Falling for the man she was there to spy on wasn’t the plan…Roy Bentley Esq. is a self-made man, but no amount of success shields him or his family from jealous and vindictive enemies. Someone wants to destroy them and drive their good family name through the mud. Now, he needs to find someone he can trust to help him keep his business, his family, and their money out of harm’s way while he … out of harm’s way while he proves his and his family’s innocence in court.
Caitlyn has big goals, but those goals come with a heavy price tag. She’s been working with the police undercover to help free her friend of a cult’s influence. But with her best friend about to marry a man she doesn’t know, Caitlyn does the same, agreeing to spy on the rich playboy family.
When Caitlin meets Roy, however, he’s nothing like the seedy, socially awkward deviant she imagined. He’s decent, kind, and unbelievably handsome. Their temporary union might not be a problem after all…until he asks for her help. Then she’ll have to ask herself if she’s willing to risk everything to save a man she’s just met.

Full of twists and turns that kept me turning the pages until the end!
This is much like the last book in this series that I read. The storyline has a lot of potential, but it just doesn’t seem to develop that potential. I did finish it; it’s a short book. I will confess to skimming the last third of the book. The editing errors in this one bothered me. The author mixed up Hannah and Caitlyn’s names, Roy and Logan’s names, words were dropped, and there were times I had to read the sentence/paragraph a couple of times before I could figure out exactly what was being said.
Terrible editing. Flow of language is awkward. Time line is often confusing.
Good rrad
Kind of convoluted situation, but it works.
Loved all the books in this series.
I had some difficulty putting the bits of the story together. I did enjoy the dedication the characters have toward one another, family and friends alike. I will continue reading this series to learn the whole story.
A great story in the Brothers in Revenge Series
The characters were so great and the chemistry between the two main characters was scorching hot.
As with the rest of the books in this series, once you start reading you just cant put the book down.
I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.
I received an author’s copy and have left an honest review
Another awesome Brothers in Revenge story. This was Roy and Caitlyn’s story. Roy and his brothers were falsely arrested and in order to get out of prison they had to marry and divorce in 30 days. Caitlyn chose to marry Roy for several reasons even though they had never met. The blurb gives readers some insight to the story but there is suspense, and intrigue. There are cross over characters from the other books in this series which I think makes them more enjoyable. Ms. Pinder did an excellent job of developing the characters and the story line. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
Irresistibly Played is the 5th book in the Brothers-in-Revenge series. To fully appreciate this bok I suggest that the books are read in order. This is Roy and Caitlyn’s story. This book has a little bit of everything .. drama, mystery, tension, romance. It is well written with interesting characters and it has continuation with previous books in the series as the brothers and their wives do whatever they can, and whatever it takes, to clear the family name. I definitely recommend this book and series.
This adult contemporary romance takes a day to read and includes suspense elements. I read an Advance Reader Copy and this voluntary review is my own opinion.
The story is the continuation of the Bentley Saga and is the fifth book in the series. It features Roy Bentley, lawyer of the family and Caitlyn.
In this interesting story filled with suspense, mystery and romance, the reader learns more about the Bentley sons and their spouses.
The characters grow on you, are realistic, and great chemistry can be seen between Roy and Caitlyn.
The storyline is entertaining, with surprises, intrigue, lots of emotion and is also humorous at times.
Although part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone.
Gifted with a copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
I’ve been ensnared with this series from Victoria Pinder since I read the first one of the series Irresistibly Lost. And I know i can just mute my phone, put some music on and just enjoy the saga that is the Bentley family and the people who are after them.
Here we join Roy and Caitlyn as they bumble their way through their marriage while he works night and day to find a way to clear his families name. Caitlyn is helping on her own ways, she’s looking after his mum, she’s helping the police and she’s trying to make his life run smoothly.
I adore the complexities of the writing of Victoria Pinder, the way the series unfolds and we get to know each member better with each book. I also love the way that each brother is there for each other, as are their wives – they’re willing to risk their lives in order to help those they love….even if they don’t acknowledge that they do love them.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book and I devoured it in one sitting – I really didn’t put it down.
Caitlyn marries Roy to be able to help her friend, Hannah. Caitlyn is also misguided into thinking she can help by reporting to the police on her husband’s family. She starts to feel guilty about keeping secrets from Roy especially since they are working toward a real marriage. When she has nothing to report to the crooked cop, things start to get more dangerous. When Roy finds out she was lying will there be any hope for them. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
The fifth book in the Brothers-in-Revenge series a well written story that held my interest from the first to the last page. There are surprises, drama, suspense, twists/turns, mystery, and romance. This is Roy Bentley Esq. and Caitlyn Cooper-Bentley’s story I want to read the next book as the series continues it just gets better and more intense. When this series is finished I will be taking a weekend to read them all again. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. I would recommend this story.
This is the story of Roy Bentley, the family lawyer, and his new wife, Caitlyn. The Bentleys are under attack from an unknown source and all evidence point to their royal connections. The danger is real and security has been increased for their protection. Caitlyn and Roy are strangers in a marriage of convenience. As they spend time with one another, each falls for the other. However, lies, secrets and betrayals undermine the budding relationship and adds to the danger the family faces. This book is well-written, fast-paced and full of romance and suspense? This story is part of a series, and therefore, not all issues are resolved. Do Roy and Caitlyn find their HEA? YES!
Delightful story. Wonderful characters: Roy and Caitlyn in particular. Plenty of emotional impact. Some tears.
I received a copy of this book as a gift. I am leaving my honest review.
