IRRESISTIBLE AT CHRISTMAS (Irresistible Romance Book 2)

I received a partial advanced reader copy of this collection. This is my voluntary review of two of the books.

Miss Christmas by Stephanie Queen introduces Scarlet, a struggling actress who is working as a waitress. Scarlet has applied to a department store contest to be Miss Christmas. She wants the exposure, but especially wants the $10000 prize. Unbeknownst to her, she is the favorite applicant. Coincidentally, one of the department store owning family comes into her diner and they have an instant attraction. Scarlet and Will begin a really hot (and well described) love affair, even though he is involved in the contest. She has a wild, uncontrolled personality and he is used to “finished” girls. Should they continue their affair? Should they break it off, or can they resist each other? This is a sexually explicit book with language. I enjoyed the book.

Home for Christmas by Cynthia Cooke is about a young woman, Melanie who returns to her original family home that is about to be turned into a fine inn. She hasn’t been home for 10 years, since her mother died in an accident. On her first day, she finds that problems have popped up at the last minute and she requests that the owner of the company doing the renovation come immediately to address them. It turns out that the man doing the renovations has purchased the company from the original owner. That man, Eric, was also involved in the same accident that killed her mother and Melanie’s father blames Eric for the mother’s death. Melanie and Eric get off to a rough start, but find that they are attracted to each other. This is another well written story that I enjoyed. It’s “tamer” than Miss Christmas.

IRRESISTIBLE AT CHRISTMAS (Irresistible Romance Book 2) an Anthology is full of some of the great writers I have read before but I have also found myself some newbies as I was so impressed with their stories. Each story is different but each one evolves around Christmas. Some are sweet, some are fun and some are funny and some pull at your emotions and make you cry but they all involve romance in various degrees. This is a wonderful collaboration of works coming together to give us a most pleasurable read.

Two Hearts’ Christmas Gift by Tamara Ferguson is just great. I love her wounded warrior series and spin offs etc. Great read. A story of waiting for the right time for love to reconnect with the love of your life and settle in to the love and life you have wanted since a first kiss in a magical place.
Gifts Of Love by Natalie Ann is a lovely story of a man who has everything but someone by his side. Can he show her that he is more than his money? Will she get over her past hurt to let him in?

Charlie Saint by Suzanne Jenkins is a story about a man who almost loses his life and the woman who chooses to stick around but she needs to let go of a painful past in order to truly open her heart. Beautiful story.

Home For Christmas by Cynthia Cooke is a lovely but painful read where Melanie returns to Pineville to renovate her old home and face old memories. If only the contractor was not the one person she has believed responsible for turning her world upside down.

Keep Me Warm by Alicia Street tells the heart-warming story of a small-town girl who suddenly finds herself in love with the enemies. Can they really be in love? Will they truly turn it around to become the one/

Miss Christmas by Stephanie Queen is a fun story of Scarlet who scraps by on the best days and decides she wants to become the next Miss Christmas pageant. When a stranger walks into her life she can’t believe her luck but is she willing to give him all her heart. He decides that she is not the one for him, no matter what his heart says. Will he let go and realise just how good they can be together?

Christmas Con by Rachelle Ayala, tells the sad story of two people who have just met but become a lie to keep a grandfather happy for what will be his last Christmas. Bring the tissues.

Courage To Celebrate by Taylor Lee this is also a sad tale but also one of something precious out of so much torment. Luke and Ava are dealing with the loss of several people in their community and now their hope and dreams has decided to come about a little earlier than they thought.

Christmas Wish by Patrice Wilton is a wonderful story of a man who loves them and leaves them and apparently has foot and mouth disease when he is in the same place as Meghan the new woman in town. Meghan has just moved towns to be closer to the special school her young son needs but when faced with the man upstairs she begins to wonder if she needs some her time and whether or not it could be more. But she can’t be a one night stand and is he willing to have more? This one made me laugh as well.

I love reading anthologies because you get a number of books in one shot and who doesn’t love stories about love, hot men and adorable women and Christmas!!

What a brilliant anthology of Christmas stories. These are all full length novels and while I’ve previously read two of the authors, the others were all new to me. While each book is a stand-alone, it is easy to see that some are part of a series. I was never at a loss for who is who or what came from where.

TWO HEARTS’ CHRISTMAS GIFT was written by Tamara Ferguson and is based on her Crystal Rock / Dragonfly Pointe Inn series. “Dragonfly Pointe was supposed to be magical; especially at Christmas.” The story is the perfect blend of holiday romance and redemption and, of course, magic.

That is just one example of the brilliant storytelling in this glorious anthology. I was feeling a little bah humbug and then read these stories over the last few days and my spirits were lifted.

I absolutely recommend this book.

