“Sexy, heartfelt–did I mention sexy? With the perfect touch of the forbidden, Melanie Harlow has outdone herself with single dad Mack and Frannie’s story!”—Ilsa Madden-Mills, Wall Street Journal bestselling authorI’m a full-time single dad to three daughters and CFO at Cloverleigh Farms. I don’t have time to fall in love—I’m too busy trying to run a business, keep the red socks out of the white … the white laundry, and get the damn pillowcases on without owing a dollar to the swear jar.
Sure, Frannie Sawyer is beautiful and sweet, but she’s twenty-seven, the boss’s daughter, and my new part-time nanny—which means she’s completely off-limits. It’s bad enough I can’t stop fantasizing about her, what kind of jerk would I be if I acted on the impulse to kiss her?
(Exactly the kind of jerk you’re thinking.)
Actually, I’m worse than that—because I didn’t stop with a kiss, and now I can’t stay away. She makes me feel like myself again. She reminds me what it’s like to want something just for me. She’s everything I ever needed, but nothing I ever imagined.
I’m a former Marine. I should have had the strength to resist her from the start.
But I didn’t. And now I have to choose between the life I want and the life she deserves.
Even if it means giving her up.

Irresistible by Melanie Harlow is a great book!! It made me want a macaron badly!! I really appreciated what an amazing dad Mack was and how Frannie was so great with the girls!! I honestly just really loved everything about this book!! Mack’s a great member of my harem!!
Irresistible is the perfect title for this book. Once you read the blurb, that’s it. You just have to read it. And what a book! So sweet, yet angsty in the best possible way.
I loved Frannie, she was like a piece of fresh air to jaded and lovelorn Mack.
Mack’s newly minted single dad left to raise three daughters on his own by his ex-wife (what a b*tch, she is too) But, Frannie has been crushing on him from afar now that he’s available, she can’t stop thinking about him.
Mack is not looking for love or relationships, his ex-wife made his leery of all that, but he is more than interested in a little hooking up, but not with Frannie. He thinks she’s too young for him, but when they are forced to spend a snowy night together, things start to get heated and he begins to see Frannie in a new light.
But, he still thinks he’s not the man for her. It’s up to Frannie to show him the error of his ways. Don’t second guess buying this, just One-Click it now, I promise you’ll love it as much as I did.
What is it about single dads that make them so appealing in romance stories?
Perhaps it’s the fact that they seem to truly understand how precious his time his with his kids despite the chaos that surrounds their daily lives. Or, it could be because they have no problem showing love and affection to their children and go out of their way to protect and cherish them at all costs.
So just knowing that Mack is a single father to three beautiful girls amps up his appeal and makes it quite easy to fall in love with him as soon as he shows just how much they mean to him and what he’s willing to do to put them first. And I think the fact that Melanie Harlow doesn’t just show all of the happy and fun times that Mack experiences with his three daughters but also offers an insider’s view of their chaotic life and the maelstrom of schedules, lunches, and laundry that Mack must work through each and every day adds a realistic perspective to this single business man’s challenge to make it to the end of each day just to turn back around and start it all over again.
Mack wears many different hats as a single dad running a business and raising three daughters, which means there’s not much time for himself – no easy way to have something just for him – so the fact that he’s attracted to his boss’ youngest daughter is not something he can act on, not only due to the forbidden aspect of any kind of non-plutonic relationship existing but also because, when everything is said and done, he really doesn’t have much room in his life for anything else, especially something that could end his career as well as hurt his children in the process.
But sometimes the right person is just too irresistible to give up and based on the way Mack and Frannie look at each other and connect on the most basic of levels, what’s between them is not something that can be ignored, even if it makes their lives exponentially more difficult.
Because of the complicated situation that Mack and Frannie create when they give into their attraction and their feelings for one another, problems arise that have no easy answers, which means that even though these two can’t seem to stay away from each other, their path to a happily ever after is a struggle, not only because of Mack’s responsibilities at home and at his job, but also because he has more than just himself to think about, so it’s difficult to put himself ahead of his girls, even if that means sacrificing his happiness for theirs.
Melanie Harlow is known for her good guy heroes and Mack definitely fits that mold. He’s genuine and caring and he shows his girls just how much they mean to him. Mack and his daughters’ interactions were so fun to read and there were a plethora of swoon worthy moments when he was with them and then when Harlow brought Frannie into the mix, she proved just how well the five of them fit together, despite Mack and Frannie’s age difference, Mack’s position in Frannie’s family’s company and those well placed obstacles that seem to indicate there’s no way that a relationship between them could work.
