The devil came to me in disguise. Too bad I didn’t notice until it was far too late.
Vanessa:The devil doesn’t always wear an evil mask.Sometimes, he appears in the most beautiful form.Like the super-hot bad boy with the dirty-blond hair and a wicked glint in his blue eyes who swept in out of nowhere, stealing all the air from my lungs.I thought he was my savior. But he’s my ruination. And he’s … thought he was my savior.
But he’s my ruination.
And he’s just taken a machete to my heart.
Jackson:
For years, my rage seethed under the surface. Hidden behind a cloudy haze of my poison of choice.
But now, the fog has cleared.
And I’m out for blood.
I will annihilate those responsible for taking my sister from me.
Except he’s not here, so I go for the next best target.
The woman he abandoned.
Until it suited him to drag her into this messed-up elite world.
Sucks to be her.
Because when I’m done with Vanessa, she’ll wish she was dead.

Jackson will make you love him, hate him and love him all over again , this book gives all the feels. Jam packed from start to finish, be prepared for the biggest book hangover ever. He is totally worth the emotional rollercoaster. I can’t recommend this book enough.
What do I admire the most in Siobhan Davis stories? Heroines. After everything they have endured they stay strong, sassy, fierce, and very protective about people they care about. They support each other, don’t judge, and have men wrapped around their fingers. You just want to be their friends.
Siobhan Davis knows how to push readers at the edge of craziness. I page-turned Jackson so fast because I needed to know what is going to happen. Jackson is a very addictive story filled with unpredictable plot-twists, half-truths, mind games, emotional and scorching hot moments. You know what to expect but silently hope you are wrong. Especially with Jackson’s behavior and Vanessa legacy.
The relationship and explosive chemistry between Jackson and Vanessa were almost too much to handle. But when you know someone is going to end deeply hurt, you want to shout and punch something or someone. And when you discover the brutal truth it may be too late to repair the broken heart.
I love the Rydeville Elite series. Coming back to old and beloved heroes. The author drops mysterious hints here and there making me even more obsessed with her world. I can’t wait to come back for more, because the action is at a culminating point and I am rubbing hands from anticipation.
Oh My Gosh! This book is crazy good. I’m at a loss for words. This book had me in tears. The things Vanessa has survived are terrible and yet she keeps going. Finding reasons to live and start over. The elite are everywhere. No one is safe. Even those who know nothing about them are dragged in . When Vanessa finds out who her real father is things really go down the drain quickly. Jackson becomes the man he should have been all along. Her protector and lover.
Every time I read one of Siobhan’s books my smile is mile long and my heart and soul are fulfilled. She has done it again and produced a phenomenal 5-Star read.
I have eagerly been waiting for Jacksons book and let me just tell you… the wait was SO worth it. I fell in love with Jackson way back when I first met him in Cruel Intentions and didn’t know it would be possible to fall in love with him more after finishing this book.
Jackson had me hating and loving him all at the same time ! He was ruthless but what a wonderful character development he underwent. I loved reading the change from him hating to loving Vanessa so passionately. His protective nature is swoon worthy and had me wishing I could just pocket a mini Jackson for myself.
Vanessa is a kind soul who was so misunderstood. She was put through hell and back and my heart was ripped to shreds reading about her past.
I loved Vanessa and Jackson together. They were the perfect counterparts for each other. I loved their journey (even though at times I wanted to shake Jackson for his cruelness.)
This book was explosive and unputdownable. I know every time I read one of Siobhan’s book I say that it is the best to date and that is true. Siobhan surprises me with every release with her unique and incredibly talented writing that just seems to get better and better and better. I can see her passion for being an author shinning through the pages. Jackson is most definitely a top read for me this year. I loved this story and these characters so much and I am sad that it came to an end so quickly. The Rydeville family have such a special place in my heart.
