The devil came to me in disguise. Too bad I didn’t notice until it was far too late.
Vanessa:The devil doesn’t always wear an evil mask.Sometimes, he appears in the most beautiful form.Like the super-hot bad boy with the dirty-blond hair and a wicked glint in his blue eyes who swept in out of nowhere, stealing all the air from my lungs.I thought he was my savior. But he’s my ruination. And he’s … thought he was my savior.
But he’s my ruination.
And he’s just taken a machete to my heart.
Jackson:
For years, my rage seethed under the surface. Hidden behind a cloudy haze of my poison of choice.
But now, the fog has cleared.
And I’m out for blood.
I will annihilate those responsible for taking my sister from me.
Except he’s not here, so I go for the next best target.
The woman he abandoned.
Until it suited him to drag her into this messed-up elite world.
Sucks to be her.
Because when I’m done with Vanessa, she’ll wish she was dead.
An interconnected standalone dark romance set in the Rydeville Elite world. Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended to readers aged eighteen and over. Some scenes may be triggering. Full length, 126k word, novel.

All of Siobhan’s books are wonderful, but this may have been the best to date. I could not put this book down! I loved every minute of it!
I was lucky to read the beta version of this book. I love being one of the first people to get my grabby hands on Siobhan’s books.
I love the way she always delivers. This book seriously kidnapped me. It was VERY hard to return to reality every time reality forced its way in. I’ve got a full time job, and a 5 year old, so reality intruded a lot.
Jackson made me hate him, but in the end I forgave him, as did the heroine. It was so nice to see him heal and get his HEA. I loved his leading lady. She has been through so much. I’m so glad Jackson proved he was worthy of her in the end.
This is a must read for fans of this series.
Intense, cruel, intriguing. This book will take you on a wild emotional ride.
‘Jackson’ by Siobhan Davis is the newest installment into the ‘Rydeville High Elite’ series. It can be read as a standalone and if you happened to have read the previous book, you’ll get updates and insights on all the previous couples and everything that’s going on in their world.
In perfect Siobhan nature, this book is beautiful but cruel, you will fall in love with these characters from the get-go, and when things start to finally look up for them, chaos erupts and pushes them through Hell and back.
This book is seriously intriguing, giving you a false sense of hope before shattering your world in the best ways possible, showing you the darkest sides of humanity but also showing you the power of love, hope, and friendship.
I had loved Jackson in all of the previous books, I understood he was a haunted and broken man and that he’d need a h*ll of a woman to put up with him, but I didn’t understand the depth of his character.
He is caring and attentive, protective and almost possessive, he can be irrational and also blind, cruel and mean and stupid but deep down, he is just a man scared to love who’d rather chase revenge than happiness.
Jackson is a very complex character that will steal your heart, he’ll make you love and laugh with his irresistible and charming ways, but he’ll also make you cry and suffer almost as much as he does.
Watching him grow up and mature is one of the best aspects of this book, seeing him go from boy to man, getting to know himself and his feelings.
Vanessa is as sweet as they come, I have to admit, I didn’t have the best impression of her coming into this story due to how she was portrayed previously, but the more I read and the more I understood why she acted the way that she did and why she deserves more love than anyone of this world.
She is a shell of a woman at the beginning, someone trying to get back on her feet and make it on her own. She is funny and beautiful, smart and caring, she is also fragile but strong at the same time, making her an amazing character to follow.
Vanessa is going to have to go through so much in this book in order to get where she needs to be, she’ll be hurt and in pain, but she’ll also be happy, brave and immensely independent.
Seeing her blossom and become this incredible woman was fascinating, seeing her work over her past and get better, understanding every thing she does and seeing her love and be loved.
Their relationship is a complicated one, one that will force you to face and understand their deepest and darkest fears and secrets, one that will steal your heart and make you melt into a big puddle of awe.
This book is an incredible rollercoaster of emotions, a journey full of hardship and secrets, full of love and friendship, full of courage and strength, a story made to inspire.
If you enjoyed the previous books in this series, or if you enjoy love stories with a good amount of mystery, secret societies, amazing characters, incredible stories, this is the book for you!
Wow! Another amazing read by this author ! I LOVED the Rydeville Elite series so when I heard Jackson was getting a book I knew I had to read it ! I truly enjoy everything I’ve read by Siobhan Davis and this was no different, it was angsty emotional and steamy hot ! You can never go wrong with this author ! This was a great addition to this addictive series so don’t miss out on Jackson and Nessa’s emotional heartbreaking story ! Definite 5 stars and a definite must read!
