A New York Times Bestseller Gareth St. Clair believes the key to his future lies locked in his sole bequest: an old family diary written entirely in Italian. Hyacinth Bridgerton is fiendishly smart, devilishly outspoken, and according to Gareth, probably best taken in small doses. But she does read Italian . . .
Aaaahhh, Julia Quinn! I read this book ages ago and then did a re-read this year. The characters in this book are so much fun. Love the banter between the hero and heroine. Historical romance with humorous situations and characters always hits the spot when I need a pick-me-up from every day life.
This was a delightful story with a charming, unusual heroine. She was too smart for her own good, fearless, and enchanting. I love how the hero was smart enough to keep up with her and how he humored her when she went off on tangents, but mostly I loved how he connived to compromise her so she wouldn’t be able to break their engagement if certain …
Gareth St. Clair is one of the best steamy love interests. Violet’s insight into her children is so spot on.
Hyacinth is one of a kind. Extremely smart plays by her own rules and doesn’t hold back. Ever. Every week she read with Lady Danbury, voluntarily, and likes it. 🙂 At the annual Smythe-Smith concert, she meets Gareth, lady Danbury’s nephew.
Gareth didn’t have the easiest time growing up. His father is plain awful. The horror that he bestowed on …
Now, I truly didn’t expect much from the last two books, because Hyacinth and Gregory, as the babies of the family, weren’t major characters in the earlier novels and to me, I expected a division, to feel that they sort of stood separately from the more cohesive earlier section of the series. However, by immediately incorporating familiar faces …
I had a couple of doubts going into this one. I was wondering if I was burnt out from all things Bridgerton and also if I could connect with Hyacinth, whom we really haven’t had much on in the previous books and along with the TV series where she is still quite young. I am happy to say, I did enjoy this book more than I thought I was going to. …
I’m a bit in shock that I’m already to Hyacinth in this series. These books are so captivating and engaging that I’m finding myself flying right through the series. I didn’t have any preconceived notions of what Hyacinth’s story would be like, and I think that made the reading of it even more enjoyable.
I found Garreth’s back story to be so …
The Bridgerton books continue to deliver! I love this one so much and this one delivers some of the best banter in the series! Hyacinth is fantastic! She is so witty and smart and opinionated and she never backs down from a challenge. And I adored Gareth! So charming and witty! And while everyone else seems to think Hyacinth is “too much”, he …
I was so excited to get to Hyacinth’s story and I was not disappointed. Garett was everything I wanted him to be for her. She is such a feisty character. I love the whole story with the journal. It was such a fun story.
Book 79 towards my goal of 285! 5/5 stars for this Regency Romance read! It was fun getting to learn more about Hyacinth, since she’s so young in the other books! She’s feisty! I really enjoyed her story! Yall I don’t want this series to eeennnnnnnd!
Hyacinth is brilliant and daring. Her story is so fun and entertaining. It’s one I’ve reread so many times since I bought it in paperback when it was first released. Love it!
It’s in his Kiss is so much different than I expected. When I first read the synopsis I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read this book – it just didn’t intrigue me that much. But damn did I not regret picking up It’s in his Kiss. This book is so well written and so beautiful. I loved Hyacinth and Gareth. Both such unique, outspoken and funny …
Awwies
Hyacinth and Gareth’s Quest for the Hidden Jewels. That’s such a fitting title imo.
I really enjoyed this story. Lady Danbury was at it again. How could she not be when Hyacinth read to her every Tuesday and Gareth was her grandson? Oh that sneaky sneak!
This is book 7 of the Bridgerton series.
Hyacinth Bridgeston I’d the youngest in the family of 8 she never got to know who her father was but was already surrounded by her family who loved her. She has been in the marriage mart for a couple years and although she has had offers none have been good fit. She is beautiful smart and very outspoken. …
3.5 Stars
While this was a bit better than the previous book. I guess I’m really missing all the interactions with the Featheringtons and the other Bridgerton siblings. I did like the bit of mystery in this story as well. I just didn’t see too much connection between Hyacinth and Gareth as much as I was hoping for. At least Lady Danbury got some …
Since his late brother’s tragic death, Gareth St. Clair has become the heir to his father’s barony. Even worse, his father hates him and is determined to leave him with nothing but debts. But Gareth did receive his grandmother’s diary from his late brother and there’s the slightest chance of it containing helpful information. However, the diary …
Bridgerton’s never fail to be entertaining!
