Hot in Chicago series author Kate Meader returns with her all new, scorching Chicago Rebels hockey series, featuring her signature “steamy sex scenes, colorful characters, and riveting dialogue” (Romantic Times). Three estranged sisters inherit their late father’s failing hockey franchise and are forced to confront a man’s world, their family’s demons, and the battle-hardened ice warriors skating … warriors skating into their hearts.
Harper Chase has just become the most powerful woman in the NHL after the death of her father Clifford Chase, maverick owner of the Chicago Rebels. But the team is a hot mess–underfunded, overweight, and close to tapping out of the league. Hell-bent on turning the luckless franchise around, Harper won’t let anything stand in her way. Not her gender, not her sisters, and especially not a veteran player with an attitude problem and a smoldering gaze designed to melt her ice-compacted defenses.
Veteran center Remy “Jinx” DuPre is on the downside of a career that’s seen him win big sponsorships, fans’ hearts, and more than a few notches on his stick. Only one goal has eluded him: the Stanley Cup. Sure, he’s been labeled as the unluckiest guy in the league, but with his recent streak of good play, he knows this is his year. So why the hell is he being shunted off to a failing hockey franchise run by a ball-buster in heels? And is she seriously expecting him to lead her band of misfit losers to a coveted spot in the playoffs?
He’d have a better chance of leading Harper on a merry skate to his bed…more

Irresistible You is the first book in Kate Meader’s Chicago Rebels series and I have to say that I really enjoyed this book. Both Harper and Remy had something to prove. Harper that she could be a successful NHL owner and Remy that he could win the Stanley Cup. The characters are well developed and the story line is amazing.
I cannot wait to read the next book in this series, So Over You.

A fun, hot, and sexy read that had me captivated from the beginning to the end. Remy DuPre is “jinxed”and all he wants is to lift the cup, the Stanley Cup, above his head before he ends his career and that is coming to an end. Just as he thinks this is his year, he is traded to a team that has the worst, or second worst, standing. Harper Carson lives and breathes hockey and all she has ever wanted was to run the Chicago Rebels and now she has her chance. The only thing in her way, her two half sisters who now own it with her and have to make all the decisions with her, oh and the stipulation in her father’s will they must make the playoffs or sell. From the bottom to the top in one season. Game on! Harper brings on Remy who doesn’t want to work until he strikes a bargain to be traded mid season but chemistry, good food, sexy cajun, good hockey, and lots of fun what could go wrong…or right…
Ms. Meader is the go to author for sexy. Her characters are an irresistible combination of sweet and salty with a pinch of humor thrown in for good measure. Irresistible You is more than a hot tamale read. It tackles real issues. Issues like sexism, self – doubt, pride and second chances. Harper and Chase are the spark of this heated ensemble. Both are desperately trying to prove their worth in a sport that’s already written them off. For Remy, hockey is a way of life. His world is the sport that made him a star, but age and reputation precede him and have landed him in a less than stellar position. Harper, is a woman making her way in a man’s world. Faced with a failing team, family upheaval and a shocking betrayal she sets out to make her mark. What’s a girl to do when faced with a frustrating, egotistical, sexy man? Fall in love, of course. Breaking the ice takes on a whole new meaning.