***ARC GIVEN FOR MY HONEST OPINION ***
4.5
Siobhan has killed me again. Her books make me feel so much. I cried, I raged, I hurt, I loved, and I healed with these characters.
I thought I understand how evil the elite were with Abby, but I didn’t. The things Vanessa went through hurts my heart so bad. She is a survivor, a warrior, a protector, and a healer.
Jackson, poor broken Jackson. His heart was in the right place, but his actions weren’t. Vengeance rules his life and he almost lost the one who brought life back into it.
My only qualms are, perhaps Abby was so strong and made such an impact (I can not get over that lunch table scene. GIRL CRUSH), but I feel like Vanessa was a bit lackluster. And made some questionable choices. I chalked up those choices that her whole life she doesn’t know what real normal should be in relationships that she was clueless. I do approve of how she avenged herself. Full heartedly approve. Cut Cut. Slice Slice.
All that being said. I really enjoyed this book. I can not wait for the rest. I’m like dying to know what happens!!!!!!!!
I have been waiting for this book since I first met Jackson in Cruel Intentions and Siobhan did NOT disappoint! I love the ups and downs that have you hooked from the first chapter.
4.5 Elite Stars!
LOVED Jackson by Siobhan Davis! I’m abducted to the Rydeville Elite series. It is kindle crack. Author Siobhan Davis delivers another rollercoaster ride filled with twists and turns and shocking revelations that had me devouring this book in one sitting.
I have been waiting for Jackson’s story since we met him in book 1, Cruel Intentions. His character intrigued me and made me laugh. Author Siobhan Davis does not disappoint. She stayed true to Jackson and all her characters, which I love. He is gorgeous, sexy, funny, charming, deceptive and bent on revenge. No matter the cost.
Vanessa is the perfect heroine to compliment our antihero, Jackson. She is beautiful, sassy, vulnerable and determined to put the past behind her. But when the past comes knocking on her door, she cannot resist. Let the games begin.
I. Love. Them. The push / pull is intense. The banter is fantastic. The chemistry is explosive. The slow burn smolders. I love the way the author develops their connection and their story. Not to mention I love Sawyer and his part in this book.
A need for vengeance and misinterpretation leads to jaw dropping twists, kindle throwing frustration and heartbreaking emotion. Jackson has it all…drama, steam, secrets, lies and deception. It is an amazing mind game. Just when I thought I could breathe again, another shoe drops! Highly addicting.
Jackson is an interconnected standalone, so while it can be read independently, I recommend you read the series to truly enjoy it. There is overlap with the supporting characters and storyline. You won’t be disappointed. This is a fabulous bully/ enemies to lovers series, with fantastic characters. I cannot wait for more!!
Jackson is book five in the Rydeville series. It can be read as a standalone. I’m loving this series and would recommend reading the others first because there is a lot of interconnection with the previous books. I really liked Jackson. I think he might be my favorite guy in the Rydeville series. He’s focused on getting revenge. Vanessa is sweet and strong. She an handle Jackson. She has issues too. These two are good together. This one is a page turner and one you should check out.
Jackson had me all over the place. I knew coming into this story that it was going to be intense, and it was. Siobhan has a way with words, and building these intense stories that just totally captivate you.
In Jackson, we have our female lead Vanessa who has already gone through so much in her young life. No body knows all the secrets she has kept. Ones that she has tried so hard to hide from everyone. Which had let her to act out in her younger years. Now she is trying to turn over a new leaf, but the past keeps trying to drag her back kicking and screaming.
Enter Jackson, he has a plan that involves Vanessa, one that he does not care who he hurts to get to the heart of his revenge. Even sweet Vanessa, he will use her and hurt her because she is a means to an end. But little does he know that she will get under his skin. And suddenly his agenda does not seem so clear cut anymore.
Guys when I say that there is so much angst, heartache, secrets, hatred, and just a plain wild ride. I could not put Jackson down. Things kept happening at a rapid pace, I just did not want to put my kindle down for nothing. I loved the ending, and also we get to see who is next. Which will be Sawyer. I cannot wait for his story.
5 JACKSON STARS!! Here we go again, back in the Ryderville world and oh what a ride it is. Jackson and Vanessa will take you on one heck of a emotional rollercoaster ride that you will never forget. This author sucks you into her storytelling world and you never want to leave.
I genuinely love Siobhan Davis’ writing. She always writes stories with amazing storylines that are engaging and emotional, and characters you can’t help but empathize with. The author pulls you into the story from the beginning and keeps you hostage till the very end.
