A Sinner Who Will Never Be A Saint…Jagger Stone has lived his life by the rules. The rules he’s set forth for himself based on the word he believes.Forgiveness is taught and expected. But faced with Travis’ deception, Jagger is forced to question his beliefs and his place inside the Heaven Hill MC.
I loved reading how Jagger was dealing with what happened in Fury. He’s harboring so many different and conflicting emotions and can’t really process it all. Jaggers pain is profound and was much more then anyone realizes. I can’t wait to see where these novellas will go next
Jagger was the BEST of the shorts so far IMHO and that’s saying something considering each story has been AMAZING!!! In Jagger we really see the cost and effect of Travis’s actions. We get to see how one person’s actions ripple through everyone’s lives and affecting people in profoundly different ways. Jagger is really struggling with how to make sense of what Travis did. There is a really powerful and profound message in this story about forgiveness that I could really learn from. Ms.Briscoe continues to prove that she’s incredibly gifted at telling stories that grab your attention as well as your heartstrings. I CAN’T WAIT to read the next book by this super talented author!! I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book and I would definitely recommend this book!!
These tiny slices of life from Heaven Hill may be quick to read, but they pack the emotional punch of a speeding freight train. After the events in Fury, I’d only really seen one side of the man, the dark side. Jagger asked me to acknowledge that life is made up of lots of colors, not just black and white. To realize that even though so many were crying out for blood, there were still those who remembered the good man now gone. Jagger’s grief and conflicted emotions nearly brought me to tears of my own. I won’t even begin to guess what’s coming next. All I know for certain is that I can’t wait to see it.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
This short is amazing. Jaggers feelings of missing his friend, when all anyone else seems to see is the bad is very emotional. I loved his “meeting” with Caelin. This definitely adds richness to this series.
Amazing….. Jagger’s short story will break your heart. To feel the emotions from him and then from Bianca will have you in tears. Laramie has once again brought the characters to life.
The beauty of forgiveness is the prevalent theme in this short. Jagger has a beautiful heart, and is right, one bad action should not erase decades of good. Can’t get enough of these short stories.
This was a quick read that I had finished in one sitting. This brief look into where Jagger is with the events that took place at the end of Fury – IF YOU HAVE NOT READ FURY then go read that first before reading the short stories or else you will be lost. This brief look give fans of Heaven Hill a look at where Jagger is and how he is dealing with the events that took place. It is also a great short read about forgiveness and grief. This was an amazing quick read that is on the emotional side and not what I expected from the character Jagger but overall fit him well. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
The Aftermath of Travis’ betrayal still sends shockwaves if disbelief through the MC. Jagger, I feel, was affected more because it was someone he loved as family. This short is about the struggle of trying to come to terms with the aftermath if a betrayal that hit close to home.
Jagger is the next novella with events that occur after the betrayal of one of the Heaven Hill MC members. His novella is full of emotion. We get to see his POV and how those events have changed his life.
As with all of these novellas, we get to see how the members are adjusting to the events that changed their world forever. This was another amazing story written by Laramie Briscoe.
Jagger a Heaven Hill short is amazing. Jagger is trying to come to terms with what happened but is having a hard time because its not how other people are feeling. Will he be able to see how others feel and be able to accept it. Laramie does a fantastic job with these short story. Make sure to one click but only if you are up to date with the series.
I just love these shorts. It’s an amazing way to see the internal thoughts of the sub-characters and how they are dealing with life and recent MC troubles. The club is still reeling from Travis’s betrayal. Jagger is taking the situation particularly hard. The author has given us a soul searching, touching story on Jagger and his fight to understand, while what Travis did was the worst and he paid the ultimate price but where is the forgiveness is the hearts of his club brothers? Why does no one understand the heartbreaking loss like he does?
Kudos to the author for this awesome storyline 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars for another must read short for anyone who has read the Heaven Hills MC Series.
Jagger is book #5 in the Heaven Hill Shorts written by the talented author Laramie Briscoe. I truly recommend that you read “Heaven Hill Generations” before starting this series. Jagger’s is a fast pace and very emotional read. This plot takes place two months after the outcome in Fury’s book. It deals with Jagger’s journey through grief, pain, anger, doubt and sorrow. We get to see a bit how some of the Heaven Hill family endure the situation that they all went through. No spoilers! I love this Heaven Hill Shorts and can’t wait for the next one. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Jagger has been through a lot losing his brother Travis but everyone expects him to not mourn the loss. This was an emotional read that I devoured. It was well written and the characters are amazing. I love the Heaven Hill Shorts and can’t wait for the next one to come out. The characters are written with so much emotion that you feel everything the characters are going through. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
These Heaven Hill shorts are quite simply a journey, one of grief that we travel along with each member of this special family. We get to experience firsthand the stages and emotions of loss, confusion, anger, and pain. Jagger’s journey was amazingly heartfelt, a different view of the situation that they all experienced and how he deals with it. I am loving this deep dive into the aftermath that could tear them all apart as they choose to hold onto the love they all share. Simply amazing!
I’m loving these shorts by Laramie Briscoe. This installment, we have a look inside Jagger’s personal conflict 2 months after the event of FURY. If you have yet to read FURY, please skip all the short stories as they’re not only spoilers, you wouldn’t truly appreciate them.
Jagger is the brother of Christy and was Travis best friend. He’s in a turmoil as he felt no one around him would rather forget about Travis rather than mourn for the man he once was. Another beautifully written short story as Laramie Briscoe somehow managed to convey Jagger’s anger, conflict of emotions, guilt and frustration.
It was an emotional read and I couldn’t wait for more.
OMG, I love this story! After having read the other POVs about what transpired in Fury, this story was refreshing (for lack of a better word). Jagger is struggling with the loss of his friend and is at odds with everyone else. He isn’t seeing the situation in black and white. He’s living in the nuances, trying to not forget the good. I am so glad Laramie included this in her short series dealing with the aftermath. His unwillingness to not discount his friend’s past rang true with me and I was glad to experience this honesty and ultimate forgiveness. Looking forward to the next one!
Short, sweet and a lesson to learn. Everyone grieves differently. Jagger will over come this but not with out talking to his club.
Can you be a good person who does a bad thing? Jagger is mourning his friend and struggling with defining years of being in a family to a single bad act. The situation is made more painful since Jagger feels alone in his grief. Can he find acceptance in his actions and those of the others that were involved? Jagger is the 5th novella in the Heaven Hill Shorts. It is recommended that you read “Heaven Hill Generations” before starting this series.
I’ve always loved Jagger, but this short read made me love him even more. As you read what one of the members did to the club, to the families, it’s hard to see other sides. Other ppl like Jagger who are mourning a friend. Another great read in the short series of reads.
