GwenLately, life definitely isn’t how I envisioned it. I had it all. The house, the job, the husband. Until one day, I didn’t. I don’t know when exactly things started to change between us, only that it did, and in a big way. So much so, I found myself standing before a judge and signing off on the end of my marriage. To the only man I’ve ever loved. Now, he’s back, fighting, and ready to prove … and ready to prove to me that we made a mistake, that our love is worth giving this another chance. I’m not sure if he’s right, but I know what my heart wants, and it wants him. My ex-husband.
Harrison
Why is it that you don’t know the depths of your mistakes until you’ve already made them? I knew signing those papers was a bad idea, but I thought that’s what she wanted. The minute we stepped foot out of that courtroom, it hit me. She’s no longer mine.
That’s when I also realized that I would do anything to change the past. I have so many regrets. Not her. I could never regret her, but how we ended. We never should have ended. I’m in for the battle of my life to convince her to give us another shot. I have a plan, one that will prove to her that it’s not over.

I’m a long-time reader of Lacey Black’s, but this was my first time reading Kaylee Ryan. This is also their first collaboration, and I hope it won’t be their last. Their styles worked together well, coming together smoothly and transitioning seamlessly. I love Lacey’s writing, and for me, her small town romances are the first that come to my mind when I want to get lost in the love stories of a big family in small town USA. But through this book, I’ve now discovered Kaylee Ryan, and I’m very much looking forward to diving into some more of her work.
It’s Not Over, a second-chance, surprise baby romance between the recently divorced Gwen and Harrison, had a bittersweet air to it, and I found myself wanting to shake some sense into these two because it was so obvious that they belonged together. It didn’t take long for them to find their way back, and I was cheering them on the whole way.
Harrison definitely learned his lesson the first time around, and he was all-in, pulling out all the stops to win back the woman he loved. Gwen was a bit more cautious, but Harrison’s swoon-worthy efforts paid off, and she came around. Their chemistry was still hot, despite their years together and their time apart, but it was watching this couple work through the hurt and the history to heal their relationship that really got my heart-hammering.
I devoured It’s Not Over in a day. Gwen and Harrison’s love story made my heart so happy and kept a smile on my face the whole way through. I enjoyed every minute of this charming, engaging and steamy romance, and I can’t wait to for the next collaboration between these two authors. Five smooches from me for It’s Not Over by Lacey Black and Kaylee Ryan!

This story I was rooting for Gwen and Harrison from the very beginning. I loved how he still loved her and fought for their love. I loved their story and how I learned if there is love then there is a reason to fight for it. Loved this book, characters, author and series.
It’s Not Over tells the second-chance love-story of a newly divorced couple who find out they’re expecting. Harrison Drake didn’t contest the divorce because he thought he was giving his wife what she wanted. Winnie just wanted him to fight for her. These two never stopped loving one another during their separation and this baby is just what they needed to bring them back to where they both wanted to be.
This book had me smiling the whole way through. It’s so romantic, sweet, and funny. Good luck reading this one without grinning.
This my first read by Kaylee Ryan & Lacey Black and I really don’t know why I waited so long! It’s Not Over is the first book in the Fair Lakes series, is a second chance romance and you can read as a standalone.
I absolutely loved the story of Gwen and Harrison. You can feel from the beginning how strong their connection is even though they are getting divorced and it’s wonderful to see how they find their way back to each other. It’s an emotional rollercoaster and i loved every second of it!
This book deserves all the stars and then a few more. I absolutely devoured it. I couldn’t get enough of these characters and their story. I was so disappointed when it ended. The storyline itself was incredible and so captivating I wanted to move to Fair Lakes with them. Absolutely incredible story.
I am a huge fan of both of these authors and for them to collaborate is like a dream come true! Their writing style is quite similar, I honestly couldn’t guess who wrote which part.
This story begins with the end, and then continues with the real life struggles we all face in our relationships and friendships. There is no exaggeration, or fantasy feelings, it’s just real.
Winnie is a strong, independent woman, who is just barely adjusting to life alone before everything changes. Harrison is a typical alpha, who got a bit lost for a while.