Jackson is filled with the perfect amount of drama, twists and turns, sizzling chemistry, secrets, lies, betrayal, suspense, mystery, revenge, and love. If you want a book to get lost in, this is the book for you.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

Wow!!!! Who knew Jackson Lauder had such different sides to him. Seeking revenge is on his mind when it comes to childhood “friend” Vanessa. Their paths crossed then and cross now for other reasons. Jackson’s reasoning is not so pure but vital to him. Side note: so many “Easter eggs” have been hidden and then exposed in a whole basket. Parts of this are dark and twisted but if you’ve read any of the Rydeville Elite series you know the types of things that happen.
I loved Jackson’s story!! The entire Rydeville Elite series is one of my favorites to date! Siobhan Davis has done something amazing with this world. A world that is filled with dark, twisted and dangerous situations around every turn! You truly NEVER know what to expect when it comes to anything concerning Rydeville but you can always expect some twisted individual making an appearance. It’s completely riveting from the beginning to the end. From the very first book of this series, she’s had me completely obsessed with all things Rydeville, even the “villains”!
Jackson Lauder has waited long enough to take his revenge against those who hurt his sister and he refuses to sit any longer. He’s taking the action he needs to in order to get what he considers justice for his sister. Somewhere along the way, his need for revenge got clouded by that organ beating inside his chest…the organ that truly wants something different from this situation. However, Jackson refuses to be hindered in his quest; he will get his revenge and nothing will stop him…not even his own heart.
Vanessa Breen is about as broken as they come; all that she wants in life is to put the past behind her and create some type of life where her monsters can’t hurt her anymore. When Jackson comes along though, it changes everything. Whereas there are some moments that Nessa seems weak and ignorant of the danger truly surrounding her; I can sense the strength in her. It takes a lot to stand up to someone who has hurt you and when you feel like you have no one in your corner it makes it that much harder. Fear is a powerful tool used to manipulate people and when you have someone you love that can be used in that way it makes it that much harder for you to break free of the chains placed on you by your own monsters.
Abby and the rest of the crew definitely make appearances in this and I LOVE IT ALL! Abby is one of my top 5 heroines EVER!!!! I absolutely love the fierceness in which she is determined to protect her family and friends. ALL OF THE crossover appearances in this book MADE MY FREAKIN DAY! LOVE LOVE LOVE this world and I can’t wait for Sawyer’s book next.
Jackson is book 5 of a series of interconnected books. There is an overall plot that spans across the entire series. I’m listing the series below in case you wish to start at the beginning.
Rydeville Elite
1. Cruel Intentions
2. Twisted Betrayal
3. Sweet Retribution
4. Charlie
5. Jackson
**I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Jackson is the fifth book in the Rydeville Elite series, but the second inter-connected standalone. You don’t need to read the previous books, however, I would highly recommend that you do to get a better all-around feel for these characters and second characters. Siobhan does try her best to do a quick synopsis on certain things to help understand parts of the plot, but it is a lot to summarize and wholly understand.
This book surrounds Jackson Lauder and his urgency to exact revenge on those who caused his sister’s suicide years ago; the very men who are the founding fathers of the Elite organization. And he’ll do whatever is necessary to see those who caused her harm, pay the price. And that includes seducing an old acquaintance.
Jackson and Vanessa partied in the same circles when they were starting out in high school. However, they were never what you consider as friends. They were both big drinkers, dabbled in drugs and were quite promiscuous. But now that they are older, they realize they both did not act in the best ways and are trying to start over.
I won’t go into details about either of their pasts beyond that because it’s their pasts that shape things in this book and prompt things to happen. The blurb explains that Jackson will be using Vanessa for his own personal revenge and that’s all you need to know.
Siobhan plays this plot out well and with lots of twists and turns. Just when you think you know how things are going to play out, there is another surprise thrown into the plot line. And it’s not an out of nowhere surprise that doesn’t make sense, but it’s one that takes the plot even deeper and has the reader pondering what happens next.
There are a lot of previous characters mentioned in this book, which is a necessity. As I said earlier, Siobhan does her best to keep new readers abreast on how everyone and everything interconnects and not become too overwhelming. This series is very addicting and I feel with these new standalones, Siobhan keeps things interesting while keeping Elite organization just as enticing as they were in the first book.
There are also characters from another series that are mentioned. I love that she has found a way to inter-connect another series with this one without taking away from either one. If anything, it will make new readers want to read that other series (Kennedy Boys).
I cannot wait to see what Siobhan brings us next.
