Janessa: I’ve been in love with Seamus since the day I met him, even though I’d been fourteen at the time. Now that I’m an adult, I’m ready to go claim my man. Maybe I was stupid thinking he’d wait for me, or maybe I just really wanted a fairytale ending. Seeing another woman in his arms hurt like hell, so I ran…straight into trouble.Irish: I met a girl years ago one who had me spellbound despite … spellbound despite her young age. I kept my distance, knowing it was so damn wrong to be attracted to her, but looking in her eyes I could tell she had an old soul. Now she’s back and all grown up, so what did I do? Something stupid. I kissed another woman. When I hear Janessa’s been attacked, it feels like someone has ripped out my heart. Whatever it takes, I’ll make it up to her, and I will get justice for her one way or another.

I adore this series. Finally we get Janessa and Irish aka Seamus’ story. They had a connection when Janessa was just a child. Seamus fights his feeling and become a little wild fighting those feelings. When Janessa comes back into his life after 5 years, how does he handle it? not in a good way. After a tragic even Seamus becomes what every other man in the Devil’s Boneyard MC with significant others has, a protective, loveable, and caring man. Can they work it out? will she forgive him? This maybe a short story, but it is suspenseful, fun, flirty, and oh so HOT.
Irish and Janessa were first introduced way back in Tex of the Dixie Reaper series (you dont need to have read it but it’s a good book so I recommend you do! It might also help explain some of how the heroine acts) Janessa was 14 and visiting the Boneyard with her father and stepmother hiding out from trouble when she first saw Irish who was a prospect at the time. Five years later Janessa is still in love with the older guy she was crushing on and she goes off to find him only to find Irish doing something stupid. Janessa runs off and gets hurt and Irish realizes what he did and tries to fix it while also protecting Janessa. Janessa is a bit naive and Irish is a bit of jerk but together they are a really sweet couple who felt a connection with each other instantly (not in a creppy way.)
i LOVED IT!
This series just keeps getting better. We meet Irish in a previous book and he’s kind of a quiet guy who is in love with Janessa a girl he thinks he’ll never be able to have because not only is she the daughter of a Dixie Reaper but she much younger than him but the first time they met they were feet over ass in love with each other. Irish/Seamus wants to wait for her to come of age and Janessa knows in her heart that Irish is the only man for her. Then 4 years later Nessa comes of age but Irish decides she’s deserves better than him and goes on a f**k her out of his system rampage and makes quite the reputation for himself as the guy who lays um and leaves um. Nessa is absolutely heartbroken that Irish never came for her and decides to go to him but what she finds is definitely not what she expected. What happens to Nessa broke my heart. I was crying and praying someone would show up. As the story goes I was so engrossed that before I knew it, it was 4 in the morning and the story was over. And again the book was too short. Don’t get me wrong, you get a complete story filled with excitement and angst, laughter and tears and a wonder ending but it will most definitely leave you wanting more. I EXTREMELY recommend this series to everyone.
I knew from the moment that Janessa met Irish all those years ago that he had the potential to hurt her. I hoped that the years would give him perspective and show him that she was what he needed. Unfortunately, he let his fear get in the way. When she shows up at the clubhouse after he didn’t come to her, he makes a huge mistake and it is Janessa who pays the price. He is really lucky that she is so sweet, that’s all I’m saying. But he quickly sees the light and sets out to make things right. That is what I love about Harley’s boys, they always (sometimes longer than others) make up for their mistakes. Super fun and as always the emphasis on family, loyalty, support and doing what’s right make me wish I could live in their world sometimes. Can’t wait for more Devil’ Boneyard!
Young love, what can you say? They went through a little hiccup going in the relationship but over all they prevail with lots of good surprises along the way, love Irish and Janessa
