From bestselling author R.L. Mathewson comes the long-awaited Neighbor from Hell Novel… late.
Melanie still couldn’t figure out how one night could change the rest of her life. She should have done a lot of things differently that night, she should have turned him down, should have spent the rest of the night wallowing in self-pity, but that’s not what happened and now, she needed to figure out how she was going to survive this pregnancy with a Bradford doing everything in his power to make her fall in love with him.

The heroine: Melanie – computer programmer who has a one night stand to help getting over the fact that her fiancée left her for her sister. She gets pregnant and is on bed rest for the first five months, so is just getting to telling the father.
The Hero(es): Aiden Bradford – a doctor who shares his practice with his father. He never wants children and after the condom broke, he told Melanie that in no uncertain terms.
The Love Story: Melanie can’t work while on bed rest so when Aiden says he will help by giving her an apartment, she can’t refuse. They go from strangers, to more while she eats her way through the town.
I loved many of the previous books and thought the schtick about the Bradford men always being hungry and able to eat enough for ten men was hilarious. However, in this book it was Melanie who was the foodie. And boy did she eat in this one. At first I thought it was because she was pregnant and carrying a Bradford boy, but she stays just as food obsessed after having the baby.
All I could think of is how much weight she would gain being on bed rest for 9 months and eating junk food non-stop throughout the entire thing. It wasn’t as cute or funny. I know with the Bradford men, it is a non-issue as I know how easy it is for guys to lose weight compared to women. It just seemed to me to be the main theme in this book, not just a side thing that pops up every now and then and made it funny.
Other than that, I liked the crazy Bradford family and thought that storyline was great. Even the storyline about Melanie’s sister was good. Though I just didn’t like it as much as the earlier books from this series. The narration was fine, though it was only one woman and no men. I tend to like it when the POV switches and there are multiple narrators.
I was surprisingly delighted with this book! It isn’t that I didn’t think I would like it, I figured I would, though it was a bit rough starting out. Secret babies are a favourite of mine, and this one was a really good one, but it seemed our couple was doomed about a third of the book before things turned around. Now it still had the same kitschy dialogue all the books in this series has, so much so, that when other couples show up, it is nearly indistinguishable to tell which couple is interacting. But that is an expectation going in, and while I hope it might change, it still hasn’t. No, what I loved about Aiden and Melanie is that we got to see them falling for each other. We knew they had a connection, duh, baby and all, but they hadn’t done all the things to fall in love. We got to see that, once they started paying attention to each other, and their five things was beautiful to watch evolve and deepen. They also grew as people, individually, and that made them a strong person overall. By the end, I couldn’t imagine that these two weren’t always together, and meant to be that way forever
I love t hi is book
.L. Was one of the first romance authors I read. I love the spunk of her characters, and the stories are cute. Unfortunately, for me anyway, this series is becoming redundant. I don’t think I will be picking up another one…though this isn’t the first time I’ve said that, and each time I allow myself to get sucked back in, I feel the same afterward… I wish I remembered I said I was out.
So glad to finally have Melanie’s story 🙂 I have liked her since reading Rebecca and Lucifer’s story. While I feel like Aiden was not as much of a jerk as some of the rest of his family, there is still tension between them, Also, I do love the banter, especially the “5 things” . I can’t wait for the next NFH book!
I can not say enough about the Neighbor from Hell series. I love each and every Bradford I have the honor of reading about and count down the days until the next book is out.
Adding to this already amazing series, R.L. Mathewson gives us the book we have been waiting for, Aidan and Melanie’s story. We knew something happened in Lucifer and Rebecca’s story; and Melanie being pregnant with Aidan’s baby, and he has no clue is pretty much it. Now, Melanie is six months along and has finally decided to work up the nerve and tell her baby daddy that he is just that.. her baby daddy. But true to Bradford form, nothing goes the way that it should. With chaos, a bit of drama, loads of food, tons of funny and some very spicy moments; Aidan and Melanie have a bit of a hard start. I very much enjoyed this story, and am excited to see what’s next. I give this 5 stars.
Awkward, Witty, Romantic & A Sister From Hell!! 3.5 Stars
Irresistible: A Neighbour from Hell Novel
This story is about pregnant Melanie & Aiden, the baby’s Daddy! They’d had a drunken one night stand, after he’d diagnosed Rebecca, her bff & roommate, with Cealics Disease. She’s now married to his brother Lucifer! Unfortunately he’d hit the roof the morning after, he remembered the condom broke! He told her in no uncertain terms he never wants kids ,to get the morning after pill & ranted & raved at her – they haven’t seen or spoken to each other for 6 months!!
Melanie did as he requested, she didn’t want an unplanned pregnancy either! Unfortunately as she was so ill from alcohol she threw up a lot & didn’t realise that would hinder it working! She’s been very unwell ever since, hospital stays & complete bed rest, so now is the first chance she gets to tell him the news!!
This was an enjoyable light entertainment Rom-Com, Although her sister is evil incarnate! Lucifer & Mum were hilarious & competitive. I adored Melanie & Aiden’s 5 things rule! The epilogue was perfection!

