The devil came to me in disguise. Too bad I didn’t notice until it was far too late.
Vanessa:The devil doesn’t always wear an evil mask.Sometimes, he appears in the most beautiful form.Like the super-hot bad boy with the dirty-blond hair and a wicked glint in his blue eyes who swept in out of nowhere, stealing all the air from my lungs.I thought he was my savior. But he’s my ruination. And he’s … thought he was my savior.
But he’s my ruination.
And he’s just taken a machete to my heart.
Jackson:
For years, my rage seethed under the surface. Hidden behind a cloudy haze of my poison of choice.
But now, the fog has cleared.
And I’m out for blood.
I will annihilate those responsible for taking my sister from me.
Except he’s not here, so I go for the next best target.
The woman he abandoned.
Until it suited him to drag her into this messed-up elite world.
Sucks to be her.
Because when I’m done with Vanessa, she’ll wish she was dead.

Oh!! Hells Yes!! This book, my friends!! This AMAZINGLY PHENOMENAL Book was exactly what I thought it would be and then some. I knew Siobhan was gonna slay Jackson’s book. TBH I have been salivating for him since day.freakin.one when I met him back in Cruel Intentions. I am mentally spent after this book, though in the best way. This is the best kind of book hangover, y’all! I laughed, I cried, I swooned and I swore. It was a marathon of emotions. One that I would gladly run again and again. (I tend to do re-reads of the Rydeville Elite Series b/c It’s so damn addictive)
Jackson’s character is legit everything I knew he was gonna be multiplied by 1000! From the beginning he had a mission, a goal and nothing was gonna deter him from that. He was ruthless, a jerk, gorgeously hot, but he was also caring as well. He has a big heart, he just tries to hide that fact. We’ve all loved the playful playboy since day one, but here we get to see a different side with this more adult version of Jackson. I think we all knew it was gonna take one heck of a girl to bring that boy to his knees and Vanessa “Nessa” sure is the one to do it.
She was smokin hot, sweet, but she was so strong. The resilience in this character, y’all. It makes me tear up just thinking about it. In many ways she was broken, but not beyond repair. The strength she showed about how rise from the ashes was inspiring. My heart broke over and over again. I wanted for her to get everything good in this world and I wanted Jackson to give it to her. But I wasn’t sure if it was possible, they had so much working against them.
Now, with that said… Their journey was by no means an easy one. But it was a tragically beautiful one. Their connection was spectacular and off the charts of the “meant to be scale.” I felt like she brought out the best parts of Jackson, and he was able to give her all the things she was missing in her life. Not necessarily just monetary things but the things that truly matter. GAH! This story gutted me, before it put me back together. But I loved every single second. That’s not to say I didn’t have several moments of wanting to bash my kindle over the heads of several characters at many different times. But… I was obsessed with every word on every page, from start to finish! It.was.that.fantastic!!
Nessa and Jackson’s story is one for the books and MUST not be missed!

My Cr8zysockbookblock blog wrap up :
-EVERYTHING!Jackson’s book was it. Everything I was yes and So.Much.More! Their spectacular journey has it all. Love, lies, suspense, thrills, so much heat, forgiveness, and all your favorites back together again! YES PLEASE!
– I’m not sure there are adequate words to describe the level of hotness the book delivers. Vanessa and Jackson are next level. Siobhan writes these sexy scenes full of such delicious details you legit feel like you are there, almost as a voyeur. It’s beyond hot and makes for a super smokin read!
Cliffhanger Warning- I AM IN LOVE WITH THE ENDING!!
Trigger Warning-This book is a Bully/Gang romance and does have some violent scenes, and scenes that discuss disturbing memories for one of our characters that could be considered triggers for some. If you have concerns you can PM for more information.
Siobhan Davis gives me something more amazing and fascinating in each new story. Jackson won my heart and soul fair and square. This sexy, passionate and adrenaline fuelled story has captured every single piece of me!
I have been waiting for Jackson Lauder’s story breathlessly. He is a part of Rydeville Elite High crew. His only agenda right now is to take revenge on the vile person who is responsible for his little sister Dani’s suicide. And Vanessa Montgomery is the key. But as he comes close to her and gets to know her, his fake feelings get very very real. Nessa has been through hell but she is not sure she can survive Jackson.
