I only have one rule when it comes to men: don’t fall in love.
And it’s never been a problem before. Then again, I’d never met Hunter. He’s younger. Successful. And he’s the first man who understands me, sees me.
He’s also my client, and the key to winning a prestigious home design contest.
But there’s so much more at stake than my career.
Now I have to decide which is scarier–losing the prize … career.
Now I have to decide which is scarier–losing the prize or my heart.

Oh this story stole my heart, I very much devoured this book. Very well written
I love Lauren and Hunter. I’ve got a massive crush on both of them. If you like friends with benefits, age-gap, *it’s just sex* stories with steam, romance, and an HEA, check this one out.
I absolutely loved Hunter and Lauren. They were both 2 broken, sex crazed, non commitment people that fell in love with each other. They were able to break each other walls down with out even know it. It was perfect. The chemistry was noticeable from the beginning and had me hooked.
This was my first Jenna Hartley book and I loved it! Lauren and Hunter are commitment phobic and think their relationship is just physical. I loved the development of them as a couple and then my heart broke for Lauren when we learn about her family’s past. I was so angry with Hunter for lying to her and then Lauren did not hearing him out. Their communications skills really sucked! But Jenna Hartley brought them back together in the perfect way and I loved these characters! Can’t wait to read more from Jenna!
Irresistible is another—wait for it—irresistible romance in Jenna Hartley’s Love in LA series. Lauren is a successful interior designer with great personal style and a lifestyle she loves. Lauren has rules about relationships: she doesn’t do them. Why muddle something good with feelings—especially having been burned in the past?
Hunter comes from a wealthy and successful family, but he’s made his own success. Like Lauren, he doesn’t do relationships. So when the two of them meet and work on a new design project, they both feel that they’ve met their match—their equal. And the chemistry between them in undeniable. So why not have some fun in the process?
Told in alternating POV chapters, Irresistible is the story of two headstrong people who don’t realize what they really want until the meet each other. Hartley writes incredibly fun characters with multifaceted personalities and rich personal lives. Lauren and Hunter’s story is sexy and sweet, with enough drama thrown in to keep readers on their toes. I guarantee you’ll be rooting for Lauren and Hunter!
This is another amazing story! I was not able to put it down! I was really excited to read this book and Jenna delivered a book full of surprises and emotions. This is a love story of 2 broken souls healing each other and helping each other to face their weaknesses. Finding their HEA was not easy; however, they faced each hurdle and held to each other.
LOVED Lauren and Hunter’s book! If you are looking into reading this book, you should totally give it a try!

