Piper Mackenzie first sees him shirtless, standing in front of the military plane she was about to board, with one rather large wrench in his hand. The fact that he has the plane—the one that she’s about to be flying on for hours—in pieces only minutes before she’s set to take off on it doesn’t faze her. At least not until a flippant joke about dying in mid-air leaves his lips. The second time she … second time she sees him, he’s helping her from the wreckage of her car. The wreckage that he helped cause.
The third, he’s laying across from her in the same bed, and there’s no denying what happened the night before.
The fourth, well that time would be the first of many. Being Mrs. Jonah Crew has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?
*****
Jonah Crew saw her for the first time as she stared at him in awe. It was snowing, the temp was in the negative degrees, and he couldn’t think about anything but her and the look of horror on her face when he tells a badly-timed joke.
The second time he sees her, his heart skips a beat, but not for the reason that one might think. Mainly, it’s due in part to the fact that his truck smashed into her car so hard that his chest hits the steering wheel and his heart decides to stop working right.
The third time, he’s fairly positive that he’s died and gone to heaven. At least, that’s what waking up next to a beautiful woman like her signifies, right?
The fourth? Well, he’s not quite sure how he got there, but he’s already said ‘I do’ so what’s a guy to do?

OH GOODNESS I AM IN LOOOOOOVE WITH IT WASN’T ME! Fabulously, wonderfully, brilliantly written, this book had me flipping ALL the pages and LOVING every word, every sentence, every SINGLE thing. The romance and amazing chemistry SIZZLED…or maybe the precise term would be SCORCHED! The banter had me swooning, grinning, and anxious for more while the story itself was pleasing and well written. It was very easy to read and I really hated to see it end!
I swear, I don’t read enough by Lani Lynn Vale and I SO VERY MUCH need to remedy that. This book was AMAZEBALLS, no joke! Fun, emotional, sexy and witty this book was what I have been looking for in a great read and I highly recommend it to ALL my romance friends.
It Wasn’t Me gets a DELIRIOUSLY GOOD FIVE SIZZLING STARS!

As usual, I will start this with, THIS IS A SERIES! To even get any kind of understanding of the characters, to get any of the feels that you will get while reading this, you must read the previous books. Do yourself a favor and start at Boomtown and work your way down. I promise this will be the most amazing binge read ever and when you finally get to Piper and Jonah’s story, you will understand when I say this was a bit bittersweet but amazing read. I have been here through it all, Sam and Chey are one of my favs in this world that LLV has created. Seeing Piper, the last of their babies, get her HEA with Jonah was such a treat. Piper has only met Jonah four times, but somehow they keep ending up on planes together. So when she wakes up married to him, she isn’t really surprised, she just hopes this all works out. What makes her nervous about the whole thing, is how will her parents take then news?
Funny bits, drama, a bit of violence, and some off the charts naughty times are what make this story amazing! Throw in some of the beloved previous characters, and the feels just keep on coming. This story sucked me in and I could not put the book down. I give this 5 stars.

I know I say the same thing pretty much every time I read an LLV book but I honestly just love this world she has created. How she has managed to write 60+ books in the same world, yet still manages to keep it fresh and engaging and just plain and simply a good read I don’t know but I’m glad she does. An extra plus in this book is that we already know both the main characters as Piper is the last of the Mackenzie sisters (Sam and Cheyenne’s kids from the book that started it all, Boomtown) and Jonah is Downy’s (Bang Switch from the KPD SWAT series) little brother. Another 5 star read and as I say every time, I can’t wait for the next one.
As per usual, Lani Lynn Vale continues to blow me away with her storylines! There is so much that I love from all her books, and this one is added to the list! We finally get the story of the last Mackenzie daughter, Piper. Finally finishing her time with the army, she is headed home early after her father got into an accident. Not the best with flying to begin with, she ends up on a plane without her medication, and Jonah ends up there with his corny jokes, that Piper takes the wrong way due to her fear. We’ve also met Jonah in previous books, and it’s here that we get the answers to the questions we had regarding what happened with him after his brother’s book. With instant attraction on both sides, Jonah helps Piper through her flight fears after both flights they take in order to get home. When fate happens again, the two end up on the same flight to Vegas for the same reason, and after a night of drinking, they end up married. The rest of the story focuses on their time after deciding to give the marriage an actual try while managing the bad luck the two have. I continue to love how these stories get better and better! This author always has me guessing until the very end and it’s never who I expect, with this one being no exception! Another hit from Lani Lynn Vale and I can’t wait for the next book in this series! I’m not sure how she will top the most hilarious moment with the Roomba that had me laughing for chapters!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Once again, this author has managed to produce a book that is unlike anything else I’ve read! She managed to include a insta-love story (which I adore!) as well as motorcycles, police officers, a HEA, and a mystery spanning generations! This book was fun, plus we got updates on some of our favorite characters from previous books, and there were surprises around every corner! I just can’t ask for more in a book!
Piper is the daughter of Sam and Cheyenne Mackenzie (Boomtown). She grew up surrounded by love, and support. She went into the Army, and now she is on the way home. Jonah’s story isn’t a happy one. He had a neglectful childhood, and then lost the only career he’d ever loved. Needless to say, he’s a bit bitter. But on glance of Piper is all it takes to turn his head (and his life!) around. Crazy circumstances, lead to a wedding that is a bit reminiscent of another (Trance & Viddie!).
There was so much going on in this book, I can’t even begin to explain how awesome it was! I loved the instant connection between Piper and Jonah. I loved seeing how perfect they were for each other. I enjoyed the update on previous characters, and the quirky mystery that cropped up in their story was just plain fun! This book was everything that we love about a LLV story, and so much more!