I have absolutely adored Jackson from the beginning of Rydeville Elite. He is always super funny and relatable, I love that in fictional characters.
In Rydeville Elite #5 you’re going to go on a journey of redemption, finding true love, losing that true love, getting that true love back, forgiveness and overcoming ones inner demons. If you’ve read books 1-4, then you know that Jackson lost his sister to suicide from the terrible things that has happened to her at the hands of the Elite. This book is about getting deserved justice for her.
The love interest is a troubled young woman who has also suffered and has her own demons that she has yet to overcome. Vanessa has known Jackson, Hunt and Kai or Cam as knows him, most of her life. Hers and Hunts parents are friends and they would go to the Hamptons together in the summers. I’m not going to say to much more because it would be spoiling the story so I’ll leave it at that.
Siobhan once again knocked this one out of the water! Jackson may be my favorite in this entire series. Hunt plays a major role in this book and I cannot wait to read his story next! I highly recommend Rydeville Elite, you will not be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complementary copy of this book.
Jackson is everything I wanted for this book and so much more. Siobhan nails it with this much anticipated book! Ever since I read the other Ryderville books, Jackson was an enigma and I had hoped she would give him his own book. My wish was answered, and not only did it meet my expectations but it completely exceeded them.
Jackson and Vanessa have been through hell and back, and as their story unfolds you see just how much they have over come to get the answers they both desperately needed. Needless to say I had a few book hangovers because I just did not want to put this book down. I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.

OMG OMG OMG!! I LOVED JACKSON!!!!! I think he is right now MY FAVE!!!!! I absolutely loved Jackson and Vanessa (Nessa)..
Vanessa Breen has been through so much in her life.. her childhood was horrific.. I felt so bad for her but what she went thru made her a strong and amazing woman..
The devil came to me in disguise. Too bad I didn’t notice until it was far too late.
Jackson Lauder has some serious demons deep down, he wants is to extract revenge on those that have wronged him…. and his sites are set on Vanessa..
This book is so heartbreaking, and emotional.. you may need to grab those tissues.. be prepared to be taken on a amazing and emotional ride.
I have loved Jackson’s character since he was introduced in the first Rydeville Elite books and was so excited for his story. It definitely didn’t disappoint.
Jackson and Vanessa have this combustible chemistry and are so hot together. Jackson is out for revenge and Vanessa is his target. Amidst his games, their emotional connection grows and there are many secrets and lies. This book is a must read! Sexy and amazing story!!
This book was hot and intense! I don’t think I will ever read a book by this author that hasn’t blown my mind. The chemistry is off the charts, you can feel the hate, sadness, anger, and attraction.

Jackson and Vanessa story is a detailed, full book experience. I just turned the last page and am reeling from this story. Be forewarned, this is not for the faint of heart. If violence, sexual assault, and physical abuse are triggers, this might not be the story for you. If dark, angsty, descriptive books are your thing, I am thinking this fits the bill.
It isn’t a quick read either. It is broken up in three parts. Each section takes you deeper and deeper into this dark tale. Vanessa breaks my heart. All I wanted to do is protect her from the horrible childhood she has suffered. The injustice of how she was perceived due to her behavior from the abuse felt so unfair. As all is told, well lets say my momma bear wanted to harm some people. I also wanted to sob for her.
Jackson is a turd. Yes I said it. I wanted to kick his butt on several occasions. I am sure that was the desired initial response this author wanted from her readers. It is clear he has a purpose and what happened to his family broke my heart. His way of going about things though made my blood pressure rise. Having said that by the end of this book his transformation is beautiful. He might (eye roll) have won me over.
Jackson and Vanessa know how to heat up the page. It actually was surprising how hot they were together especially considering everything.
This is definitely a survivor story and has an over the top feel due to ALL the atrocities that have happened. I guess that is why this book is a novel and not an autobiography. Haha
Ok I have possibly said too much but truthfully I have only hit on the surface of all that happens in this story. Eek (insert mind blown emoji here)
Happy Dark Reading Everyone!
Make sure you cancel all your plans before you start Jackson, because you won’t be able to put it down.
Siobhan SLAYED it. Jackson was everything you were hoping for and more.
Jackson and Nessa are absolutely perfect. Equal parts broken, dark and passionate.
Jackson is angsty, gritty and dark, a rollercoaster of epic proportions. A book you don’t want to miss.
**Jackson can be read as a standalone, but is interconnected with the Rydeville High Elite series. For your reading enjoyment I highly suggest you start from the beginning**