I don’t think I was prepared for how much I was going to fall in love with Jackson! All through Rydeville series, while I loved his character, I wasn’t FANGIRL level in love lol. After reading his story I am officially IN LOVE! I always loved his personality, but getting his story really made my mind see his personality on another level. His hurt, his love, his dedication. I loved every little bit of him and would gladly continue reading more of him. When it came to Vanessa, he didn’t care about her past. He saw her. He was every pit as possessive as Kai was in Rydeville and there’s nothing quite as exciting as seeing that jealousy and possessiveness come out. Vanessa was just as captivating to read. She struggled with her past mistakes and trying to not only move past them herself, but how to move on when others around her wouldn’t let her forget them. She was also dealing with some pretty deep emotional scars that not only attributed to her previous decisions, but were still currently affecting her. Jackson and Vanessa work through both their emotional wounds together, or rather, on each other. Jackson’s story was such a ride, filled with everything I love about Siobhan’s writing. Deep and impactful character personalty’s and storylines, intensely emotional history, and finished off with some revenge. Absolute 5 star read from Siobhan Davis!
I love reading about this elite family..Jackson was a druggie and I wasnt very fond of his ways in the first few books..but this book brings out a new angle to him and i enjoyed reading Nessa and his love..Nessa is strong and too good..She and abby make great partners for kai and jackson..cant wait to read the next books!!
I CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF THIS SERIES!!
I have voluntarily received an advanced complimentary copy of this book. This is my review. Jackson has gone from a weed smokin, alcohol guzzling, manwho*e to someone who any woman would be proud to take home to meet the parents. Shocker right? Well, get ready to see a completely different side of him. Vanessa is trying to turn her life around from the popular party girl to a strong, independent, responsible woman but she is hiding some horrible terrifying secrets and hopes to keep them that way but some secrets can never stay buried. Jackson is trying to heal from the loss of his sister Dani. Jackson and Sawyer are trying to find Christopher Montgomery after he escaped the arrests of the Elite. Vanessa and Jackson run into each other again after months and there’s a definite attraction. Jackson and Sawyer uncover a big secret which leads to more secrets and there are shocking revelations around every corner. Things between Nessa and Jackson begin to heat up but he stays very guarded and fights his feelings. At times things get so intense it sent chills up my spine. Just when Nessa starts to find true happiness she gets kicked down again and it left me both crying for her and wanting kick someones @ss. Lol. New threats come out of the woodwork and it gets absolutely crazy and scary as h*ll. This book is very dark, romantic, sexy, exciting, intense and Xavier is his usual hilarious self. Siobhan’s writing makes you feel it all. I loved every minute of this book. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE!
Wow just Wow, Siobhan has done it again; she has created a deliciously angsty dark read that will leave you breathless. Jackson is not at all what I expected, he was so much more. I couldn’t put this book down once I started, reading well into the night, but all those lost hours of sleep were worth this EPIC ride. Hold on because what you think you know you don’t!
, .
I was wondering what kind of girl was going to be able to wrangle Jackson and Vanessa was not what I was expecting, but exactly what he needed. Vanessa is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. This girl has been to Hell and back and she doesn’t break. Is she broken yes, but she doesn’t break and there most definitely is a difference. She has the kindest heart and tries so hard; her journey was not an easy one and it literally shattered my heart and soul on multiple occasions. But it just proves how strong she really is. I love this girl she is forever in my heart and one of my favorites.
. . , .
I’ve loved Jackson since book 1 Day 1. This boy is all the things and more. His sense of humor always had my laughing and I wanted so badly for him to find his person that was going to help heal this broken boy. Jackson’s loyalty knows no bounds and it’s that loyalty that is his driving force. I wanted to punch him on multiple occasions for being a complete idiot, but I loved him just the same. Jackson is no where near perfect, but it’s his many imperfections that have made him one of my favorites.
. .
Jackson and Nessa’s path is not an easy one, it’s hard to read at times and will have your emotions all over the place, but it’s theirs. Siobhan pulls no punches with this letting you see all the dark and depraved things until your heart aches for them. The twists and turns as well as all the revelations will have your head spinning in the best way.
Siobhan has created such an addictive series that once you start you won’t be able to stop. I’ve loved them all since the beginning and I will continue to do so. These characters are perfection each in their own way. Siobhan has Slayed every story in the Series and Jackson is no different. If you love your stories gritty and raw to the point your soul feels like it’s going to shatter, then this book is for you.