I’m beyond excited for this series to continue – not only because of the main and secondary characters readers have met but because the setting of the series is in an environment that adds the perfect atmosphere for realistic stories about love, life, and laughter.
4.5 Poison Apples
This book was single-dad perfection! Mack and Frannie were everything! I loved every single thing about this book and can’t wait for more from this series! Amazing!!!! Highly recommend to anyone who loves a sweet, sexy romance!
This was one heck of a swoon worthy single Dad romance!
Mack was such a devoted Father to his girls, yet he was also portrayed in a realistic light that I imagine most single parents may relate to.
Frannie was sweet, lovely and exactly what Mack and his girls needed.
The dynamic between them was fun, flirty and SO sexy!
Irresistible was a feel good romance I highly recommend!
Wow… Such an awesome book! I loved Mack’s character in her last book and was actually hoping he would get his own story! This book is beautifully written, steamy, sweet and passionate. I related a lot to Frannie. The youngest child who struggled medically as a kid and needing to fight to prove herself. I also have a thing for single dads sometimes so this book was perfect for me. Haha. Mack is an amazing father who will go to great lengths to protect the ones he loves. He is full of passion and I am so happy we saw more of him in Irresistible. Thank you Melanie!
I’m absolutely smitten with everything about this sexy, sweet and witty single-dad, small-town romance. Mack is divorced and a former Marine trying to juggle civilian life, three adorable daughters and work. He doesn’t think he has the time or capacity for a relationship and definitely not with his boss’s daughter, Frannie, who has led a sheltered life and is ten years younger than him. When Frannie begins babysitting his girls regularly and they spend more time together, the attraction between them becomes undeniable, but Mack doesn’t know what to do with himself. It’s absolutely adorable and downright swoon-worthy to witness him falling head over heels for her.

5 Finding All Your Happiness Stars!!!
A new series from Ms. Harlow and this is a phenomenal way to begin!!! We met Mack in Only Love and when I found out she was writing a series around Cloverleigh Farms I was giddy with excitement!! This first book is about Frannie the youngest Sawyer daughter and our single father Mack who has the BEST little girls in the world.
I could sense their attraction from the beginning of the book. But getting Mack to act on it was a different story. He’s dedicated to raising his girls but it’s tough when it’s just him with really no support because his immediate family isn’t close by and let’s not even discuss their mom!!! I loved how Frannie immediately loved these girls. Their each unique in their own way and the love she has for them is truly genuine.
Mack is so attracted to Frannie, but isn’t sure he’s ready for another chance at love because the first time around didn’t work so well. However, one thing he can’t deny is how attracted to this beautiful woman he is…and they act upon it several times…and it’s pure electricity for these two. He pushes her to experience things she’s never done and she shows him that having a relationship may not be all bad.
But, it can’t be all puppies and rainbows. There’s some underlying family issues with Frannie’s family and Mack, like a typical man, gets scared when his feelings blossom into more than he was wanting and there’s some true heartbreak. Leave it up to Ms. Harlow though to get us through this heartache with the help of some outside influences that really show Mack it’s okay to love again!!!
As I said above, this is wonderful start to this new series and I can’t wait to see what happens next at Cloverleigh Farms!!!
What a great story I love mack and frannie together they have great chemistry and just sound so cute and Mack’s 3 girls are hilarious. I read this book in one day and was so sad it ended one of my top reads of 2019
I absolutely fell in love with Mack and Frannie in Irresistible. Melanie Harlow weaves a sweet romantic story about 2 people who fall in love even with all the odds stacked against them.
Declan “Mack” MacAllister is doing all he can to hold his family and himself together. After his wife leaves him and his 3 daughters Mack has no become all things to his 3 girls. A position he never thought he would be in – his only escape is his job as CFO at Cloverleigh Farms and his chance to see the bosses much younger daughter Frannie. Who by the way has become a lifesaver in more ways than one babysitting his daughters when she can. Mack has had kept his feelings for Frannie hidden – he knows that he is in no position to act on his feelings, too much is stacked against him. That is until one night when everything changes.
Frannie Sawyer – the youngest daughter has been kept in a bubble all of her life. Born with heart issues her parents have sheltered her entire life. Now at 27 she is taking care of herself and is ready to branch out and finally do her own thing – starting with acting on her feelings for Mack. She is willing to be who he needs for both him and his girls if he would just let her.
