Jaeger’s Lost and Found is the only finder shop to be had on the whole of the west coast. The problem is, Archibald Jaeger, the last of the Jaeger line, seems to be defective. A result of too many generations of crossbreeding with humans. But Jaegers are finders, and there’s nothing to be done about it. Gael Murray has lost his connections. A vampire can’t survive without the energy exchange he … exchange he has with the members of his coven through mental links. And, as of this morning, they’ve all vanished. Gael will die if he doesn’t reinstate his connections through a blood exchange. And his only hope to find the other members of his coven is to hire a finder.
Even a terrible finder is better than none at all.
Together Gael and Archie set out to save Gael’s life, but what was an already difficult task becomes nearly insurmountable. And Archie, who can never find what he’s looking for, finds himself falling in love with a man he’ll be hard pressed to save.

I thoroughly enjoyed this paranormal romance. Archie has a few…quirks. I’d be a bit twitchy if I had every lost object yelling at me to be ‘found’. Gael made me smirk with his cocky, self-assured attitude; especially when it doesn’t affect Archie. The poor guy is a bit taken aback and not sure how to handle someone not falling for his persuasion. In short order, these two find something worthwhile in each other and fall. I liked the changes in Gael from self-absorbed to being focused on Archie. Archie gains self-confidence and a handle on his abilities. Archie’s BFF Edie is a hoot, although I don’t think I’d want to run into her in a dark alley!
Jaeger’s Lost and Found by Ofelia Gränd is a great story that I have enjoyd reading very much. I really enjoyed reading this story cause I like reading about vampires. I recommend this story to everyone who likes reading about LGBT and paranormal romances in their stories.

Sometimes when you keep looking, your prize is right in front of your eyes. Archie constrained because of his many phobias. Gael, vampire by choice needs to find vampires in his coven, with whom he can bond to preserve his life. He neglected to pay his tithes for the last 50-60years. Can this mission be successful with these acquaintances of different skills abilities and powers? Will Gael find his coven before he suffers from the disconnect. What conflicts will Archies face? Can he overcome them? Interesting story. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
A fun and inspiring story. I did not, at the beginning, think I would grow to like the three main characters but I did. Over the course of their adventure, all three reconsider their situation and take a chance on trusting the others. Archie, the finder who runs the lost and found store, was my favorite of the three. He is so hampered by his phobias to start but, with a nudge or thirty and support, he moved past them to selflessly aid Gael. All three have a chance to take risky, selfless chances to support the others, even irascible Edie. With a bit of steam, plenty of action and urgency, and some interesting supernatural world building, this story, like Nine Stones and others I have read by Ofelia Grand, stands out as original and well-written with a touch of heat and humor. Enjoyable, yes!

This is a well written short story with strong characters and an interesting story line. The author does a great job developing the story and characters and brings it to life with her descriptive writing and detailed scenes. She moves the story quickly and smoothly and delivers an enjoyable read.

Archie, Edie, and Gael were great characters, I loved interactions between Archie and Edie. The story flowed well from beginning to end and was a great way to pass a bit of time. This was a short but very entertaining read.

This is a wonderful story of lost and found in more ways than one. Archibald is a finder, except he can’t seem to find whatever it is he’s looking for. More like things find him. Gael has been so self-absorbed in his life that he has lost connection to the clan whose energy he needs to survive. And Edie is a half-breed who has never had a place. It was absolutely fantastic to watch these three people work through their insecurities and weaknesses to find love and a willingness to sacrifice everything for someone else. Another unique, creative, and heart-warming story from Ofelia.

I would rate this 4 stars.
Archie, Archibald Jaeger, is from a long line of respected finders. Unfortunately, his talent for finding doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to. His business partner and best friend Edie, is the only person keeping him from being a hermit. When a vampire named Gael comes looking for a finder to help with his missing coven, there is more on the line than ever before. Archie is completely out of his comfort zone with someone’s life in his hands. Gael is having to face home truths in the face of his imminent death. Coming to care about each other in these circumstances, no one saw coming.
What made this novella work for me was all of Archie’s quirks, compulsions, and neuroses. Gael has to face his own bad judgments, regrets, and mistakes. They had no room to judge each other, and with the clock ticking down, no time. It’s their foibles that make them dimensional. Their support of each other is uncharacteristic of how they interact with others. They just fit together. The author does a good job of capturing steamy moments of carpe diem. I enjoyed the flashes of humor. The moments that tugged my heart made this worth reading.
Unfortunately, there is not much world building so details about nagi, shifter, or vampire culture, or life in the human or nonhuman zones aren’t explored. Edie is a large part of the plot and is only on page at the beginning and the end. The big issue is how Gael’s mental connection to his coven is described as a “Milky Way of linked minds, his internal sky of diamonds” which seems too similar to the Psy-Changling series by Nalini Singh. With the way this was resolved, I do wonder about what changes in character Archie would have, but there is no way to know.
The cover design was done by Written Ink Designs. I think that is supposed to be rain, which most of the story takes place in. There is also supposed to be a ghostly hand, so it could be that? I’m not really sure this cover communicates anything about the story at all except showing Archie.