Always looking forward to a new NFH story and Aidan and Melanie’s story was so worth the wait, couldn’t ask for a better story for these two, I especially enjoyed the 5 things and the humor that always comes with the series. Can’t wait for the next book, love those Bradfords!!!
This is the 11th book in this phenomenal series and is Aiden and Melanie’s tale. This is a well written story about this crazy Bradford family and all their shenanigans, which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive and engaging page turner. This is a fun, entertaining, and humorous read which I highly recommend for all readers.
Five years in the making and every single day of that was very well spent. This book is RL at her absolute best. I have been in love with the NFH. Series since I picked up book 1 Jason and Hailey’s story, many years ago, and there isn’t one that isn’t a 5* read to me.
This story has everything you expect from a NFH book, the humour, the wonderful family support, the hilarious pranks they play on each other, the huge Bradford appetite that makes me hungry reading it and the steamy sciences when the couple finally give in. BUT this story also has more, after a one night stand, a broken condom and a terrible morning after exchange, Melanie finds herself knocked up, but circumstances leave her unable to let the father know until well into the pregnancy. Aiden, who has made it clear he doesn’t want to be a father, is knocked on his ass when the one woman he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about, turns out to be carrying his son. Determined to be the best father he can, Aiden moves Melanie and her bump into his adjoining flat so he can take care of her, in his own special, overbearing, hysterical way. This pair both gave insecurities from incidents in their pasts which have made them weary of being vulnerable to another person, so Aiden comes up with a hilarious way of getting to know each other better by each taking it in turns to tell the other 5 random facts about themselves.
I absolutely adored both the main characters and the special friendship Melanie and Rebecca share along with the overprotective Lucifer, who is determined to be the best godfather he can be to their son.
I can’t recommend this book or this whole series, enough.
WOW!!!!!!!! This book had ALL the feels!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad R. L. Mathewson took her time writing this because this was such a great read! reading how they go through their ups and downs, the reasons as to why things were happening and the fact that I could feel the emotions coming from this book made a read I will go back to again! It has the trademark humor of this author that I adore and characters that keep me in stitches laughing!
If you love R.L Mathewson’s Neighbor from Hell series Book 11 fits right in. Aiden Bradford finally gets his time to shine!!
After a one night stand gone wrong Melanie gets more than she bargained for. With the odds stacked against her she finds help from the one person she least expects it from. Her very own Bradford.
Dr. Aiden Bradford is living his best life until one decision changes his world. Determined to do what’s right he’ll stop at nothing to help Melanie.
I don’t want to give to much away, but this is everything you’d expect from a Bradford. Aiden is good looking, charming, has a food obsession, and Melanie is his other half. I laughed so hard while reading this story, it’s definitely a great addition to an amazing series.
I have been anxiously waiting for this story for so long and I was so happy when we got it. I absolutely devoured the whole thing, I kept trying to read slowly but I just couldn’t. I was desperate to know what happened next. I love the characters in this book and the peeks of previous characters as well. The humour is brilliant. I absolutely can’t recommend this book and series enough.
This was a perfect story and I loved the humorous undertones to it. After Melanie and Aiden hook up in a moment of weakness for Melanie she finds out her life is going to change all due to a broken condom. Aiden is a total bachelor and Melanie is nervous at telling him about the baby but she can’t hide it any longer and what happens next is perfect
Loved this book! It made me laugh out loud many times! The witty banter between all the characters, particularly from the BFFs was hilarious! I could see where the book was going from the start but I still enjoyed watching as the one night stand evolved into something more.
This was my first book by this author so I found it a little difficult at first to wrap my head around all the brothers and who everyone was but the story still worked great.
What an entertaining read! Aiden and Melanie was fun to follow, they were hilarious and so sweet but crazy at the same time. You will not be able to help your self but fall for the characters in this series that will have you wanting more. I can’t wait to see next who finds their HEA.
5 stars
Aiden is a doctor and loves his single life. He doesn’t want marriage or children. All of that changes when he has a one night stand with Melanie, the woman he can’t get out of his head since he first met her. Melanie lives next door to Lucifer, Aiden’s brother and her best friend’s husband. She just found out about her ex and is down. Melanie agrees to a date with Aiden but the next morning he really puts his foot in his mouth. Now six months later, Melanie has got the nerve to finally tell him and he is dumbfounded. He talks her into moving next door to him but he first has to fix the apartment, so she stays with him.
A pregnant woman with an addiction to carbs and the guy who is falling for her. Hilarious, sexy, sweet, and so dang good.
Aidan was always careful until that one night and now he has to figure out how to make it right….Melanie is still reeling from the one night that will change her life forever…… This is the 11th book in The Neighbor From Hell series and let me tell you that it’s as fresh and funny as the first, if not more so! Take a Bradford in one heck of a pickle and just watch the antics he goes through to make things right…and to win his lady’s heart. These characters are so adorable and funny that you can’t help but fall in love with them..and their story. Great job Ms. Mathewson