Jackson is EVERYTHING I expected him to be and then some more. He is cocky, arrogant and the ultimate playboy. But this same playful and flirting guy holds a world of pain, anger and guilt in his dark heart. He has this edgy personality that is toxic to enemies trying to hurt his people. At the same time he is exceptionally tender and caring towards Vanessa. His possessive and protective side made me swoon so bad. And Nessa is his true partner. I am completely awed by her. This girl is the magnificent combination of strength, vulnerability, resilience and survival skills. My heart breaks so hard for her trauma. It was truly disgusting and horrifying. But she came back to life every single time. Not only that, she managed to still care and love the important people in her life even if it’s at cost of more sacrifice on her part. She has been misunderstood by everyone including Jackson. But she was actually hiding her broken pieces behind the impulsive, party-going, drug addict and reckless persona.
Their chemistry is something legendary. They had trust issues and their road to happily ever after was rocky to say the least. But they stood by each other till the end. They are partners in every sense. They faced the corrupt and powerful Elite and their fight is far from over. The storyline was exhilarating and kept me on the edge of my seat all the time. The emotions were running high and my mind is in an emotional choas! The author dragged me through hell but I loved it!
I live for the angsty, overwhelming, steamy and action packed world of Rydeville High. And Siobhan Davis managed to rock my world again. Jackson was one unforgettable ride for sure.
Received ARC for honest review
BLOWN AWAY!! I have loved the Rydeville series since the very beginning. I always had a special spot in my heart for Jackson. This book did not disappoint for me. I loved getting to know Jackson and even Vanessa (Nessa). This book had so much drama and fun I couldn’t put it down. There were a lot of nail bitting moments. A lot of tissue and a whole lot throwing my kindle at the wall. I think this is the most exciting book for me in this series (I love you Kai & Abby). I’m not sure my heart is ready for Sawyer…But Bring It Siobhan

I have been wanting Jackson’s story since we were introduced to him and this world in Cruel Intentions, so I was really excited to read an early copy of this book.
Ms. Davis always gives us over the top scenarios that will definitely push buttons for some. This world is absolutely twisted and not for everyone. You are thrown back into the Rydeville Elite world with Jackson and Vanessa.
I loved them together but seriously there were so many moments of frustration with both of them. So many things could have been prevented if they had communicated with each other, but if that happened we would’ve had a boring story. And this book was anything but boring. You are completely taken for a crazy ride up until the very end. Whenever I read anything by Siobhan Davis I have crazy highs and crazy lows while reading, but she always gives us an HEA. Loved it!
I have been anxiously awaiting Jackson’s book since he was first introduced to us. It was so worth the wait! Him and Vanessa story had me on my toes. Being able to see inside their minds while they deal with all the drama surrounding their lives and come together was great. I’ve come to understand a deeper connection to them than I first felt in the epilogue of the previous book and I am so glad to see both of them get their HEA.
I just love this series! There was a lot happening in this book. Some resolutions and events to keep you on the edge of your seat! I cannot wait for Sawyer’s book 😉 I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Step back into the insane world of the Elite with Jackson book #5.
I may have wanted to slap Vanessa at times but I the push and pull between her and Jackson was great.
I love getting to see other Siobhan worlds woven and and can’t wait to see what happens next in Sawyer.
I have loved Jackson since we met him the very first time in Cruel Intentions. From the very beginning his wit, sarcasm, and ability to make people smile showed just how complicated he really was. This book gives us a look at what Jackson is like without the haze of alcohol, and weed numbing his feelings.
This book focuses on Jackson when he no longer is under the influence of the drugs and alcohol. This is the Jackson that I have been wanting to see since the begining. It is obvious that has large feelings, and cares about his closest friends. He is looking for a way to avenge his sisters death. Vanessa is someone that we have gotten glimpses of throughout the series, but we don’t really know anything about her. This book shows us that appearances can be deceiving in so many ways, and it is important to look beyond the surface to see what is really going on in a person.
Holy twisted suspense! Jackson’s story is a page turner I found hard to set down. He’s always been my favorite flirty, damaged horn dog among my guys. At times I wanted to throttle him but he’s just so freaking good at redeeming himself. Loved this intense, steamy story with all of my favorite characters popping up. Vanessa is a bit broken herself but she’s really a badass heroine in the making. She’s a survivor. A protector. Even heartbroken this girl fights like a champ. Lots of angst and unpredictable twists. Don’t miss this one!
If I could I’d give this book 10
I totally struggled to put Jackson down, done in one sitting til 2.30am but totally worth it and no regrets.
That was outstanding! Absolute perfection
Jackson and Nessa are amazing!!! They are the perfect couple, building eachother up, supporting eachother.
this book so so much.
I was lucky enough to review an ARC of this book.
Siobhan has never once let me down and this book was no exception!
