Marry—or else.Navy SEAL Brian Lake is out of luck. Going rogue on his last mission landed him on a fast track out of the Navy—years too soon to have saved up enough money to buy the ranch he’s always wanted. Without a career—or the cash to start over—Brian’s options are few, until Army general Augustus Reed steps in with an intriguing new mission—a permanent one.Ignored by her absentee father, … absentee father, duped by thief he appointed to oversee her family’s ranch, Cass Reed is done with men for good. From now on she’s determined to run Two Willows herself, so when her father sends a Navy SEAL to fix up her house, she vows to run him off her land as soon as possible. But Brian’s just as determined to stay, and he’s in a far different league than the men she’s met before.
Brian’s ready to do anything that will earn him a share of a prosperous ranch—even take a chance on marrying the General’s daughter. And he soon realizes it won’t be a hardship to marry Cass. She’s everything he’s ever dreamed of in a woman—and Two Willows is everything he wanted in a ranch.
But he’s not the only one who wants Two Willows—and Cass.
Will falling in love be the most dangerous mission of all?

I enjoyed the relationship between the sisters and the way the romance developed between Cass and Brian . The ending left me wanting to see how each sisters story would develop in future books.
I have loved all of the issue a bride series.
Cora Seton is one of the best writers I’ve read.
Her attention to detail is amazing. I reccomend all her books for romance and entertainment.
Great story I enjoyed it.
Exiting story
I enjoyed this story very much, it had suspense, sweet romance, a little superstition and strong women.
Good storyline that progresses nicely although a tiny bit slow (but that’s because I’m impatient)
I always liked good family stories and this series has potential to be that from my experience with this first book. I look forward to listening to the next.
The characters is well written and developed in to characters I can sympathise with.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of good dialogues.
Narrator:
Clear pronunciation and read with feelings. Not my favourite but good enough.
Brian, a Navy SEAL, a real MAN you can trust, one that knows the true meaning of honor, and who can be relied upon in good times and bad. A MAN every woman wishes for – one who possesses your heart, mind, and soul and brings peace and joy to your life. Cass, the daughter of the General, that has spent her life working the land and doing her best to be there in every way for her sisters, yet been unlucky with men. The story of two people that deserve the happily ever after! A joy to read!
I loved this so much I read the whole series and a couple of other books based in that town. Will read more soon.
This is the first book in the series which means that we are introduced to more than just Brian and Cass. Yes it involves their relationship but we also see so much more. We find out how the ladies ended up on the ranch alone without either parent. One to death (mother) and the other who chose to stay away (General or father). We also see how naive each of the women are because of living in the small town and keeping their promise to their mom of remaining on the property. This book prepares the reader of what is to come for the future books in the series.
Expect suspense, betrayal, illegal activities and chemistry.
I look forward to seeing how each of these stories play out.
It seems impossible that three of my favorite romance themes all showed up at once in this terrific book, but they did!
Hot SEAL? Check. Oh, and he’s also a farmer? Check. Annnnnd….a paranormal twist? Done!
I enjoyed this story immensely and zipped right into book two after I finished. You should, too!
Would recommend it to everyone I know. It was great reading. The whole series as far as I’ve gotten, is attention getting. Hard to put down.
What happens when a hardened commanding officer chooses the husbands for his daughters who have stayed on their mother’s family ranch all their lives? It’s not always love at first sight, but it gets interesting with each sister and her prospective husband. Sexy and highly romantic!
Hate to put it down.
Good romance
Great book that I had to finish right away. Bought the second book in the series right after I finished the first. Great story of 5 sisters and their lives together.
Good summer easy read!
I love the way Cora Seton writes. It is easy to read, full of details and Acton packed mystery along with the predictable romance part.
This was the first I have read in the series. I enjoyed it a great deal and look forward to reading the other books in the series.
I wasn’t to sure about this new series to the Chance Creek world. Two Willows and it’s people first show up in the Heros of Chance Creek series #1. Navy SEALs Mail-order Bride. Then again in the SEALs of Chance Creek with the making of the period costumes, a look at the garden & maze. I’m not certain where in the time frame this takes place. Hopefully this will be made more clear as time goes on.
This book was so slow and really confusing for a lot of it. I was kind of wanting it to be better. I felt like the characters in this story were really flat and that there was no growth in them. I also felt like the whole hardship in the book were barely touched on. I wanted more drama and it lacked. I still finished it so I gave it a three.
This is the first book in a series of six. Five of the books build on the plot while the sixth book ties everything together. These are the stories of five daughters who each have a special ability and whose mother passed along a magical talent to each girl. You will also learn a lot about their mother and why their father, The General, could not bring himself to retire to the ranch and raise his five girls. You will find magic, love, hardship, and family struggles in all six books. They are well written, dialogue is easy to read and realistic, descriptions are concise and keep with the plot.
Lots of suspense and action but I didn’t like silly misunderstanding. The book was okay for me.
