I couldn’t put it down. Loved the characters. Lots of twists and turns. Great book.
Another Rebekka Franck thriller. I could not put this one down. Rebekka goes to interview an author and gets much more. A young boy found dead in an abandoned house. The sheriff calls it an accident.
Another boy was found dead in that house years prior. A young girl that was abused was sent to prison for murder. Rebekka digs for more information of these dead children. Other adults are turning up dead. A twisting and thrilling conclusion to this novel.
I liked this book, but it was hard to keep track of all the characters & the flipping between flashbacks & present tense. I kept forgetting different things. But it had a nice twist at the end.
Total surprise ending!
One of the best books of hers that I have read so far. Most of the time I can figure out where the author is heading and sometimes I can figure out ‘who dunit.’ Not this time. The plot twisted and turned and even when I thought it was over, IT WASN’T! Very good read!!
Kept you involved and hard to put down.
Good characters and plot. I enjoyed this book.
I can’t wait to finish reading the book.
Great book, but written at a 6th grade reading level with short sentences, etc.
This is definitely a winner. The characters have depth. The story line believable and original. If you are not familiar with the author, I highly recommend her. Willow Rose can capture.your attention and keep you guessing.
This would be a great book for a book club.
Was no thanks expecting the ending but it was awesome!
Couldn’t put it down!
A little boy is dead and the scene is eerily similar to another death that occurred in Webster years ago. Rebekka Franck is in town to interview a reclusive author when she sees the police presence at an abandoned house and the comments of an elderly bystander cause her to wonder if there is a link between the two deaths. When the interview with the reluctant author is published it sets off a chain of events that Rebekka could not have anticipated but feels responsible for. She is determined to right the wrongs she has inadvertently caused but powerful people in town would rather she leave the past alone.
This is another fast-paced psycho thriller– full of twists and turns that keep you guessing until the end. Willow Rose has a writing style that always pulls me in and keeps me reading.
This could have been a really good read, but.. First of all doesn’t any one ever proofread a book. Singular pronouns were followed by plurals in the same paragraph. She started out driving a truck, and then it was a car and then it was a truck again. Things like that are very distracting and makes me wonder about the literary competency of the author.
Suspenseful and intriguing
Too unrealistic – what journalist can “kick ass”? Also too many crises in the main character’s life. However, the switching from past crime to present crimes kept me on my toes.
Love all Willow rose books
The main point of the story got lost in the problems of the heroine. I lost interest. If you don’t catch the focus of the reader in the first chapter then you have lost them.
Willow Rose is a superb story teller!
Loved this book. Couldn’t put it down
It was a story that kept me reading. I could hardly put it down . Really an unexpected ending.
