The book is a good romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This first book in the Navy SEALs of Little Creek centers around Navy SEAL Jim Stephens and Taya Maverick.
Jim is recovering from a TBI and all he wants to do is return to active duty. Things are not going well for him but his C.O. throws him a life line. Be the first to try out the arranged marriage program that the Navy wants to implement, and MAYBE he will be able to return to active duty.
Meanwhile, Taya had filled out an application of this program as a bet , but when she’s in danger and needs to leave NYC, she accepts the offer hoping that her husband to be can keep her safe.
I have to confess that I am still trying to figure out how I feel about the story.
While I appreciated the fact that the author highlights the TBI and the effects war has on the brave men and women who serve our country, the plot felt at times choppy as it jumped to a scene without some background to the reader. Not sure how I feel about the reverse sexual submission .
I will give it a 3 stars rating since it had some moments where it held my interest.

************I received this book from Tule Publication for an honest review*************
This was a good story though I did have a few issues with the set up with the Seals and some of the references she made to training which certain parts of their training is done in Coronado when she mentioned “Hell Week” anyway the rest of the story I was able to get past the arraigned marriage part as well. Once you get into the story and realize the reason that each character needs the program you are hooked into the story.
Each is doing it for a different reason but yet both are doing it to survive, by this, they actually find out that each one has a different form of PTSD which causes them not to be able to sleep at regular times. There are some funny moments as well. He did not buy any female products for so she had to go out and get them when he came home and found out that the front door was unlocked it was because he did not give her keys to the house. You would think that as a husband, that would have been on his list. I liked that she could not go to sleep because it was quiet until the police show from New York was on with lights and sirens and she was out. There are more and for these and a few others, these are what made the book.
Also, the characters around the two of them, his other teammates, and the wife’s or girlfriends and the friend she made when she got a job. All of these characters helped with the story and made it a very entertaining read. Overall a good book. I received this book from Tule publication. Follow us at http://www.1rad-readerreviews.com
This is a magnetic novel that draws you into the story and keeps you reading until late into the night. There is conflict, desire, yearning, battles of will, and an underlying current of events waiting to unfold.
