Ruth “Ruthless” Harper is on the verge of becoming managing partner at her all-male consulting firm and she won’t let anything stand in her way. That includes men, relationships, and that dreaded F word, FEELINGS—distractions she eliminated long ago.
After the worst day ever (a near-death experience and a public wedgie, for starters), Ruth realizes she doesn’t want to live and die alone. She puts together a business plan to find the perfect man and dives head first into the murky online dating pool. All she wants is a high-powered executive who understands how important her career is. If only it were that easy.
Problem is most men are intimidated by Ruth’s confidence and shocked by her bluntness. The exception being her landscape designer, Nick, whose cool demeanor and unsolicited dating advice are driving her nuts. He’s the antithesis of the business-oriented man Ruth envisions for herself, so why do all signs keep pointing back to him?
A romantic comedy novel for the ages. Order now. Don’t delay. Operators are standing by.

Someone once pointed put that I mainly read female authors, true and not intentional, but when I found Rich Amooi and read my first book of his, I fell in love with his crazy sense of humor and the way he describes things so that you get a vivid picture immediately.
Oh, I love this guy and what a story!
Wedgies during a gym class, dates that go horribly wrong, dancing to ABBA (they just happen to be one of my favorites), a dog that digs up the rose garden, a bunch of suits that need a bomb put under their you-know-whats. Great characters. A laugh a minute!
And of course I just love that Rich writes ‘lively’ love stories with so much passion and insight.
Thanks for making my day. I loved every second of this book and really look forward to the next one.
I read an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of the ebook and this is my voluntary and unbiased review.
Pretty predictable but easy to read in free short bursts of time.
I liked that both characters were supposed to have brains, and that she was supposed to be a successful women (which in general they are not). The book had a great plot and I was waiting for a hilarious book. Nevertheless the book. Nevertheless the book was soooo boring, the girls was insufferable. I could not read more than 30% and when I was was wondering WHF with Nick I realized that I did not want to continue reading. It was plain boring. I am sorry for the Author (this was my first book), but really I could not finish!
This was my first read by this author, I enjoyed the story, it had humor and romance, but my only critic is too many references to the male organ.