**3.5 Stars**Lauren wants nothing to do with commitment. Her only commitment is to her friends and her job. She enjoys a carefree life of no strings and no one will get her to waiver on that. Until Hunter keeps popping into her life in random places. Hunter hires Lauren to decorate/design his home that forces them to spend a lot of time together. Hunter is exactly like Lauren, wants nothing to do with commitments since he can’t trust if a girl wants him for him or his money and/or family name. Eventually they give in to their chemistry and start a friends with benefits arrangement. And we all know what happens with those – someone always grows the dreaded feelings. In their case it is both of them.
At first I was a little worried about this book – the first chapter was just a tad ridiculous and I was concerned that the entire book would be that awful but it got better from there. I enjoyed Lauren and Hunter’s banter a lot. They were really fun. I also liked that once they both realized that there were feelings involved that they didn’t run away because they were scared. This was an easy and fun read with likable characters who had off the charts chemistry. Really enjoyed this one and would recommend it to others.
I absolutely loved the chemistry and banter between Hunter and Lauren. I was rooting for them from the moment they met but OMG why did they have to make me crazy with all their rules and mistrust? By the time I was 70% through this story my anxiety was through the roof and I couldn’t read the words fast enough! I don’t know why Jenna felt she needed to put my heart through the ringer like she did but in the end all is forgiven because I…I mean Hunter and Lauren…got their happily ever after. I love the group of friends that I have been introduced to and grown to love throughout this series. I can’t wait for more!
Jenna writes some of the best female characters.
Age gaps aren’t my thing UNLESS they are written right and not too big of a gap lol. And that is what Jenna has done.
I loved Lauren since Unexpected, book 1, there was just something about her that I wanted to know more about. I loved how strong and confident she was in herself. But I wanted to know more about her and why she was the way she was with men.
The little bit of Hunter you get in book 1 was also enough to get you interested in knowing more about him. I mean the bet was something I loved that he did. The way he not only takes care of his sister but his best friend too showed how much heart he really did have but why didn’t he give it away.
4⃣.5⃣
recommendation
I loved this book. I love the uniqueness of each character’s world and how they collide with each other. .
If you read Unexpected then you’ll get to see some of your favorite characters again. If you haven’t read Unexpected this novel acts as a standalone.
.
Hunter is an utterly sexy playboy who’s used to getting his way with everything. He’s a loyal friend. His friendship with Preston and his sweet relationship with his sister save him from coming off as a complete privileged a**hole and form his depth.
.
Lauren is a self-made woman. She’s not meek. She embodies herself fully and without shame. That’s why I love her. It’s not a man’s world—it’s hers. When Hunter enters her world she gives him a brazen run for his money.
.
The banter and the sexual tension is perfect. I definitely felt my own core heat up on more than one occasion. It’s a “friends to friends with benefits” story and we’ve seen this trope before, so you may think you know what’s coming, BUT you’d be WRONG. The conflict facing this “friends to friends with benefits to possibly love” couple COMPLETELY came out of left field for me in the best way.
Holy HOTNESS! This was my first book by this author and I was not disappointed. However, I definitely need to read book 1 in this series because even though this could be read as a standalone I need Alexis and Preston’s book just so that I can have the full picture.
Two strong, independent characters come together in what they plan on being a no strings attached hook up. The problem is when one of them starts wanting more and the other one is scared to let anyone get that close.
This book had me hooked dying to know how things were going to work out. There were hilarious laugh out loud moments as well as some more serious ones. This book has great writing, an interesting story line, some fun characters and some seriously steamy moments. You will want to grab this one ASAP!

Me when I read this and it turned out to be as sweet and irresistible as candy INSERT HAPPY LANA GIF
“Every now and then, the stars align
Boy and girl meet by the great design
Could it be that you and me are the lucky ones?
Everybody told me love was blind
Then I saw your face, and you blew my mind
Finally, you and me are the lucky ones this time.”

What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Hunter is a bonfide playboy. In female form, Lauren is the same. When these two not so polar equals meet, sparks fly and arrangements are made. However, Hunter starts wanting more, but Lauren is keen on keeping him at a distance.
This is my first Jenna Hartley read. I can hereby confirm that it was a wonderful read. An easy, fun and romantic read – exactly my type of romantic read, actually. No strings attached type of relationship, bad-ass leading OLDER lady (I yearn for those romances, if you have any other recommendations, THROW THEM MY WAY, I beg you) and a charming guy who’s trying to figure out what emotional path he wants to take in his life. I enjoyed reading both POVs and I immediately empathized with the both of them. The author used lots of hooks (I hope that’s what they’re called) and managed to get me invested from page one. I loved the friendships and family relationships, watching it all unfold with immense amusement. Next to the interactions with others, the interaction between the two main characters was glorious. The chemistry was intense. The steam was real and exciting. Their early back and forth was exquisite.
I recommend this story to anyone who loves friends with benefits, intense chemistry amongst a man and a woman who are equally sexually liberated and captivating main plots and subplots.

…
Wow! Firstly, I love Hunter. Second, I adore Lauren. Full disclosure: be prepared to have your heart explode by this charming pair. They will give you all the feels, while simultaneously turning up the heat index with their (off the charts) chemistry. I really love Jenna’s writing style. She creates smart, funny heroines that make women feel good. Don’t know about you…but sometimes it gets weary reading leading ladies with zero backbone, or edge to them. Lauren’s got edge all right; likewise charm, pizzazz…the whole nine. I also like her flaws which made her feel real to me.
Now, Hunter was an a$$. A gorgeous a$$ who has the wealth and charisma to back up his ego. Beneath all that the man has yummy layers you wouldn’t suspect him having.
He and Lauren, were a funny duo to watch. They screamed independence but (when met with the prospect of love) had trouble hiding their feelings. Will Hunter and Lauren’s verbal agreement of ‘no-strings-attached’ sex turn into something more? Or will they take the cowardly road of leaning on the subsidiary wall they’ve built. Find out with your copy of this amazing book. You won’t be disappointed.