Damn, this book was was a fantastic ride back in the Rydeville world!!
Jackson is looking to revenge what has happened to his sister Dani. He thinks Vanessa is one key to help him, and starts to get close to her to get information out of her.
Vanessa, didn’t have it easy in her life, not at all, but she’s a tough girl and getting on with her life. Soaking up Jackson’s attention, until one day her heart gets shredded.
As always, Siobhan’s books have me hooked! They are exciting, thrilling, with ups and downs, twists and turns you don’t see coming!!!
I loved Vanessa’s strength, how she held her head up high, and conquered everything thrown at her!!! Jackson, the troubled one, finally found a partner he could lean on, confide in. These two are a perfect match for each other.
Seeing a lot of the Rydeville family in this book, and not only them!, I can’t wait to read more of this group!
Wow. Just wow! This might be my favorite book in this series to date. I loved Jackson from the get-go, so I was stoked hearing that he was getting his own book.
After reading this, it’s plain to see that we only got Jackson at the surface level in the previous books. This book takes you deep down into the heart of who Jackson is. And he is EVERYTHING!!! Was I mad at him during this book? Heck yes, I was. He was a royal jerk. But I still loved him and he totally made up for it in the end.
Vanessa, poor, sweet Vanessa. This girl has been through some stuff. And she managed to hold her head up high despite it all. She’s strength personified. I adore her.
The pair of them together is perfection. Their chemistry burns so hot. *fans self*
There were so many twists and turns and it made for one crazy ride. I loved seeing some old favorites again. I totally want to be part of this crew.
Siobhan hit this one out of the park! Amazing and you absolutely must read it. It can be read as an standalone, but I would highly suggest read the others in this series, because all the books are amazing!
Siobhan Davis is the queen of Raw, emotional stories and Jackson and Vanessas story is no different!! It’s one of my top reads of 2020
Things get dark in this instalment of the Rydeville Elite series as Jackson and Vanessa face their demons head on.
A captivating read that will have you feverishly turning the pages and not wanting to put it down.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I voluntarily read this book for the author for review purposes. Jackson was great. So glad Montgomery got what was coming to him. He was a disgusting jerk. It was great to see Jackson grow into a man and not a drugged up jerk. Loved this book and how all the characters make appearances. That little tease about Sawyer at the end made me want that book now. I’ve always been a fan of his and can’t wait until his book comes out. Highly recommend this series to everyone it won’t disappoint.
I really enjoyed this book. It wasn’t as dark as the Rydeville trilogy but it definitely had spots that were like If you read the trilogy and had some questions left you’ll get some more answers!!!
I really liked Jackson in the Ryderville trilogy. I liked watching he grow more in this story. Though he had a couple moments I wanted to slap him.
Vanessa is a fighter. She’s strong. She was dealt a crappy hand. She may have fallen but she got right back up and fought harder to have the life she wanted. I loved watching her grow and overcome the obstacles life threw are her.
I loved seeing Abby, Kai, Sawyer, Drew and Shandra. I’m so happy that Sawyer is getting a book next!! I just wish we didn’t have to wait until 2021. It seems so far away.
Holy s*** what did I just read. Siobhan has yet to disappoint me with her mastermind and writing skills!! This book….. wow I’m really lost for words it was that good!! Jackson deserves way more then 5 stars that’s how good it is!!! The twist and turns are so unexpected it will suck you in right in. I couldn’t put this book down until the end and I wasn’t disappointed with the ending Siobhan nailed it. Jackson and Vanessa’s story is one you don’t want to miss it will grab you by the heart and squeeze and will stay with you for a long time to come. I love that we get to see some of they old characters from the previous books but that this is it’s own story also. If you haven’t read this yet you definitely need to asap.
This book is one of my favorites from The Rydeville Elite series!
I absolutely loved Jackson’s story. I was happy for him to finally get his own story. He dealt with so much and harbored so much pain and anger that when he finally found someone good for him I was ecstatic!
I loved Vanessa and felt so many emotions for her and what she endured. She was truly amazing in how she made an effort and was successful at taking her life into her own hands. I really admired her and was rooting for her throughout the story!
