“A landmark in American literature” (Chicago Sun-Times)—Stephen King’s #1 national bestseller about seven adults who return to their hometown to confront a nightmare they had first stumbled on as teenagers…an evil without a name: It. Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when …
They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made twenty-eight years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children. Now, children are being murdered again and their repressed memories of that terrifying summer return as they prepare to once again battle the monster lurking in Derry’s sewers.
Readers of Stephen King know that Derry, Maine, is a place with a deep, dark hold on the author. It reappears in many of his books, including Bag of Bones, Hearts in Atlantis, and 11/22/63. But it all starts with It.
“Stephen King’s most mature work” (St. Petersburg Times), “It will overwhelm you… to be read in a well-lit room only” (Los Angeles Times).

I honesty love this book and All of his book’s he is the absolutely the best horror Author ever!!
I so love this book. It was not a book I ever expected to read. When I was a kid I saw the TV version of the movie which always intrigued me. Then, when the new movie came out and I was going to watch it I had to read the book to know the whole story before seeing the movie. It became a birthday gift a year before the movie and I was drawn in and hooked I love the characters and how Stephen King shows the connection of them all together and how they connected with one another to accomplish a mighty end goal.
I can say this is one of my all time favorites for sure.
I don’t like clowns! Scary book!
I feel this is one of Stephen King’s best novels. Very scary at times and hard to put down. A must for any King fan.
S tier. One of my favorite books of all time. Character development was phenomenal. Not a character I disliked, including the evil antagonists. Many terrifying and frightening scenes.

There are so many words I could use to describe this book but none of them touch my heart except READ THIS BOOK that’ about it
@Stephen_King
It’s ok not the best but it’s not exactly what I was looking for
It is unpredictable and full of twist. You will be holding your breath and questioning everything. And you will find the book is hard to put down once you start
Scared me and broke my heart.
Loved the suspense until the end. King sometimes disappoints at endings.
