Is this how she wants to start her adult life? Is this the person she wants to be? Find out in Is This Me?
Is This Me? By Tricia Copeland is book one in the Being Me series. This is a relatable coming of age story about being on your own for the first time. We all make questionable decisions when we are young and learning to survive the real world. This is a beautiful story and the characters are believable and well written. At times while reading this book I felt like I was 20 all over again going through the ups and downs of life. I can’t wait to read book two in this series.
Is This Me? By Tricia Copeland is the first book in the Being Me series. I haven’t read anything by this author and wasn’t sure what to expect. I was expecting it to be a little racier or risque than it was but I really enjoyed the storyline and characters.
Amanda is the same age as my daughter and I feel she is more an exception than the rule when talking about eighteen year old girls. My daughter isn’t a bad kid but she isn’t nearly as well behaved as Amanda but I liked how her innocence wasn’t used against her in a negative way.
My favorite character was Zach by far. He was so laid back and carefree just seemed to enjoy life instead of taking it all way too seriously like adults tend to do and his nickname for Amanda would always make me smile.
I do plan on keeping up with this series so I can find out what happens with and to Amanda next.
Is This Me? By: Tricia Copleand was a book that I couldn’t put down. I really enjoyed the college story line and felt like I could easily connect with the characters. I give this book 5 stars.
Is this me by Tricia Copeland was an amazing and raw story. I found myself easily engaged in amandas story. I found it to be because I related to Amanda and how the story described freshman year in the dorms Amanda is also a likable character. She is loyal to a fault, honest, super smart, and beautiful. The story was interesting and the characters well developed. I could visualize the different characters. The writing style flo ed well and i didn’t get hung up on anything. Truly a great story worth 5 stars and beyond!

4-star review
Is This Me? By Tricia Copeland is a great college romance read! I enjoyed this story through and through! This is the first book in Tricia’s Being Me series, a series that I can honestly say that I’m so looking forward to reading. This story is sweet and real with the perfect amount of drama, humour and the perfect blend of characters. I loved Amanda’s story as it was so relatable and realistic.
I loved Tricia’s attention to detail, it made it so easy to feel as if I was right there with the characters, going along to the classes, to games and to parties. All of the detail made it easy to connect with Amanda from the get go. She was experiencing everything that I once had and that most do, which made me feel so invested, I can’t wait to read book 2 so I can follow along with these characters. This is a book I would definitely recommend to others.
Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) by Tricia Copeland is a wonderful story!! This is not the first book I have read by this author and it will definitely not be the last. I love the author’s writing style, she does such a good job drawing you in and making you feel like your experiencing the story. Amanda is just starting college and we get to go through all the emotions she’s going through, meeting new people including a boy she has a crush on. As we know things aren’t always that cut and dry when it comes to starting out new. We get to watch Amanda grow and mature in this story and try to balance what she wants people to know and what she doesn’t. She is a very strong character and relatable. There are also supporting characters that are really fun to meet. I highly recommend this book, it is a very well thought out and written story. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!!

The story Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) by Tricia Copeland is a coming of age/new adult romance book. This is the story of Amanda. She has just started her freshman year at college when she finds herself injured both physically and emotionally. A crush that she has doesn’t go as planned and she also finds herself needing help with her day to day life. Amanda is someone that doesn’t like to depend on others and would rather try to take care of herself. She is playing down her physical injuries and not being truthful with her friends. Will she continue to keep her friends and family in the dark in regards to the hard time she is having? Will she continue to avoid her true feelings? I enjoyed reading Amanda’s story. It gives a very real depiction of how chaotic the beginning of college is and how emotional it can become. I also enjoyed reading about how many of the secondary characters want to be supportive and helpful to Amanda. The interactions between them often turn humorous. I really felt for Amanda when situations happen that upset her. She is a character that I wanted everything to work out for. This is the first book I have read by the author and the first book in a series. I look forward to reading more of her stories. She has written a book that is easy to read, full of emotions and one I didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page.

