Really enjoyed it
I am appalled that an attorney with an apparently good credentials wrote this unbelievable mystery. From the first fake kidnapping, to a prosecuting attorney allowing a suspect to run the show to the lawyers sitting there and letting their clients confess, and the suspects doing so….totally unrealistic, with light-weight characters. I regret the time I wasted reading it.
We enjoyed this book. There were many twists and turns and it kept me up late reading.
I loved this book.
Hard to keep characters straight.
Difficult to read and awfully dry.
A great read. Good guys vs bad guys vs law enforcement. Really hard to put down.
Kept me guessing!
What starts out as as seemingly straight-forward murder and kidnapping quickly becomes a fast paced mystery. Who were the killers? Why are they trying to frame the kidnap victim? Who has what to gain from all this? Keep reading and find out.
Too predictable.
Great book good characters
Weird!
Really enjoyed this one
Great dialogue- witty sarcastic just great
I liked the characters and the story. It is easy to read and moves along.
I thought this book was witty, and fun, and yet had a terrific plot. The characters were believable and likable. It is a murder mystery with a lot of interesting twists!
A great, fast paced read…characters are fun and real and dialogue is snappy. Good tension as the various story lines intersect.
moved well, well-written, offbeat
I did not finish. It was too weird, may have improved but I didn’t care to continue
If you are a fan of Elmore Leonard, you’ll enjoy this book. Snappy, clever dialogue, plot takes many turns; very entertaining book.