Irresistible takes us back to Cloverleigh Farms and we get to spend more time with Mack and Frannie who we met in Only Love. The story is told from dual POV’s so we get the full picture of Mack and Frannie’s life and what each is thinking. We also get to meet some great secondary characters – Frannie’s sisters and Mack’s great girls who help drive the story. Ms Harlow does a great job taking her readers on their journey. Irresistible is a great first book to the Cloverleigh Farms series!
If you go into Irresistible, the first book in the new Cloverleigh Farms series, thinking it’s going to be a lighthearted single dad/hot nanny story you’re going to be very disappointed. Instead, you’re going to find a beautifully written, emotional, and angsty love story. It’s told in dual POV (something I personally love!) so we get a chance to better understand the challenges and struggles the main characters go through and grapple to overcome. Both MCs are spread too thin, they’re emotionally starved for affection, always putting the needs of others before their own. With four more sisters in the Sawyer family, I hope we get their stories too; this is great start to a new series.
“I’m realistic. I know what I am and what I’m not capable of.”
Frannie Sawyer, twenty-seven, has always been treated with kid gloves by her overprotective mother. The youngest of four sisters, Frannie was born with a heart defect and had three open-heart surgeries before she was ten. As a result, she was homeschooled by her mother and had no friends or a close relationship with her sisters. Frannie was tired of being treated like a child by her parents. She wasn’t allowed to go off to college like her other sisters had, instead she’d gone to school close by. She worked as a receptionist at the family inn and helped her boss, Mack, by working part-time as his nanny. What she really loved to do was baking; she dreamed of one day having her own bakery, something her mother thought was a bad idea. Oh, and Frannie also loved her boss. Yep, she was secretly in love with Mack.
“My first priority in life was my children, and my second was my job, so that I could provide a good life for them. That left no room for anything else.”
Declan McAllister, thirty-seven, was hired as the CFO at Cloverleigh Farms. The single dad had sole custody of his three young daughters, after his now ex-wife decided she didn’t want to be a full-time mother. The foul-mouth, ex-marine was barely keeping his head above water, he felt a little overwhelmed at times, so he was grateful for any and all help he could get. Especially from Frannie, the girls loved her, and even though he was attracted to her, Mack was aware he could never let her know how he felt. He kept a tight lid on his feelings, there was too much to lose if he acted on them. And Mack knew he couldn’t be that selfish, he had nothing to offer her. Until one night they suddenly and impulsively acted on their desires. But afterwards, Mack made it perfectly clear it had been a mistake, one that couldn’t be repeated, much to Frannie’s dismay.
“You wanted to be treated like an adult? Free to make your own mistakes? Here you are—a great big plate of THIS IS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE, served cold with a side of humiliation.”
I loved this story! These two were made for each other, even though it took one of them a little longer to get the message. All it took was to have an open, or rather, a ‘willing heart’!
“Nothing is impossible to a willing heart.”
“I like that. But what’s a willing heart?”
“A heart that’s open to anything.”
Your gonna swoon hard for this sexy single dad that gives you all the feels and his three girls which brought so much joy to the story just the interaction alone of family life as a single dad Mack kicked butt, and Frannie much younger knowing each other for years and the heat and attraction these two have burn up the pages with just the temptation alone. This was so sweet and loving with a lot of laughs and it was so so good.
A cute, sweet read.
This is a book that I actually had mixed feelings about for a while. At first I couldn’t relate with the characters, I felt he was a jerk and she was immature but the more I read the more I realized just how much I was enjoying these two. And to top it off there are three cute girls that grabbed my heart as well.
It’s cute, sweet and even sexy. Mack and Frannie will pull you in and the author gives us a great story. I’m excited to see where we go next.

This is the first in a new series by Ms. Harlow and it has so much of what she is know for. It is sweet and sexy with a touch of humor. Ms. Harlow writes characters you love. Frannie and Mack’s story is one that you won’t want to put down. Mack is a sexy single dad who can’t keep all of the balls in the air. Frannie is younger and works with him at her family’s company. She also watches his kids for him quite a bit. Frannie has always loved Mack from afar, but when he might return those feelings, Frannie is all in.
This story was a good one and had a lot of heat and a great story between these two. Who doesn’t love a sexy single dad? Mack was struggling, but yet his love for his girls shone through. I can’t wait to see what’s to come from this series!
Melanie Harlow is one of those authors that once her new release hits my kindle nothing else around me seems to exist. I want to lose myself in another sweet sexy read as only Harlow can gift to her readers. It’s that familiarity of scenery and old friends in one of her stories/series that lifts my spirits every time.
