Airman Connor O’Riley doesn’t believe in love. But when he crosses into a warzone to rescue a downed pilot, and finds an elderly Syrian couple has kept the man safe, he’s moved by the pair’s long-term devotion to each other to rescue them, too—and promptly lands himself in hot water. Shunted aside to a make-work, multi-branch detail under Army general Augustus Reed, Connor will do whatever it … takes to clear his name—even if that means heading to Montana to marry the general’s daughter.
Sadie Reed is done with love. Her poor choices nearly got her sisters killed when she fell for a man entrenched in the drug trade. She’s ready to leave Chance Creek—just as soon as her sister returns from her honeymoon. So when the handsome airman shows up at Two Willows, with orders from her father to help Sadie build a legacy project, she gives Connor one month to get it done.
Connor never thought he’d fall for Sadie, but when he learns she means to leave, he knows far more than his mission is at stake. Can he convince her to stay?
Or will love remain out of his reach for good?

I’m so vested into this series, but this one had more “action” than my heart anticipated! I’m still disturbed with “The General” and I have a feeling in the end, I’ll “see his point of view”, but for now, I don’t like him. I love the five sisters, their commitment to each other and Two Willows! Connor did not disappoint in his commitment to Sadie and all that she loves. Great characters and twists and turns abound!
I enjoyed this book
Fast, fun read
Loved the entire Issued to Bride series by Cora Seton. Should be read in order.
A nice series from Cora Seton focusing on romantic relationships with military men.
predictable romance, good read, enjoyed reading
This is a fun romance with a hint of mystery. The Reed sisters don’t realise that their father has hand picked their future husbands but they manage to fall for the hero. Connor and Sadie have a rocky road but they get their HEA. Can’t wait to see what happens with the other sisters and how they outsmart the bad guys.
Characters follow through in this w Seri
“Issued to the Bride” One Airman” (nook) is another good story in the “Brides of Chance Creek” series. I look forward to reading more!!!
Loved all the books in this series. Do yourself a favor and read this series
I absolutely love Cora Seaton books. All of her books are quick reads. I cannot put them down. I’m always sorry when I’m finished and can’t wait until the next one comes out.
A light affectionate story!
Cora Seton does it again with the men being sent by the Colonel! This book about Conner and Sadie’s romance is marvelous while also including some intrigue within the town of Twin Falls. The connection that Sadie lost to the earth after her Mom’s death was re-connected the more she knew and trusteed Connor. I enjoy the honor shown by the military men in this series and look forward to reading more of these!
Her books are like old friends
Light read when you just need a cute love story with a twist