I had been dying to get Jackson’s story ever since I realized how much pain he carried around in previous books and I’m so glad this book did him justice. He deserved to find a girl so perfect for him and Vanessa doesn’t disappoint. She may have a rocky past of her own but, like Jackson, she’s determined to keep moving forward.
Jackson and Vanessa’s up and downs are like a rollercoaster that takes you on the best ride. You can feel their chemistry from beginning to end, no matter how much they try to hide it.
As always, there are appearances from our other Rydeville favorites. I loved that they were more than a blip in the story and actually became an integral part of it. Now bring on Sawyer and Drew’s books!!
Please heed the trigger warning as those couple spots can get detailed and may be hard for some readers.

Another book in the Rydeville Elite series, and I happily devoured it. Jackson is not your typical bully…he’s got a whole plan worked out and he’s not vindictive, he’s just hurting and not grieving in the proper way.
Enter Nessa, little does Jackson know but she’s hurting from her own troubles and has no idea how much worse it’s about to get, or that her troubles from before all circle back to what’s about to happen now.
It’s such good writing when an author can make you truly loathe a person. There are some very graphic scenes regarding the deaths of some characters and rather than being turned off or grossed out, I was thinking “YES!” These men deserved it that much.
One of the things I loved most about this story, is how Jackson’s friends saw that he was wrong and rallied around Nessa even though some of them had only just met her. It shows what good people these characters truly are, even though we’ve seen some nastier sides to some of them. I love seeing Abby and Kai more and I love the teasers we get into possible future stories with Drew and Sawyer. As I probably always will, I loved seeing some of the Kennedys throughout this book as well. I’m so incredibly happy with how the characters between the two series end up crossing paths and working together, but especially in this book.
We do not get a typical cliffhanger at the end of this book. Jackson and Nessa’s story is fairly neatly wrapped up, though it’s obvious we will likely see them again in other books. I liked to view into what’s going on with Sawyer and what we might see in his book.
If you like bully romance, or just are a fan of Davis’ work, I encourage you to read this series. If you’ve already started, you’re going to want to pick this up immediately!
*I was honored with an advanced copy of this book, which I voluntarily reviewed.*
I knew Jackson would be my favorite because I loved him during Abby and Kai’s books.
This book will have you hooked.
Friends, family, love, hate, and pain will have you turning every page.
Jackson and Vanessa are just as addicting.
Vanessa’s character is one strong female. My heart broke for her and I honestly think I like her more than Abby.
Such a fantastic book. Siobhan does it again.
4.5
It was only supposed to be a plan for revenge but you know what they say about best laid plans right?
When we meet Vanessa in the prologue, she is this bad woman but then something switches and we meet this meek, naive woman and you’re left wondering wtf?
As the story progresses we learn Vanessa has been through literal hell and back so her personality change fit for what she went through, although she still had those moments of naivety that made you want to shake her.
Jackson played the game well until the game ended up playing him. Oh but boy did he lay it on thick. At times, I couldn’t believe the words were coming from the same man we met previously.
There’s nothing like a guy breaking down and becoming vulnerable and I liked seeing that side of Jackson.
I also loved the cameos and the bond the Rydeville crew share.
Siobhan Davis once again weaved one crazy twisted tale that left you greedily eating up the pages. She also left a teasing morsel of what’s to come for Sawyer and I cannot wait. I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
The Rydeville Elite series has been an addicting rollercoaster ride from the beginning. I have been waiting for Jackson’s book forever and seriously could not wait to see him brought to his knees! For that reason, this book was an addicting read from the get go. It was filled with secrets, assumptions and ulterior motives that had me flipping pages like a mad woman.
While this book is a standalone, there is some overlap with the previous four books in the series, so I would recommend reading those first. Jackson and Nessa were so sexy together. Their chemistry was combustible and while I didn’t love the revenge game that Jackson was playing, I couldn’t help but want to find out the truth.
Overall, this story was compelling and the storyline was great. I loved how Nessa made Jackson feel despite the games being played and how their emotional connection developed amidst all the secrets and lies. Now I can’t wait for more! 4 stars! ~Ratula
This book was EVERYTHING! If you thought Abby and Kai’s story was insane, wait until you read this. It was heart wrenching and had me on the edge of my seat, but it had such sweet moments. Jackson and Vanessa are perfect for each other. It took them a long time to get there but the journey was so worth it. Grab this as soon as you can.