In Cloverleigh Farm series, Irresistible is the first book and it did not disappoint me one bit. I may have had an infuriating moment or two with Mack, the stubborn former marine but his beautiful scene-stealing daughters put everything into perspective for me. I was able to grasp his fear of letting everyone around him down. Mack has his priorities straight and his three daughters come first even if it’s at the expense of his own feelings.
Frannie Sawyer will have everyone falling in love with her. She may be a decade younger than the man that captured her heart years ago but that doesn’t matter, she has so much love to give to him and his girls. How will she be able to go after her dreams with overprotective parents? Frannie also has to help a man see that she is worth loving and that she’s strong enough to handle everything that he comes with.
This is one hot read and that is due to all of Mack’s alphaness and his filthy mouth (it’s knee-buckling filth) it had me blushing. The love of the family and friends add the heart and soul of this story. Irresistible is a reminder that you don’t have to do everything alone, those that truly love you will always be by your side and definitely be the ones to tell you that you’re doing it all wrong. I’m LOVING this story so hard.
5 Must Read Stars!
I can never resist a new Melanie Harlow book. I get so GIDDY!! Irresistible is exactly that, Irresistible. It had me at first sight, that cover is gorgeous. Secondly, her stories are addicting, charming and jammed packed with all the FEELS!
Get ready for the #MackAttack!! Irresistible is sweet, charming, and totally addicting. Single dads are my kryptonite! Mack and Frannie give off some serious vibes that burst my heart.
Mack is far from perfect. He’s gruff, unorganized, swears like a trucker but he’s got a heart of gold. He may not be father of the year, but darn-it, he’s trying his hardest. His three girls will tug at your last heartstrings. One of the major reasons this book is so freakin awesome is it’s realness. Mack and Frannie aren’t perfect. He’s ripe with raw emotions and valid reasons for not wanting a relationship but at his heart, he’s a human seeking love and companionship. He deserves to be loved fully. Frannie is his perfect balance. She gets him, underneath all the layers, her heart beats for his.
Irresistible is incredible!! I’ve struggled for days to put how much I love this book into words. I still don’t have it completely. Melanie Harlow has bursted my heart wide open with this love story. Especially those little girls….ALL. THE. FEELS!!! Irresistible is absolutely on of my top reads of 2019 and my new favorite by Melanie Harlow. I can’t wait for more of the Sawyer sisters.
This was a sweet story about taking chances. Mack has been burned by love and is now struggling to find a new life for himself and his daughters. He is trying to hard to be the perfect parent and doesn’t think he has anything to offer. Frannie is the youngest child and due to a childhood illness, is coddled and protected by her parents. She wants to take chances and chase her dreams but has to break free of her parent’s protectiveness. Both of them have to finally take a leap of faith to find happiness.
I’m not gonna lie, I was very close to not liking Mack. He thinks he can just walk away from Frannie and ‘pretend it never happened’, then can’t understand why Frannie is upset. Men! With the help of a few familiar faces and three fantastic little girls, Mack finally sees the light. Frannie and Mack are fantastic together and the moment where it all comes together is so stinking adorable!
Excellent read by Melanie. It captured my attention right away. I couldn’t put this amazing book down until finished it. Mack and Frannie were off the charts. There was love throughout and laughter. Definitely emotions that ran deep and totally understandable. The family was strong and smart beyond. Don’t hesitate to purchase this book.
I’m in love with this book!
Ms Harlow is a new author to me, and I can’t wait to read all her books.
Mack is a former marine, single dad, trying his best for his daughters. He is a full-time dad, hands-on for everything and anything, housework, girls lunches boxes, trying to stay sane as much as he can.
His house is chaos organise in his way; he needs help; he can feel he going to drown soon.
As a CFO at Cloverleigh Farms, he does his best, but he is struggling.
Frannie has a volleyball team on her side, and she is the youngest of five sisters.
Her parents are the owners of Cloverleigh Farm, and she works for them.
After Mack’s wife left him, Frannie became his part-time nanny, she can’t stop to think about him, how good he is with his daughters, all his muscles, hotness and she became kind of obsessed with him, she can’t help herself, he is perfect for god sake!
Mack isn’t blind, he can see all the curves and beauty Frannie carries, but she is the daughters of his boss, and this can’t happen, but he can’t stop the fantasies.
Mack & Fannie are amazing together; their relationship is real, with real problems and fears.
This book got me by surprise, and I love every word.
I highly recommend this book.
All the Stars.