4 star read
Is This Me? is the first book in Tricia Copeland’s Being Me series. This book proved to be a believable story about college life, friends, romance and balance. It was very well written and the characters are very identifiable, specifically Amanda. There were times that I wanted to step in and be a big sister to Amanda, maybe tell her to smarten up, especially when it comes to her love interest (Doug). The investment in Amanda and her feelings is what makes this such a good read to me, how many times in life do we watch people we care about go through something we have already done and want to help all while realizing it’s something they must figure out on their own?
Being Me is definitely a series I would like to continue reading, I’m looking forward to seeing more of Amanda’s character progression.
I think this is the most realistic love triangle I have ever read. Reading this took me back a good 15 years and I loved every moment.
The main charecter Amanada is very well developed and it was if I knew her personally and was reading about a friend.
The story is such an easy read and I read it in one sitting.
A great distraction of reality.
Tricia Copeland has done it again. I love this author. She has an amazing writing style that grabs you at the first word and craving for more at the last word. This story is about Amanda who feels like she has it all. She is at a good university. She has a BFF and a crush. One problem Amanda has no idea what has gone wrong but she has been telling lies and they are catching up to her. Amanda has to learn about this life that we call being an adult. This is her story to figure out what it is to be an adult. I am grateful for this story to see that young women can figure out what this new thing called “adulthood” means.

This isn’t my first time reading this author. Her books are really enjoyable and always entertaining ! Now this one, is highly relatable.
Amanda embarks on her first year in college. Some things don’t go as planned and she finds herself hurt and depressed. Not exactly how she wants wants to start off her college life. Will she be able to turn her life around and be the person she desperately wants to be?
Tricia has the ability to write about fictional characters, who seem real. Like they can be your friends or family. I highly recommend this book for young adults, maybe starting college or still in high school. It’s a great read, with fun and intriguing characters! Great job, Tricia! I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for us in the second book!
Is This Me? (Being Me #1) by Tricia Copeland is the first book in this series. It had all the growing pains of your freshmen year in college, but with a few exceptions.
Northwestern is in Amanda’s blood. Her dad belonged to a fraternity there, her sister was in a sorority and is in a relationship with a man from the same fraternity has her dad. Her best friend is dating a fraternity brother. So that opens doors that wouldn’t be so easily opened. She has a great roommate Elise and things seem to be going her way.
Doug is a senior and president of the fraternity and seems to have a thing for Amanda. He just got over a bad breakup and keeps sending Amanda mixed signals. Zack is the vice president of the fraternity and is a player, but seems to be a different person when it comes to Amanda. Who will win her heart in the end?
I loved this book from the first page and the author kept me engaged throughout the book. There were times when I wanted to smack Amanda and tell her to pull up her big girl panties. In the end she got herself figured out. The characters of this book were so fun and realistic. I wish I had met some of them when I went to college. At times you could literally feel what the characters were going through. This book had me on a roller coaster ride and sometimes had me yelling at the pages with some of Amanda’s choices. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Is This Me? Is the first book in the Being Me series by Tricia Copeland. I have read a couple other book by Ms. Copeland, but this is definitely my new favorite. I love the easy flowing pace of the book, and the characters are all so relatable and true to life. I remember my freshman year at college, quite a while ago, and I can remember some of the same things happening. This book was like a walk down memory lane, with twists and turns added in. Amanda is a great character, trying to find her way through her college life and like most struggles with peer pressure and man problems. Doug is kind of a wishy washy kind of guy interested one moment and hard to get the next, but that also fits with the storyline. The secondary characters really help the story flow. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Copeland has in store for the second book in this series.