Lauren and Hunter live by the same philosophy work hard, play harder. Lauren is an independent woman that built her interior design firm from the ground up. She has trust and commitment issues, so she evades anything that resembles a relationship. Hunter lives his life in a similar way. He is the embodiment of the eternal bachelor and does not sleep twice with the same woman. A fortuity encounter brings them together at Target, and after it seems as if the universe conspires to make them appear in each other’s presence all the time. Sparks flies and the sexual tension is through the roof. So they agree to a monogamous relation of just sex without the inconvenience of feelings. The stories just fly, and found myself enjoying the banter and sexual innuendos of this couple. I loved how unaware they were of their feeling for each other, and the compromises that they did to make their relationship flourish.

~REVIEW~
The Quick and Dirty: What starts as a friends-with-benefits, no-strings-attached relationship between two notorious “players” turns into something more.
Lauren is a fiery, strong, and sexually independent entrepreneur whose dalliances with men are hot but short. She’s not interested in entanglements, especially considering her history with the opposite sex. When she meets Hunter though, she’s surprised by their instant chemistry and it rattles her normally cool-as-a-cucumber persona. It isn’t until fate puts him in her path a second and third time, the latter when he shows up in her office as a client, that things really start to heat up. Hunter, also a notorious playboy and entrepreneur, convinces Lauren that they can both scratch the itch with each other without strings attached. While it starts off as friends-with-benefits, the more time they spend together, feelings that they both swore off get stronger and stronger and they are powerless to resist them. Just when things seemed to be going well, secrets are revealed, and it’ll take more than just their amazing chemistry to pull them back together.
These two characters. . They’re my favorite of Jenna’s couples so far. I love how Lauren is a boss babe and handles all aspects of her life without the need for a man; that her relationship with Hunter isn’t about needing him but wanting him. She’s independent and he complements her without stifling it. And Hunter. He’s my new book boyfriend: that playboy with a golden heart that met his match and will stop at nothing to get her. **swoon** The chemistry between the two was electric and the sex . The banter between them was witty and the plot twists kept things fresh and interesting. The story flowed well and while I wasn’t 100% sure about one of the story’s conflicts, it ended up working out and left me satisfied at the end. I am absolutely champing at the bit to get my hands on the next book in the series!

