GwenLately, life definitely isn’t how I envisioned it. I had it all. The house, the job, the husband. Until one day, I didn’t. I don’t know when exactly things started to change between us, only that it did, and in a big way. So much so, I found myself standing before a judge and signing off on the end of my marriage. To the only man I’ve ever loved. Now, he’s back, fighting, and ready to prove … and ready to prove to me that we made a mistake, that our love is worth giving this another chance. I’m not sure if he’s right, but I know what my heart wants, and it wants him. My ex-husband.
Harrison
Why is it that you don’t know the depths of your mistakes until you’ve already made them? I knew signing those papers was a bad idea, but I thought that’s what she wanted. The minute we stepped foot out of that courtroom, it hit me. She’s no longer mine.
That’s when I also realized that I would do anything to change the past. I have so many regrets. Not her. I could never regret her, but how we ended. We never should have ended. I’m in for the battle of my life to convince her to give us another shot. I have a plan, one that will prove to her that it’s not over.

If anyone would have asked me six months ago what two authors would I want to co-write a book I would have to think about it. The answer is easy, Lacey Black and Kaylee Ryan and let me tell you they didn’t disappoint! I loved Gwen and Harrison’s story. You saw the true love these two had for each other even after going through a hard time. There was minimal angst which I loved! I think these two had enough heartbreak that there didn’t need to be more in there road back to each other. I cannot was air to see what these wonderful ladies have in store for us next!
I really liked this book and honestly couldn’t tell that it was written by two different authors! I love anything Lacey Black and have read and loved quite a bit of Kaylee’s books so I was excited to know that they were collaborating!
Ok the book: The character development in this novel was really great! Harrison was my favorite and I enjoyed his point of view more than I liked Winnie’s. I felt that Winnie could have used a little bit more depth but overall they were both great characters! The love story was cute and the conflict was minimal and resolved in a mature way…that being said the main conflict at the end I felt the connection between Gina and the conflict was reaching a little and wasn’t an actual or real conflict that added to the story.

What I did not like about this story was the divorce. Both Winnie and Harrison talk about the fact that they love each other and didn’t want to divorce and that they both didn’t want to move on or sign the papers but they thought that it was what the other wanted, and they loved eachother so much they were willing to go through that for eachother.
Here is what I don’t get. They talk about going to Marriage counseling and saying that it didn’t help them or work…Marriage counseling (from what I understand) would have at one point or another talked about the communication between the two of them and asked what they other would have wanted. I felt that going to marriage counseling, divorcing, and then getting back together because after the divorce they found a better way to communicate was ridiculous. Also, the rest of the story after they got back together they miraculously had better communication.
I know this is a small detail but it was something that bugged me throughout the entire book which is why this book only has 4 stars. I am excited to see the next book and seriously hope it is about the god parents!
I recommend this book to all readers that like a fun, sexy, quick romance read!
Two talented and imaginative writers have come together in a way that will blow you away. We have Harrison and Gwen who by all counts are forever tied together but somewhere they got lost. I loved how these two made them see what is really important and just wow. Love and passion never was the problem and boy do these two know how to make a reader blush easily with these two. I for one hope we see more of Chase and Gabby definitely something going on there. Loved it.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Wow! This book was such a different take on romance but I was totally all for it! Harrison and Gwen met in college and followed the typical path of getting married and starting their careers, but throughout all that, things got a little lost by the wayside and forgotten and they somewhat drifted apart. With Gwen thinking that the solution was a divorce and Harrison just going along thinking it is a phase, after signing the papers they have one last night of passion. Turns out that passion ignited the fight for their relationship. The emotion within these pages between the devastation of Harrison losing Gwen, to the fight in him while he fights for not only her but their marriage really makes this book what it is. The plot of this book is what hooks you, but the writing is what keeps you reading. Overall I really enjoyed the merging of these two authors, and hopefully there will be more within this book world from these two (aka Chase and Gabby)!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
It’s Not Over is a wonderful, heartfelt second chance love story. I have read these two authors separately, and I enjoyed their stories/characters. So I was excited when I heard they were doing this joint collaboration. I thought the story was easy to follow, full of emotion, and it flowed effortlessly. I read it all in a afternoon. The characters Harrison and Winnie were so real and likeable. As we all know love and marriage isn’t always easy, you have to work hard for it, and Harrison was going to fight with his all to win his Winnie back. I liked the secondary characters too, and I’m hoping we’ll be getting their stories as well. If you like second chance/surprise baby/romance story then this book is for you!
Once again an amazing love story. Even tho this is a collaborative effort from these two wonderful authors it’s absolutely seamless. I cannot tell where one writes and the other takes over. It’s so well written. That said it broke my heart to see these two hurt. I was routing for them so much. You could feel their pain when they divorced. Once we got past that tho things started to look up, Altho not without a few hiccups on the way. Without spoiling the storyline I will say I loved the supporting cast here. I can’t wait for the next book from these two amazing authors now. Great book.
This was a really sweet story about a couple, Harrison and Winnie, who ran into some marital troubles and get a divorce. Before the judge even finalized the divorce Harrison realizes that he made a mistake in not fighting harder for their relationship. Neither wants to be apart, but they also aren’t sure what steps need to be made to heal from the hurts they unintentionally inflicted on each other.
Generally, I am not a fan of second chance romance stories, but this was a really sweet one. This couple truly feels like they belong together.
really liked it
I have been a huge fan of Kaylee Ryan’s so the fact this book was great isn’t a surprise/ Lacey Black is a new to me Author,
There are so many ways to tell you how I felt about this story. Harrison is a man I could love with out any doubt. He loves Winnie with everything he has.Did he make mistakes, YES he did because he’s not perfect. But he loves her. And Winnie loves his just as much…
They almost let go of each, BUT fate comes in and she couldn’t appear in a better form
