He needs help to.rescue him.
Laria is human. A teen when the research ship she was traveling on crash landed. The drezarr welcomed her people. His brother wanted the humans gone and waged a war. He was finally defeated, and the human and Ketaurran’s have been slowly rebuilding.
Laira has been tapped to help mount a rescue mission. The healer is believed to have been taken to the human ship. Laria and her friends, Slone and Celeste know the ship and their commander knows a way in.
Ketaurran females are not warriors. While he knows human females can be he didn’t know what they could do until he sees Laria in action.
Jardun and Laria become close and Jardun suspects she is his ketiorra, his mate. If they don’t save Khyron, there may be no future for them.
A fun fast paced and a little steamy alien romance. Interesting world building. Loved Jardun and Laria. Can’t wait for Slone and Garyck’s story. Looking forward to the next book

This is a fascinating human/alien romance story-line. It has a strong female lead as well as the strong alpha male alien which makes for interesting scenes and dialogue. The alpha wants to protect the female, because females need protecting and she’s his mate but doesn’t know it yet! However, the human female has other ideas as she’s learnt to fight and survive and has no intention of being looked down on or thought of as weak. This story has the relationship build as they move through their assigned task/mission. It’s a great read with lots of action and romance.

I loved this alien-human adventure romance. The female characters are strong, confident, smart, and funny; while the male characters, despite their alpha ways, are well developed (in more ways than one!) and open to seeing the women as equals. It is one of those books that will inspire future binge-reading when the rest of the series is published.

It starts out with a bang then goes to a long low moan. A lot going on, action all the time. And it gets better the further you go into the story. It is dangerous just walking out side. It is an awesome story and the worlds people came from warm blooded lizards. So people have scales, tails and some have BIG muscles. I really liked this story. I will wait for more. ONE EXTREME TREAT!!!
Crap! Man, talk about kicking ass and taking names. This is one tough cookie. I think I found my idol. The characters chemistry sizzles from the pages and seem to suck you in the vortex until you feel the wind. The way Rayna has the scenes playing out with such realism you feel your along for the ride. You’re totally awestruck with the badass heroine as she races against time. The characters are intriguing, authentic and realistic with such depth and qualities its easy to relate. The scenes are written with such graphic detail it paints an amazing backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. Fantastic job Rayna, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Very enjoyable sci-fi alien romance. The leading lady Laria along with her crew of women – Sloane and Celeste, were strong women who can fight and defend, but was shown each had their weakness because of the war. The leading man Jardun along with his crew – Zaedon and Garyck were famed vryndarr warriors who also had quirks to their personalities. Jardun seeks help from a old friend (Burke) during the war for help. He’s mission is to find the cure that attacking his ruler and his race and to find their missing scientist who might come up with the cure. Burke send Laria to pick up a package which ends up being Jardun. Jardun is surprised his friend sent a women but because the Luzardees reneging on the deal there’s a confrontation and Jardun sees the true value of Laria and her team. They decide to work together and along the way a relationship blooms. Can they find the cure in time? Loved the romance, the action and the dialog between the crews. This is well written story that I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout.

This was a really great book that gives you a point of view from each character. The characters are both very likeable …the women were strong and confident, and the men were strong warriors themselves. And the dialogue between them were amazing, the author knows her stuff. You wont be disappointed, and I’m hoping for more in this series.
Laria is sent by Burke to pick up a package. She doesn’t know that the package is a Ketaurran. She is to pay the Luzardees, who are lizards and very untrustworthy creatchers. She ends up having to fight them and therefor save herself and her package. Burke and her friends Celeste and Sloane finally catch up with Laria and decide to help. Little to late to help much. They go to a safe house with Jardun and his friends Zaedon and Garyck. They are all going on a quest to find a cure for a toxin that comes from a suclorra plant. They need to save a scientist to give the antidote to the leader of their people. What an exciting story. Lots of fighting and lots of adventure. It a story you should not miss.

Laria, in her role as acquisition specialist, was sent by Burke to retrieve a package from Aztrashar, one of the few remaining inhabitable cities on Ketaurrios. It sounded simple, but it was not. She went into the dilapidated bar to meet with Kowhl. One of the lizard-like Luzardees sitting at a table identified himself as Kowhl. She again noticed her backup and traveling companions, Celeste and Sloane, had still not arrived – not unusual since they were chronically late for everything. Expecting a small box or crate to pick up, Laria was surprised that her package was a male. He was chained and cloaked, but his pale green skin hinted that he was a Ketaurran. But as she paid the Luzardee the bounty for the package, he stated he wanted to renegotiate and wanted higher payment. She told him to take it up with Burke. So he said she could spend the afternoon in his bed instead. Again, she said Burke did not allow that and might even pay them a visit to show him. Unexpectedly, the Ketaurran growled and shook off the hood of the cloak. To her surprise, Laria reacted strongly to the handsome male!
Jardun could not believe Burke sent a female to pick him up! He had met Burke during the war when they both protected the survivors who were caught in the planet’s fighting. He had asked Burke for humans with strong fighting abilities and a talent for procuring items by any means possible. He had not expected a female. Jardun had been an elite warrior who protected their leader; now he tracked traitors and mercenaries who supported the old king’s younger brother, the one who had tried to steal the throne and started the war. He noticed the female’s taking stock of their surroundings constantly, just as his own team would do. He asked her to free him and she firmly refused, telling him he would take him to Burke as instructed. He like her fiery spirit and her honor. She showed no fear. Maybe he had underestimated her.
As expected Kowhl and his crew had come after them and attacked. While they fought the 5 attackers, he sneaked around to kill Jardun, telling him he would be rewarded for proving the death of a Vryndarr! Laria was stunned – they were the drezdarr’s elite guard would never leave their leader’s side. When the fighting ended, Celeste and Sloane finally showed up. They wondered why Burke had them doing bounty work! So he showed up and told them! Burke had two other Vryndarr with him, and Jardun knew him on a first-name basis. She was furious, knowing they had been used in some sort of bigger game plan she hadn’t been included in.
Jardun asked Laria to come with him while he explained why they needed her help. A human scientist had developed a deadly toxin to target his race – and their leader had been infected with it. Through the actions of a traitor, the one person who mentored with the humans and had the medical experience necessary to develop a cure was kidnapped, along with any of the advancements he had developed. Jardun was able to get the physician’s location from Kowhl, but Kowhl betrayed him to get more money once he knew he was a Vryndarr. That same toxin could be developed to target humans, and he hoped that information would get Laria’s commitment. She agrees only to talk to Celeste and Sloane before they make a decision. Will they help? Can they rescue the physician in time? And if they do, can he develop a cure before all of the king’s organs shut down?
This book was outstanding! From the very first page, the tension mounted as Laria approached the untrustworthy Luzardees. And then the reader finds that the “package” they retrieved is not what he seems either! The story line never slows and the characters are so intensely drawn that the reader has unquestioning confidence in them. This was edge-of-the-seat excitement and I loved every minute of it! Grab your copy and see how the strong females demonstrate what humans are capable of!
