Jameson O’Rourke owns the primo tattoo shop in town, one he’s worked hard to build. And in his industry, he’s the current ‘it’ boy, the reigning King of Ink. His career is on fire, so hot television has even come calling. And as a result, the town bad-boy has now become the town’s favored son.
Ava Hightower needs his face on her flyers, if she is to have any hope of her charity gala and bachelor … and bachelor auction being a success. Unfortunately, they get along like oil and water. He’s a hardheaded, controlling jerk, and she’s already had one run-in with the man. Asking him, of all people, for help is the last thing she wants to do.
Not exactly a match made in heaven.
Jameson doesn’t think too highly of Miss Hightower, either.
To him, she’s just an uptight, stuck-up know-it-all; a little Miss Goody-two-shoes. Not in a million years was she the type that he’d have anything to do with. Unfortunately she is also on the city council, and therefore has the ability to screw with his business.
He needed her help once before, and she shot him down.
Now the tables are turned, and she needs his help. Well, my, my, sweetheart, karma can be a cold-hearted bitch.
But, hey, maybe he could work this to his advantage.
You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours, and all that crap.
So they cut a deal. One he has no intention of ever having to fulfill, because he plans to make it impossible for her to keep her end of it.
She thought she could outlast him. Guess again, sweet thing. She may be a stubborn woman, but she’s met her match. And he has no intention of letting her win this game.
Be warned, sweetheart, because the King of Ink has plans to push your limits in ways you’ve never imagined.
This new series from Nicole James, author of the Evil Dead MC Series biker romance is a new addition to the bad boy romance genre with her hot, alpha, dominant men. It’s bad boy romance in the tradition of Kristen Ashley, Joanna Wylde and Madeline Sheehan.

What?! Why did it take me so long to read this?! I’ve had this book for almost a year, just sitting on my Kindle chilling. I’ve read this author before and enjoyed it so I snatched the story up but soon it got pushed away. I was reminded of it again today and thought I would give it a try.
This book was awsome! Face paced and addictive, the reader can feel the tension and passion between these two. I LOVED the brothers and the friendships. I even teared up a time or two with all the feels! Fantastic read, jumping into the next book soon!
Don’t be like me, read this now! Its awsome, lighthearted and wonderful!!
This was an awesome book. Nicole done a fantastic job with the characters. Jameson was the perfect male leading role! Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
Jameson now reaps rewards from hard work he has done over time from his tattoo shop. Ava needs him for her charity gala. Thing is they seem to clash when they encounter each other. I wonder denial much? Another thing she turned him down once when he needs her help. Now they both will make a deal with a secret agenda. Turn the pages to see who is able to pull it off.
A really good read. Love the premise of both taking care of their siblings, both stubborn people. The heat and tension starting out as arguments and ending in great sex. Jameson and Ava are perfect for each other. Can’t wait to read the remaining Brother’s books.
Jameson is my favorite. I love him! What can I say I like jerks that don’t continue to be. Ava was sassy and didn’t take his crap. My favorite type of heroine! Try this book out!
*WARNING* contains explicit adult love scenes
Jamison has fought to climb the ladder and make his business thrive.
Ava runs an employment agency and has a spot on the city council. No way this two would cross paths, right?
The Jamison character almost has a duel personality depending on who he is around. The Ava character is almost to judgemental to get to know people. I like how the two characters seem so different, but underneath they have so much in common. I like the brother’s characters too and i’m interested in reading their stories too.
Well, it seems that Nicole James sure has no problem handling a hot, bossy, grouchy tattoo owner. Why should she? Ask anyone who’s ever read her Evil Dead MC Series. She’s got three club houses to keep up with—each filled with a stable of extremely sexy, domineering, mischievous, gun-totin’, alpha bikers who sometimes need direction when it comes to their women.
Jameson is the first book in Nicole’s new—Brothers Ink Series—and it’s outstanding. We had a taste of him in Ghost, the fifth book in her Evil Dead MC Series.
Jameson O’Rourke is the owner of the hottest tattoo shop around. Jameson is a rock star in the tattoo world. He’s highly world renowned, and definitely sought after by, well, you name it: TV, magazines, bikers, white collar professionals, and charities, especially one that’s run by the prettiest member of the city council, Ava Hightower.
Ava is a thorn in Jameson’s side—his current bane of existence—the last thing this ornery Irishman wants. Maybe. This is where the story starts.
Ava and Jameson’s past, individually, is the reason why they’re exactly the way they are—watching the two of them navigate their way around each other is entertaining and endearing. Jameson’s brothers, Max, Liam, & Rory (grrrr) will each be given their own story, and are a major part of this one—it’s so easy to fall in love with each one of the O’Rourke brothers.
Jameson is a story where every paragraph of every chapter could be highlighted. It’s THAT book—the one where the beauty and heartfelt meanings that lie within the words give the story everything that it deserves—everything that they deserve. The characters and the genre might have turned down a different avenue, but make no mistake, the same exciting writing style that Nicole’s fans have always adored is still right there.
This was a fabulous read—great storyline, amazing, amazing, amazing characters, painstaking attention to detail, along with top-notch editing, made Jameson, hands-down, a five star read for me. Like I said, Nicole James knows a few bossy alphas, and she ain’t afraid to use ’em. Absolutely a must read. I was given this ARC for an honest review, and honest it most certainly is.
When I first read about the ORourke brothers I was hoping they would get their own series, four brothers who work’s in a tattoo shop named Brother Ink, yep I want to read that.
Jameson is a bossy, rude insufferable man, the best person to pair him with is a girl who won’t take his shit.
Jameson and Ava both had a similar upbringing, they are the older sibling who had to step in and take care of their younger siblings. The respect the brothers have for Jameson because he worked hard to make sure they weren’t split up after their parent death is admirable.
I loved his straightforward persona he’s bossy, hot-tempered, hot-headed intimidating, stubborn and gorgeous with an Irish temper. He likes things his way or the highway, he likes to be in control
Self-described as I’m Irish with a temper I wished Ava was more feisty when she was dealing with Jameson, I felt she wimped out a lot when it came to going head to head with him. I loved the first instalment of this series and can’t wait to dive into the rest of the brother’s story.