Can they sort it out? Or will they stay apart?
It is truly a beautiful journey and I’m so honoured to have received an advanced copy of this. I look forward to reading more of what these two authors can come up with!
I love a good second chance romance but this is a little different because instead of coming back together after years apart, you have a recently divorced couple who let life get in the way but very much still love each other. So much so that one night together results in a surprise Gwen has been waiting for.
Harrison knows he messed up and is determined to get his wife back and be the family he knows they can be.
I loved this spin on a second chance romance. I love how hard Harrison worked to get Gwen back and that she made him work for it despite how much she still loved him. Lots of drama in the form of other woman try to get in the way but in the end their story is definitely not over.
Side note I am crazy about Chase and Gabby, they need to happen so bad.
Great writing by these two authors. The story flowed very well which isn’t always the case with two people writing. A different take on second chance romance. I enjoyed this story, was hooked from the page one and still want more. I look forward to reading book two in this series. I loved Winnie, she is a smart and strong character. Harrison was great as well. He was giving his wife the space she claimed she wanted and later signed divorce papers but neither of them really wanted. I hated Gina and wanted her to get what she deserved.
It’s been a good minute that I’ve read something for fun. I chose It’s Not Over because I’ve loved Kaylee’s Unexpected Series. It Not Over just enraptures you from the beginning! I could not put it down! Kaylee and Lacey blended their writing seamlessly! Winnie and Harrison were amazing! Truly their characters and love story I’ll treasure. The plot, characters and feelings were all there perfectly! Can’t wait to read Gabby and Chase’s story next!
The day you sign your divorce papers should be a day to start over and begin living a new chapter in your life. Fortunately for Gwen and Harrison, this day also started the journey that brings them right back together again. Not only was this a heart warming story about never giving up on what you truly desire but it was also filled with moments that made me laugh out loud and others where I was wiping tears from my cheeks. Winnie and Harrison might have had obstacles to overcome but true love found it’s way back into their hearts. With beautifully written characters this book should not be missed.
It’s Not Over by Kaylee Ryan is book One in the Fair Lakes Series. This is the story of Harrison and Gwen/Winnie. This book starts with the ending of their marriage. We learn that they both are still in love with the other but work, time and thinking this is what the other wanted took them to this point. Gwen and Harrison were College Sweethearts and fell in love almost immediately. They had a good marriage until Harrison started working long hours and forgetting things like her birthday. Gwen found herself lost in the situation, there was no cheating. This book shows us how they tried to find themselves again. Good Read.
I read this as I’m going to be reading the next book. The cover certainly grabbed my attention as did the blurb. I love OTT alphas, but only when they have a heart of gold hidden by that tough outer coating. Harrison ticked all those boxes. He knew he’d made a mistake divorcing Winnie and when their one last time together brought about new life he was more than determined to win her back.
He’s got an uphill struggle ahead of him. But, he’s got love on his side.
There are some stories that begin with an ending but in reality it is just a pause in time. Harrison and Winnie’s story was of love losing its way, of priorities being confused and ultimately realizing that sometimes we need to start over. These two characters radiated forever love even when they were apart. A story that shows us sometimes the ending is really just a new beginning. Their story stole my heart and filled me with hope, anticipation and desire. As Harrison fights for the only person that will ever own his heart, unexpected surprises and drama will ensure that these two become one in their fight for forever again. A beautiful and endearing love story that is emotional, witty and overflowing with passion and understanding.
This is the first time I’ve read a book by these author’s and this is book 1 in the series. Fair Lakes Series. The cover is awesome too I really like it.
This story is about two people that have lost there way somehow.
Harrison still loves his wife but he thinks going along with this plan to divorce each other is what she wants, he’d do anything for her. He realises he took her for granted but is it to late?
Gwen is thinking about her life and realised she wants more than to play second fiddle to a man married to his work. Her birthday is coming up and she knows she wants change.
Harrison and Gwen love each other but seem to think that the only way to fix there marriage is divorce. They think it’s for the best, but was it? Fate steps in.