I LOVED this book! This storyline is pure GOLD!! Jackson and Vanessa are so good together. The whole Rydeville crew are back in this one taking on the Elite. Steps are taken to keep the ladies safe and we get some appearances from the Kennedy’s as well as a little Prestwick guest! Love the way Siobhan keeps us guessing! You don’t want to miss Jackson and Vanessa’s story!
I was so excited to get to read Jackson’s story and it really picks up and continues with the whole Rydeville elite drama. Will it ever end? I hope so in Saywers book.
The storyline was intriguing and full of plenty of drama and suspense and kept me entertained!
BUT goood lord Vanessa has a extreme trigger worthy history and present! You couldn’t help feel for her because the impression everyone had of her was not the truth of it but she kept getting kicked when she was down. I couldn’t even imagine how you would feel mentally knowing these things kept happening to you or these people kept treating you that way. I’m surprised she didn’t take other actions because of how lost she felt. I mean, gosh these ladies in Rydeville definitely get treated terribly.
And Jackson, I just wanted to smack him around when he got all assuming and childish – and started treating people like dirt. I get the persona he tries to give off but always so disappointing when you see it happen when you’ve already learned there is good in them.
This book definitely requires you to have an open mind, it’s not for the faint hearted and remember it is fiction. But really if you’ve read the Rydeville series already with Kai and Abby, then nothing should surprise you here!

b>5 You Never Have To Beg Stars
“The devil came to me in disguise. Too bad I didn’t notice until it was far too late.”
Jackson is the fifth book in the Rydeville Elite series and it was one of my most anticipated reads this year. While it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the whole series so you have a better background on the characters present. Jackson was everything I was hoping for and more. Siobhan Davis has created an intricate, dark, underground world with the Rydeville series that I am completely enthralled with. Danger, darkness, and deceit is around every corner and I AM HERE FOR IT.
Jackson is the quintessential playboy. His charming, jokester, flirty personality and model looks make it easy for girls to fall at his feet. He used woman an alcohol to numb the devastation over the death of his sister but soon that isn’t enough. He wants to avenger Dani’s death and when the drug and alcohol induced fog is finally cleared, he’s out for revenge. Jackson has known Vanessa for years and her clingy, drunken hot mess self is his best bet for getting revenge. Vanessa doesn’t stand a chance against his charming ways, but Jackson wasn’t counting on the independent, gorgeous woman who’s cleaned up her act to steal his heart in the process.
Vanessa. This girl has been through hell and back and is the epitome of strength and perseverance. She spent her teenage years being an unpredictable wild child but once her stepdad kicks her out, she heads to New York where she re-evaluates her life and begins to settle down. Vanessa’s character was a pleasant surprise and I immediately fell in love with her strength and tenacity. That girls was thrown more sh*t than any one person should take, and she still came out swinging.
“My beautiful, brave warrior. Still battling. Still surviving.”
This story hit the ground running and it didn’t stop straight through the very end. Jackson and Nessa found love and passion within each other and it was something neither one expected or was prepared for. Their story, both as individuals and as a couple was heartbreaking. They had both been through so much and I just wanted to jump through the pages and hug Nessa, then tell Jackson to pull his out out of his ***.
If you’ve read the first four books in the Rydeville series, then you know how dangerous and deceiving the Elite are. Danger presents itself at every turn and Nessa and Jackson were no strangers to it. Their journey was not an easy one, filled with pain, suffering, and heartbreak. Secrets and revelations, twists and turns in every chapter kept the pages turning until I finished in one sitting.
Davis rocked my world when she introduced me to the Rydeville Elite and she continues to do so with each new addition to the series. I live for it. It is dark and gritty and gets better with each book. I cannot wait to see what my favorite characters are up to next in Sawyer’s book.
I’ve been soooo excited for Jackson Lauder. He’s been one of my favorites since meeting him in book one of the Rydeville series!
When I finally got my hands on this book, I didn’t want to put it down. This story holds so much emotion and pain— that I wasn’t expecting. I caught myself fighting off tears a few times.
Jackson’s side of the story is him seeking revenge, but falling for a girl he never expected to fall for— and also dealing with his grief.
Nessa, that poor girl went through entirely too much and my heart legit broke for her, but her will to be independent, to protect and to love was admirable. If I were in her shoes I’d be a shell of myself, but she fought, fought and fought.
I loved Jackson and Nessa together. They were sweet, funny, hot and when they had lows I felt their love for each other most. Their story had a lot of angst and I loved that!
I don’t want to give too much away, but you get to see a lot of the Rydeville favorites which I LOVED. You get to see familiar enemies. There are so many heart pounding moments! Such a good read!