This was such a lovely story to read with a really great set of characters. It was a great NA/Coming of age story and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author so I knew that I would be in for a nice, easy to read book with wonderful characters 0 and that is exactly what I got.
I really liked Amanda and I really did feel sorry for her. I think transitioning from high school to college is such a big thing even with friends already there that you know. I liked reading about how she dealt with everything. Having gone through counselling myself I could resonate with some of the feelings she had about actually going to see her therapist. She was really lucky to have such amazing friends who seemed to love her. I did struggle with her relationship with Doug and found myself frustrated with him. It was obvious that there was an attraction there and he really cared for her. I can see what happened between the two of them caused her to question things. I thought the author explored their relationship well. But I still liked Doug; he was so sweet to Amanda especially during the first few chapters. I so wanted these two to end up together!
Overall a really sweet, well written NA story that I highly recommend.
Is This Me? By Tricia Copeland is Book 1 of the Being Me series and I cannot wait to read what comes next! This was a 5 out of 5 stars read for me! Copeland is a new to me author, so i had absolutely no expectations. I found no errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and the book had a fantastic flow! I did not put it down from beginning to end! There were several unexpected twists, laughs, and tears! Is This Me? Is the story about a young woman in her first year of college. She knows what she wants in life, and she’s worked hard to get to where she is. She’s away from home for the first time and is discovering herself. She’s meeting new people while mingling with a few of her lifelong friends. Among those new people are Doug and Zach. These boys push her decision-making skills to the limit, including decisions affecting school and outside of school, and I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation! I definitely recommend this book!
A definite 5 star read for Is This Me? Book One of the Being Me Series by Tricia Copeland. I really enjoyed this book.
Amanda was so excited to go to college. She knows what she wants and what to expect. Or so she thought. When she meets Doug, she might not be so sure anymore. When things stay strictly in the friend-zone, she just goes with it. When something happens to her, she knows she needs his help or risk losing everything. With his help, she is able to make everything ok again. But in the process of getting back to normal, she fell even deeper for him. Will she be able to move forward or will things with Doug, and his change of heart, pull her right back again??
While reading this book, I loved these characters even tho, at times, I did want to throttle Amanda and especially Doug. I absolutely fell in love with Zach!!! I can not wait to read the next book in this series.

This is a beautiful coming of age story. This author is not new to me, and yet again I am reminded of how beautifully she can craft a story. The story had both depth and flexibility. Amanda is a strong thinker, level/ clear headed on what she wants but life has taken its upper hand with her. I would like to call this story a transitional story for those who are going through the same season of life, but it is also a super fun time to revisit for those of us who have been there. I adored this book. It is a easy read to fall into and you will enjoy every minute of it.
Is This Me? by Tricia Copeland is the first book in her new Being Me series and what a great opener. Following the story of Amanda and her journey through starting college and her becoming an adult. Navigating through this new world that she is thrust into, Amanda becomes painfully aware of how she imprints herself on those around her and how they leave marks on her life as well. Watching Amanda grow into the woman she was meant to be, starting new relationships and developing new and deeper friendships we get a special view into her mind, and get to see with vivid details and imagery of the emotional roller coaster that is now Amanda’s life. Copeland is an old favorite of mine from her catalog of books, but this one so far has been the best of her books I’ve read yet. If you are looking for a great book, full of amazingly written characters, and a storyline that will keep you pulled in from page one until the end. This is definitely one that needs to be picked up by everyone and anyone!

Is This Me is the first book in the Being Me series by Tricia Copeland. It is a New Adult/college/romance- about choices, fitting in, self-discovery, finding out ‘where’ you belong, being true to yourself, dealing with adulthood, being away from the family home/parents, the newfound stress of college life, expectation, and dealing with everything life seems to throw at you.
Amanda is beginning her freshman year at college. She is smart, knows what she wants and has a plan. But then Doug turns it all on its head. He’s older, a senior, who has a lot to consider and a lot at stake- but who captivates her attention like nothing she was ever expecting. This leads to choices- choices have consequences- and so Amanda finds herself in a situation she could never have predicted. Things soon feel like they are spiralling out of control. Will they work it out? It’s worth the read to find out…
I liked the characters, they were interesting and well developed- although it did take me a little while to warm up to Amanda, but she did grow on me and I ended up liking her a lot more than I thought I would. Doug was great, but he did frustrate me quite a lot with his push-pull and indecisiveness. But overall their portrayals were realistic and believable. The story is set to continue in, “If I Could Fly” book #2.
Thank you, Ms, Copeland!
I have been wanting to read this book for so long, and now I have, I love the author’s writing and especially the beautiful covers of the books in the series.
We find Amanda Avery who prefers to read than to have a drink. Except her best friend is going to make her go to a frat party with her. Amanda has a roommate Elise, everything is going well between them. Doug, the president of the fraternity, is coming out of a difficult relationship and has a crush on Amanda despite the mixed signals he sends her. Zack, vice president, also has a crush on Amanda. Who will she open her heart to?
A book read in one go so much I was hooked on the story so gripping, captivating, addictive with very endearing characters. I can’t wait to read the book two because I love the author’s writing.