On the day of signing the papers they want to be with each other sexually one last time, only life doesn’t work that way. Boom. We’re pregnant. Harrison’s love for Gwen is pure and he really steps up to the plate. They go through alot together.
This story goes through the trials and tribulations of being pregnant and a couple still in love, and they also go through alot of emotional times but the love is still there. There is some twists too.
I loved the characters in this book especially Harrison. I loved how protective, caring and loving he is with Gwen and he supports her thoroughly. He is a complete gem.
I absolutely loved reading this book and following the story and seeing where everything progressed to.
This book is told from different points of view which I always like.
I really liked these authors writing style and how they made you visualise things beautifully. They written these characters awesomely.
I can’t wait to read more from these authors in the future and I can’t believe this is my first time reading them.
Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read a copy of this book.
ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
This book is out now and I will be highly recommend this book to everyone.
It’s Not Over is a second chance romance. The story of Harrison and Winnie. I’ll be honest, I have a hard time reading second chance romance, but if more of them were like this I would be all over it. Harrison and Winnie are completely in love, but sometimes love is not enough. Signing the divorce papers, they are having regrets. Winnie trying to move on and Harrison trying to get her back
This story was a true love story. The hurdles of marriage and relationships in general. The thing I like the most, they were completely in love, but things were set into motion for it to all crumble down. You see both of them looking back into their past, to see where it all went wrong. Harrison is a great guy, that had to learn from his mistakes. He strived to make things better. He is the perfect example of doing everything for the love of his life, until his last breath. Winnie was a sweet character, but built up a lot of walls and was hesitant of the changes Harrison was making. It was a realistic portrayal of a woman coming back from heartbreak. I connected with both characters on a human level. The supporting characters has me intrigued and I can’t wait to read their stories. This is a book I highly recommend, it’s a great read for people that love their stories sweet, with great steamy scenes, and realistic struggles, that you can connect with.
It’s Not Over is the first collaboration between Kaylee Ryan and Lacey Black, two authors that I have read many books by previously. And they have done that very successfully.
Harrison and Winnie (Gwen) have been married for a few years, but their marriage had become stagnant, and they end up divorced. Not for a lack of love, but because priorities have been skewed. It’s Not Over follows these two as they try to navigate a reunion- Harrison not ready to completely sever their relationship, and Winnie trying to regain trust in them.
One of the things that I loved the most about this book is that it isn’t about two people falling in love for the first time with each other, but rather trying to rekindle love, and overcome problems that they had in the marriage. I loved watching them work to save what they had.
I hope this isn’t the only collaboration between these two authors. I really enjoyed It’s Not Over, and would love to read more from them!
Wow what a well written and amazing second chance read. Two people who get it wrong the 1st time to make it right the second time. I really enjoyed reading this story !!!
I think these two authors mixed their talent of writing together perfectly.
This is a love story like no other but most of all it’s about second chances. Winnie and Harrison had lost their way in their marriage but signing a piece a paper didnt stop their love. Harrison was determined to show the love of his life he was ready to reclaim his wife no matter what. Nothing worth having is easy to come by but these two are ready so show Love can win above all else. Such a beautiful and touching story.
Loved this book from Kaylee & Lacey. It was definitely original compared to most story lines out there. The hero nor heroine didn’t cheat on the other to cause the divorce. Harrison is definitely “swoon” worthy and then add the chemistry between Chase & Gabby it was a full story! Such a good read that I recommend!

Surprisingly beautiful to read. A second chance romance that’s emotional and pure.
It’s Not Over follows a couple that truly loves each other but life unexpectedly separates them. When the ink is dry on their divorce papers, reality sets in and both the hero and /heroine are deeply saddened that their journey has ended. However, that doesn’t stop them from one last fling that completely turns the tables for them both, hopefully bringing them back together. But will the past dictate their future?
“I don’t think my heart could go through another breakup, Harrison.”
Kaylee Ryan and Lacey Black truly know how to grip your heart in a romance that can speak so close to home. Their writing is on par to reality and I truly believe that is why this story was so captivating. Yes, this was a wonderful romance to be swooped up in, but on another level, it will resonate with so many couples to this day.
