Gaia and Raoul have recovered from the poisoning, but the assassination attempt has fractured their relationship beyond repair. Dominique has lost his mother, his crew, and his purpose, and is trying not to lose his sister, while playing a dangerous game with the Governor. Salim has confessed his treason and has threatened to eradicate Kayamato with the release of a deadly disease, unless he’s … disease, unless he’s given reigning power.
Beneath it all, Antione’s obsession simmers as he moves his final pieces into place.
Will the players be able to fight their individual threats by coming together, or will they be picked off, one at a time, one after the other?

I finished this book in one sitting, because I just couldn’t put it down. The amount of twists and deception that took place and the ruthlessness of our antagonists were so perfectly scripted I was holding my breath waiting to see what happened next.
My biggest issue is why did we get left with this ending? My poor heart was ripped out after a death and it made me almost stop reading. There could have been better ways to pull emotions from readers that didn’t end this way.
Intricate Obsessions picks up right where book 2 ends. Gaia, Raoul and Dominique’s story gets more intense. The suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat right up to the end. Rayes dropped so many surprises throughout this series you just never know what to expect. Love the characters and really hoping that Dominique gets the girl. I am hoping there will be more to this series!
“It’s ok.” Emily clutched Gaia’s hand. ”Feel the fear, let it pass through. Don’t let it control you.”
Intricate Obsessions is full of drama and action, my favourite of the series so far. More characters are introduced and the storyline is pulling together with so many hidden intricacies. So when is the next book due for release, because I need it today?
Salim is evil and is hell bent on serving revenge on his nephew. He has created chaos with the release of a deadly virus. Raoul stands by his people, refusing to flee to safety. Dominique will do anything for Gaia including capturing one of her enemies…Salim the person who poisoned her. However he does not return him to Ica and Gaia so she can have her hearing in court. Cracks are beginning to appear in their relationship and Gaia is having panic attacks. Carlos was still at large and proving to be impossible to convict. Raoul was devastated that Gaia had pushed him away, but he was still trying to find evidence to charge Carlos.
This book was packed with deceit, wrong doing, action, murder, and twists from the first page to the last. There was not one dull moment in the read. As Gaia sets her mind to save the survivors she makes many enemies. Can a group of people come together to rid the evil in the Kingdoms.
You do need the to read the first two books in this series but the book is best going in with no spoilers. I will say that is was non stop and you did not want to stop reading until the end. This book will put your emotions to the test. That ending — whoo.
Intricate Obsession is the third book in this series and it picks right up at the ending of book two. Like book two, Intricate Obsession. Is so much better than the previous books. Characters are well formed, storyline is amazing, and the twist and turns keep coming!
Gaia’s character has continued to grow. She’s developed into a strong lead in the series who isn’t afraid to go up against the traffickers and bring them to justice. The chemistry between her and Dominique continues to develop but she also has some underlying feelings for Raoul still.
The ending of the book is amazing! The unanswered questions have me excited for the next book!
WOW – Edge of your seat thrills!!!
Book three is intense, suspenseful, surprising and filled with edge of your seat thrills. We finally get some resolution and answers to who did what and why but then we are again given new plots to think about and new evil to contend with. It’s an amazing book from start to finish.
Gaia is struggling a bit with her determination for justice and all of the damaging setbacks she keeps facing with every step she takes to ride Ica of evil. Emily is there to help her face her darkness and fear. This little girl has faced evil and has lived through it giving her the ability to face adversity and to help Gaia.
“Feel the fear, let it pass through. Don’t let it control you.”
Gaia is determined to destroy her enemies who seek to eliminate her before she is able to take down their depraved empires. She has new allies that help and want to protect her. But I am left wondering if Gaia will resolve her issues with Dominique and Raoul. Who is going to be the victor in the race to win Gaia’s heart?
Once again the story moves fast but no less thrilling than the first two books. We finally have some answers to our questions and finally evil individuals get what they deserve. Its an intense rollercoaster ride of emotions that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The ending will shock you and leave you begging for more.
Bring on book 4. Highly recommend this series.
So this book is when you finally get some answers. Thru the other books you were left wondering about a LOT of things! I think there may be another book coming after this one tho. Mainly because there is some unfinished business at the end. I do wish for some more heat between Gaia and her two guys. I feel like that would take this book to another level, but I do have to admit the world building and story line definitely keep you interested no matter what.
The plot thickens, and the suspects multiply. This is one ending I didn’t see coming. You don’t know what to think about Dominique and Raoul. What is the story behind each of these men? I am still unclear what I think of either man and their motives. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
I read and reviewed a copy of this book.
This is a wonderful series that has to be read in order, this is book 3. There are more points of view from different characters included in this book that add a further layer of suspense and mystery to the story. I can’t say enough great things about this amazing story. The author has left this book with an ending that also leaves it open for another book. I certainly hope there is going to be another book with some if not all of these wonderful characters in it. This certainly an author and a book/series that is well worth the time to read.
This is book three in the Intricate Series and must be read in order.
I loved this book. It has everything that made you fall in love with the Intricate Series and so much more. It includes all of the character we love, the ones we hate and some we weren’t sure what to think about. More secrets are revealed as the war continues and others are started. Not everything is as it may seem and with enemies continuing to attack them things get much worse before the can begin to get better. Kidnappings, death, destruction, heartbreak, and so much more.
A Queen, a Prince, a Pirate and all of their friends and foes are facing battles from multiple angles in this phenomenally written continuation of Gaia’s story.
Picking up where Book #2 left off. More POV from different characters. Some questions answered. More questions arise.
Well edited.
The rift between Gaia and Raoul remains. Dominique continues to try to help Gaia. Some answers are found, more are asked. The answer to who bought Gaia and why is revealed. We still don’t know exactly who is the Governor of the island of criminals. Is it someone we’ve met? Is it someone new? Who is the ultimate kingpin? Also, while Salim has been imprisoned for his crimes, he is not done plotting.
Still little in the way of romance. However, Gaia has feelings for both Raoul and Dominique. Raoul is working through his anger and hurt. Dominique thinks he is not really good enough for her. Which one is the future for her? What secrets do they both hold. While on of the Villains is gone, still more remain. There must be much more to come. So many questions needing so many answers. Enjoy!