In Time of Crisis!!!
This was an unforgettable read: One that made me forget the pain of the world around me.
Jackson Lauder has much darkness from the past and people that have wrong him.
Vanessa Breen is a strong young woman to have gone through so much at a young age, but she is hiding secrets that will keep others from getting hurt.
The connection between Jackson and Vanessa is heart-wrenching, but I amazed by their courage to overcome the abuse of the past.
You don’t want to miss a minute of this series
Ms Siobhan is one amazing author. Jackson left me speechless!!!!
voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
My Rating: ****1/4
Type: Can be read as standalone. Suggest to read interconnected books for better understanding
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Narration: Dual POV
Primary Characters: Jackson & Venessa (Nessa)
Source: ARC – Courtesy or Author/publisher
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for honest review.
I have become a great fan of this Author after reading few of her series. I have been excited to know about Jackson’s story and to go back to Rydeville and meet those several amazing characters again.
Jackson has been driven by revenge now. He wants to settle score with the person who was responsible for his sister Dani’s death. Even though he is driven, he is still the same playful, cocky and arrogant. Jackson thinks key to allure and hurt is enemy is through Venessa. Nessa is sweet hot mess who has bundles of problem and she has made up her mind and is cleaning up her mess. She has been sober and independent for a year now and finding other ways to deal with her problems.
We see how Jackson tries to Woo Nessa in the first half. His plans get messed up when emotions got involved. Step by step they are exposed to more monsters and more members of old elite team. I loved the twist and turns in the second part. Venessa stood strong in her own way. Things turn crazy and complicated very fast and bad yet they struggle to come out unharmed. Loved the support of entire team.
Secondary Characters – Totally loved seeing entire crew. We get more details on Sawyer in this. Looovvvveed Xavier, he just stole the show. Drew and Sandra took a different intriguing turn. Loved seeing Diesel & Bryant here, didn’t expect that. Loved how she linked Selena, Keanu and Kennedy brothers. Kayleigh was sweet. Abby and Kai delightful as ever. This entire plot became alive, lovely only because of all these secondary charters. Each have unique quality and play their own vital part in the plot.
What I didn’t like personally— The character development in the first half between Jackson and Nessa wasn’t as per my expectation. I didn’t understand the connection though it felt good in second half. When you are forced to stay together and play nice, what made act feel real plays a vital role, that wasn’t highlighted well (IMO—may not be same for all). I felt like this because I had too high expectations from Siobhan and she actually spoiled all heroin’s for me through Harlow. Plot moved super-fast for me in part 2.
In the end liked to see the charming flirty playboy on his knees. If you loved the dark world of Rydeville then this is definitely for you. You will love these knots the tangled web of Rydeville.

After taking a brief respite from all the drama with Charlie’s book, I was ready to jump right back in and Siobhan Davis doesn’t disappoint. Book 5 had me unable to stop reading and carried me away into the crazy and dark new world this author has created. We learn more about what torments Jackson after getting brief clues in the previous books and things start to make sense. Vanessa is the last person he wants to fall for, but our heart doesn’t always listen, and whilst Jackson treats her like cr@p, he redeems himself and I fell in love with him even more. This 5 star read delivers everything I’ve come to expect and hope from this series and I can’t wait for it to continue!

Well my day went to the pits real fast! The second I started Jackson I should’ve known I wouldn’t get a single thing done because I didn’t! From the first word to the last I was consumed!
Vanessa and Jackson’s story is one that will test you, try you and at its best; CHANGE YOU ENTIRELY! I cried, I laughed and may have thrown my phone but I always came back to their story because you just can’t get enough of this group! I loved seeing the crew again because even at their worst they are always the best! My gosh though Jackson when he’s wounded can take being spiteful to a whole other level but even then you could feel the pain he carried! He had a weight on his shoulders and it was beautiful to see him finally find someone to share that with! Jackson and Vanessa balanced one another out beautifully and I loved to see them grow not only individually but even as a couple! My mind is reeling though and sawyers book is one I can’t wait to read because again you just can’t ever get enough of this group!
