“A landmark in American literature” (Chicago Sun-Times)—Stephen King’s #1 national bestseller about seven adults who return to their hometown to confront a nightmare they had first stumbled on as teenagers…an evil without a name: It. Welcome to Derry, Maine. It’s a small city, a place as hauntingly familiar as your own hometown. Only in Derry the haunting is real. They were seven teenagers when …
They were seven teenagers when they first stumbled upon the horror. Now they are grown-up men and women who have gone out into the big world to gain success and happiness. But the promise they made twenty-eight years ago calls them reunite in the same place where, as teenagers, they battled an evil creature that preyed on the city’s children. Now, children are being murdered again and their repressed memories of that terrifying summer return as they prepare to once again battle the monster lurking in Derry’s sewers.
Readers of Stephen King know that Derry, Maine, is a place with a deep, dark hold on the author. It reappears in many of his books, including Bag of Bones, Hearts in Atlantis, and 11/22/63. But it all starts with It.
“Stephen King’s most mature work” (St. Petersburg Times), “It will overwhelm you… to be read in a well-lit room only” (Los Angeles Times).

Stephen King is always a great read! Just have to be in the right mood lol
It, The Talisman and The Stand are my personal triumvirate of all-time favorite novels, not just Stephen King novels.
One of my favorite horror stories growing up. I think this is one of King’s best novels.
One of his scarist!
Good from start to finish. So very recommended.
Wile I didn’t think it was one of King’s best early works, it is well written and certainly worth reading.
A scary book for sure
Pretty sweet
it was better than the movie
This book was really good. I personally did not find it that scary. I read this book during the summer between 6th and 7th grade, certainly kept me busy. Very long book. At some point it felt more like a chore to read the book than something fun to do. Maybe because I was so young but once I got closer to the end I enjoyed it more. Still don’t know who the turtle is.
i love scary stuff
I love this book as much as the movie!!!
AMAZING
Awesome
Stephen King A review I would write on this book is that it is so action packed, in some parts scary, but it is also a real page turner. Some others things I could give on this book is that it is very entertaining, but Stephen King also put great time and work into the wonderful characters in IT. He had a very good word building book that I am sure anyone could read. It was easy to read once I got into the book and started to understand what it was like. So in my opinion I defiantly! Suggest IT by Stephen King.
always my top favorite