Jenna Hartley Irresistible: An age gap romance (Love in LA Book 2)
Hunter and Lauren! Jenna Hartley has left me with all the emotions about this story. I was addicted at page one when Lauren basically tells the guy he is replaceable. Who doesn’t want to be the confident girl?
Lauren is EVERYTHING many women want to be, confident, independent, in control of her life. She knows what she wants, and nothing will stand in her way. She isn’t a man hater by any means, she doesn’t want to give a man control of her life. Hunter is hot, single, owns his own company, and doesn’t sleep with the same woman more than once. So, a chance encounter at Target has both of their lives turned upside down.
The attraction and chemistry between these sizzles off the page. Hot banter between them makes the story. They both agree to the rules no lies, no feelings, just sex. They may be the perfect couple on paper. Lauren is the interior designer, designing Hunter’s recently purchased home. Their relationship is full of sexual innuendos and flirty comebacks from the moment they met at Target.
The development of their relationship and how it happens on its own bring a more organic coming together for them. I love how they each are fighting their feelings and refusing to admit them. Hunter was more than she bargained, and I am sure Lauren is ready for it. They were two lost souls, who came together to form a perfect union.
Irresistible is beautifully written with a fantastic lineup of characters. Hartley had me at the start with Hunter and Lauren. I highly suggest you add this to your TBR list. It is an amazing story line. It isn’t full of tropes making it a very smooth and easy read. I would give Irresistible a 4/5 stars!
I was done playing games. I liked winning, and I was used to getting what I wanted, when I wanted it. and I wanted this woman
Lauren is a successful independent woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. She is a career driven, strong, sexy, fierce woman who is not looking for a serious relationship but loves indulging in fun no strings attached sex
Hunter has always loved women, he just doesnt fall in love with them. After a bad hookup as well as trust issues based on women only wanting him for his wealth and name he becomes very picky on who he lets in his bed. A chance meeting with a sassy, confident and gorgeous woman leaves him with not being able to keep her off his mind
No liesNo feelingsJust sex easy right?
Yet again Jenna Hartley has delivered another beautiful, bold and female postive book that I devoured and could not put down. I loved both of these characters especially Lauren. She was powerful, in control, stong minded but also vaulnerble. The sexual tension and chemistry between Lauren and Hunter was everything. They both made me laugh and smile. I hurt for them and with them but in the end my heart was left feeling content and full. Ugh that ending so very perfect and so very fitting for these two.
I love Jenna’s writting style and can not wait for more books by her.
Has Lauren finally met her match when she meets target guy ??
They are much closer to solving the riddle of who the other is than they think.
Lauren is a sassy tough independent business woman with a fierceness to know she doesn’t want a man staying the night or being in a relationship with her ..
Hunter is just down for a good time can you blame the guy for having commitment issues when he gets used for his status .
But the journey these two will have to get through …
I love how Lauren finds her unicorn client and more.
5 stars beautifully written amazing chemistry and believable conflict …
You know that saying “What’s your kink is not my kink”? This book is my kink and trust me it’s your kink, it’s everybody’s kink. Why you ask? Well the obvious answer is because it’s an incredibly well written contemporary romance book, but ultimately it’s because it’s so much more than that.
Hunter and Lauren are two highly successful, driven, people. They are both sexual creatures and they own their sexuality. However, life is all about learning and growing and both find themselves rethinking some of their life choices. It is at this precise moment that their worlds collide.
How can two such similar people NOT be attracted to one another? The answer is simple – they are and it’s hot and it’s exactly what great romance books are made of. Hunter and Lauren try and fail to resist each other, but the heart and sex organs, want what they want, and these two want each other.
In this book, Jenna Hartley takes you on an incredibile journey as you watch to imperfect people fit perfectly together and prove that love is irresistible. TBR this fantastic book And if you haven’t read “Unexpected” TBR that as well. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
Two people clinging to their independence, each for their own reasons, avoiding relationships like the plague. A meet cute in Target of all places leads to an incredible love story between Lauren and Hunter. The old adage “You don’t go to Target because you need something. You go to Target and let Target tell you what you need” holds true here in the most hilarious way!
What starts as a simple, yet steamy friends-with-benefits arrangement because increasingly complicated as Lauren and Hunter grapple with the emotional baggage weighing on them. The strict lines keeping them strictly sexual slowly begin to unravel and leave them scrambling to confront their feelings head-on.
This story was not only romantic, funny, and sexy – it was also a refreshing concept. In addition to an inverse age gap (Lauren is 10 years older than Hunter), Jenna has crafted nuanced characters that grab your attention and keep surprising you. Lauren is a career-driven, assertive woman in charge of her sexuality. She is strong in a way few heroines are – she isn’t just sassy or quick-witted, she is also unafraid of going against the grain and chasing what she wants relentlessly. Hunter is equally driven and determined and their dynamic is one that exists on truly equal footing.
Rounding out the awesome factor of this book is the side relationships – Lauren has a circle of friends that support and uplift each other and Hunter has close relationships with friends and family of his own. They are their own people with full, robust lives outside of their relationship. It makes Lauren and Hunter – and their connection – more robust and engaging.
The story keeps the twists coming and the main characters are able to overcome the obstacles in front of them in a mature, sensible manner. It isn’t always quick or easy but they are able to take a step back, cool off, and come back together and address their issues through honest communication.
Irresistible is a smart, sexy, unapologetically feminist romance novel that embraces healthy expressions of sexuality in all forms. Read it if you want to be captivated by an amazing story that has laughs, sensuality, and romance.