Scarlett Jones and her best friend Deidre Howell are trying to break into acting in New York. This involves not starving to death and having a place to live until they finally catch a big break. They are best friends, roommates, and co-workers at the luncheonette across from Regals Department store. If Scarlet can win the Regal Department Store Miss Christmas Pageant then she will be able to pay for her parent’s vacation to visit her in New York. It was getting toward the end of their workday when a mouthwatering stranger walked into the diner.

William Regal could not take his eyes off the knockout standing in front of him or her mesmerizing cleavage. She might not be the elegant woman they were looking at for their Christmas branding but she took his breath away. The incredible night they spent together left him aching for her. But will she still want him when she finds out who he is?

This is a steamy romance with a good plot. The intimate scenes will leave you Breathless.

Home for Christmas by Cynthia Cooke

Melanie has come home to Pineville after many years to turn the Gable house into an inn. Its Christmas time and the launch date for the inn is New Year’s. She is looking forward to all the renovations being completed by McKinley’s Construction in time for her to furnish and decorate for the launch party. When she arrives it’s obvious there has been a water line break in the house in the contract was nowhere to be seen. When he finally arrives to mop up the leeks and give her a tour after working the rest of the mansion he looks familiar. Eric Greenlee is hoping she doesn’t recognize him until he has a chance to finish the project but no such luck. As soon as Melanie discovers his identity, she fires him on the spot. There is no way she will work with the man who killed her mother she soon finds out he is the only contractor available will be able to finish the work before her father arrives.

This is a nice feel-good Christmas Story. I found myself rooting for Eric and Melanie and hoping everything would work out with her father.

Christmas Con by Rachelle Ayala

Ex-con Samantha Reed joins forces with Braden Powers to deceive his dying grandfather into thinking Braden has a successful career in law enforcement and has a sixteen-year-old daughter to make his last Christmas a happy one. In return for masquerading as his teenage daughter, Sammi will enjoy a Christmas celebration that she has always dreamed of but never had – family and all the holiday trimmings. Braden’s estranged family is gathered at the ranch so it will be a challenge to deceive everyone especially when he must share a room with his “daughter” who would like nothing better than to spend some “adult” time together.

It’s a cute storyline and has some humorous as well as emotional interactions between the characters as the charade continues – a very enjoyable holiday story.

Irresistible at Christmas (Irresistible Romance book #2) is a beautiful anthology filled with stories by some of my favourite writers! I love anthologies as they give me an opportunity to discover new writers while delving deeper into the worlds by the writers I already love and admire.
My number one in this anthology is Two Hearts’ Christmas Gift by Tamara Ferguson! I have read every single story she has written and whenever I see that she has released something new, I jump on them and I absolutely loved her new addition to her wounded warrior series. It was a pure pleasure to be back in Crystal Rock and Dragon Pointe for a magical Christmas and if you have not read any of Tamara’s books before then this is a beautiful introduction into her world!
Another one of my favourite writers is Stephanie Queen and it was a great fun to read about Scarlet who decided to become the next Miss Christmas while falling in love with a stranger who for some reason is stubborn and thinks that Scarlet is not the one for him even though deep down he knows better!
Natalie Ann is another writer who I found in another collection and I loved her short story Gifts of Love. If you like stories about self-made millionaires and money not making one happy … add to it a woman who has been hurt too many times before and you have a story that will bring you into Natalie’s world.
I had also read Alicia Street’s books before so I knew that there might be something good in store for me and she did not disappoint! She gave us a well written piece of from enemies to lovers! Add to it a small town and you can close your eyes and just picture it!
If you feel that you want to celebrate the season with some season appropriate reading then this collection hits the spot!

This must read anthology is an absolute must add to all romance lovers – especially those that love the Christmas holiday. I am always on the lookout for the latest for Ferguson and knew I had to have this collection. Was thrilled to find stories from Street and Queen included. Each story was poignant and powerful and flirty and festive. I thoroughly enjoyed each tale and thought the collection was well thought out and compiled. From start to finish, it was an easy and very enjoyable read. Very much put me in the holiday mood.

Great stories but my favorite is Pets to the Rescue. I have to admit I’m a HUGE fan of Tamara Ferguson so I’m always looking for books or anthologies with that have her work features in them. This book was another 5 star read for me. I’ve been a big fan since I started reading the two hearts wounded warrior series. I feel like all the books by this author tie into each other and I love it.
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and these characters are about to see why. Jake and Kinley were both at The Crystal Rock Tap one night. They couldn’t get each other out of their minds. Jake had a huge crush on her many years ago but now that they have both grown up what will happen? They are going to be seeing a lot of each other since Jake is there to help out with the animals. Will these two finally get the happy ending they deserve?
