Marine Logan Hughes uses humor like a shield, but he’s dead serious when it comes to getting the job done–especially when the job is protecting the woman he’s been sent to Montana to marry. Too bad Lena Reed doesn’t think she needs protecting…or a husband. Lena knows she’s the best one to run her family’s ranch, and she’ll be damned if she’ll let a man her father sent steal control of her … control of her cattle operation–or her heart. But Logan Huges isn’t like any other man she’s met. Fiercely loyal, as determined as she is to let her take charge of the ranch, she’s falling for him in spite of herself.
But when trouble comes to Two Willows, will she trust him–or turn her back on love for good?

Entertaining series
Enoyed the story.
The Stubbornness of
The girls, Lena had her man show up. But of course she wasn’t having it. Logan had a upward style to win for Lena to give him a chance.
I liked everything but the language. That I could live without
“Issued to the Bride: One Marine” (nook) pulled me into the story at the beginning and kept me involved until end. Logan and Lena are strong-willed and yet caring characters. Good read.
This is part of the Chance Creek Marine Grooms sent by the General series. Logan is the 4th groom. The Tenn. drug dealers are still spicing thing up with revenge. Alice and the mystical stone have an interesting part. There is a brief nod the the next door Jane Austin B&B series. I really enjoyed how the Marines figured out creating a family with the General’s daughters.
Another hit for Cora Seton. I really enjoy this series and look forward to the conclusion in installment five. This is fun.
Great read, couldn’t put t down.
Lena the tomboy who can manage the cows and horses and knows what needs to find to make the ranch run right gets sent the Marine. His parents wanted him to be a priest like his two brothers. His job is to help Lena build a new stable to replace the one that burned down by a drug cartel.
An action-packed page turner. Cora Seton always creates hunky heroes and strong, independent female leads. Exceptional story. Starting the next book in the series right now!
Interesting characters and great dialogue. I have really enjoyed this series, but this book seemed a little flat. I think it followed the previous plots too closely to be as exciting as they were. I’m still looking forward to reading the finale, book 5, though!
The General had sent 3 men to Montana. Each had fallen in love and married his daughters. Now it was Logan’s turn. Logan had been in love with Lena since he first saw her picture hanging over his desk. How was he ever going to win her over. He maybe the one to break the General’s perfect record.
Wow! I ended up buying all 5 books in this series! 5 daughters of a cranky old (in his 50s) General. Every sister was different and every story was different but all connected. Thank you for creating something interesting and different… I loved them all!
I can tell after about ten pages if I’m going to like a book, just by the way the author gets into her initial set up. I dump so many, but not these! Thank you for the enjoyment. Cookie
Give me a military hero and it’s a one-click book for me. Cora Seton writes honest, realistic heroes that embody honor, service and integrity. This story was a real treat as the noble Marine earns the love of an independent rancher who fears falling in love means giving up her dreams.
Recommend all five of books
Every book of the series just gets better.
I can’t believe that Logan and Lena are a couple. On the outside it appears they wouldn’t have much in common and yes, get on each other’s nerves. And they do, or at least he does her. Until the finally get a chance to really communicate. In the end, it works.
I am so looking forward to the last story. Why do we have to wait so long?
The absurd plot, cardboard characters, and predictable sidekicks did nothing to entertain me.
