First, this book continues on, so no HEA, with that being said… I really liked this adventure 7 Wardens series, loved the romance and the characters and plot. I was highly disappointed in the fact that the book ended! It is a must read, now I have to be patient and wait for the next book to come out to find out what happens. Okay, I’m addicted to this adventure series, just when I think the book is wrapping up, it ends for another adventure and a wait! Sigh, I love the characters and the steamy scenes. Interesting this is where Macey meets Amber, how the two of them fight together to get free of the Voice with the help of a little fury friend. Still trying to figure out why Izban is so crouchy and irritable with everyone, perhaps that will be explained in another book.

I’ve read a lot of books written by Laura Greenwood; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is part of the Seven Wardens Series; the story continues from the previous book. Macey is a kelpie that has been kidnapped and is held prisoner along with Amber, she decides she not going to wait to be rescue; she’ll do it herself.

Fantastic continuation of the Wardens quest. Old teammates, new friends, more danger, mystery, twists, and surprises. Macey improved from book 1 (in my mind), though she still seems a little childish sometimes. She learns that all is not always as it seems, and what she thinks she knows or has been taught, is not necessarily true. Engaging and entertaining. I am looking forward to the next book.

Macie and Amber are both kidnapped and work together with a little friend to get out and back to their friends. Love the mythology that is brought into the storyline. The characters keep getting better and more defined, with intense feelings and emotions. Plenty of surprises and twists to keep you on edge.

“A kelpie, an incubus and two wraiths walk into a bar…
Things were going so well until Macey got kidnapped. Again.”
Into the Mists picks up where From the Deeps left off with Macey awakening in a cell after being kidnapped (AGAIN!) by Malan (AKA The Voice). This was narrated by Angus Yellowlees and between his ability to differentiate between voices and species of characters … there is no one I would rather hear tell this story.
This is an action packed plot with intriguing characters you want to follow through their journeys and a world that is vividly built!
Macy is kidnapped again and trapped in a loop. Breaking out of her prison she needs to overcome one side of the Darkness.
Once she realises what needs to be done she is back with a vengance. Finding her mates and another warden, they just need to figure out what a warden does.
The second book of a 7 book epic series, it continues from INTO THE DEEP, full of andventures and a mild RH story.
Well-written and entertaining.

‘Into the Mists’ is the second book in the “Seven Wardens” series and picks up where “From the Deeps” left off. Macey is kidnapped (again) and locked in the same prison as Amber, the Lightning Warden, by the evil Voice. Poor Amber is being tortured with mind games being played over and over until Luch, a talking mouse becomes quite helpful in their escape. Amber is reunited with Jared, Cam, and Flint, her Wardens, and Amber is back with Izban so they can once again focus on their mission. The adventure isn’t finished yet as Selkies are pulled into this. Each of these characters has such vivid personalities and our authors have described their interactions fabulously. What imagination! I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Becoming trapped and placed in a dungeon by The Voice, Macey is trying to figure out how to get out of her cell. When she is finally taken from her cell and up a long flight of stairs, down a dark corridor then outside to a courtyard. The Voice starts talking to her and soon Amber is also brought to the courtyard. This story includes a lot of danger and violence, both physical and mental, plus includes plenty of romance with much steam and ends with a cliffhanger.

How does Macey get herself into these situations? Poor girl just cannot seem to catch a break when it comes to being kidnapped. Unlike last time she was kidnapped this is not going to turn out well as the motives here are very clear and are definitely not good. I liked Macey because she was not the type of woman to sit back and wait for a strapping man (or in her case men) to save her, she is independent, strong and very clever. I really enjoyed that the story carries on so fluidly from the first book and the addition of some colourful characters was also clever.

Captives of the Voice . . .
Continuing on from the previous book, Macey was kidnapped and locked in a prison by the evil Voice. Amber, the Lightning Warden, is also held captive there and being tortured with mind images played over and over. Luch, a talking mouse, is a surprise addition and quite helpful in making sure Macey and Amber escape.
When Macey is reunited with her wardens, Jared, Cam, and Flint, and Amber is back with Izban, the wardens turn again to their mission. They encounter something wrong with the Staran and the Wardens must figure it out when they are reunited. Macey, a kelpie, will even get saved by Ronan, a selkie, and we have already heard how those groups hate each other. They find that lies have been spread to make both groups look bad to each other, and sometimes things are not what they seem. It’s good to keep an open mind. Grab your copy and keep up with this amazing story line. The characters are so well drawn to show us their personalities and let us see how they interact. It all enhances the reading and imagination, which is perfect in a story like this.
It’s great this starts right where book 1 left off. The editor needs to go through this one more due to some repetition of some feelings and phrases. The story is progressing really well between the female and male characters and now we have Aunt Nessie. It was sad to see a character go but it was done well. I look forward to book 3.

In the second book you meet new characters and find out what is hurting the Staran. You also getting to know the characters better and are rooting for them. I enjoyed the second book and would recommend it. This series is starting to come together and you are learning about the different mythological characters.

Good continuation of the series. The story keeps you interested and I love the Scottish mythology that is wrapped up in the story.
This is the second full book of the Seven Wardens series and sees Macey having gotten comfortable with her three men, although Jared is an incubus and Cam and Flint are both wraiths, who allow the others to travel along the Staran. At the end of the first book, the four have found Izban, with the assistance of the cat-man, but the Voice manages to take Macey. She had begged them not to try and find her if that happened, as the Voice had already informed her that it only needed four Wardens for whatever it had planned! What she finds in the dungeon cage she has been thrown into, is another young woman who is clearly being tortured and is obviously the Lightening Warden they are meant to rescue. Macey also meets a small mouse that can talk to her, who prefers to be called Luch. The Voice has been pushing a particular nightmare, as well as lots of awful memories, to Amber as part of their torture of her. One shows her how she is going to die, repeated often and repeatedly.
When Macey is pulled up to a courtyard, she sees Amber under the Voice’s control and Amber is told to kill her, but still has a little bit of her own self still able to work in her mind. The Voice’s plan for her and Amber is not good news and his plan is even worse for all the worlds and their life forms. He has taken on the legend of the devil, as known by many in different forms, but none of them truly know what he is nor how to defeat him! Macey is determined to fight her own way out of her prison, rescue Amber and reunite with her men. She’s a Princess and thinks she can do without men having to come to her rescue. Amber and Macey have a fight on their hands, but are lucky to have made a friend in Luch, who is not quite what they seem. There is a problem with the Staran, surrounded in mists, but being affected by something and the Wardens must first figure out it out, once they are all reunited. Macey also gets saved by Ronan, a selkie, the absolute enemy of the kelpies. It seems like lots of lies have been spread about each of them and how dangerous they all are. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
The next novel is this series picks up with Macey in a dungeon cell after she has been kidnapped. She meets Amber there and they have been told that they need to hurt each other. They are both Wardens and don’t want to it. They manage to escape but at a cost. They meet up with Cam, Flint, Jared and Izban at a bar alongside her aunt Nessie. The Wardens are together and they must find the enemy in order to save the world. Along the way, they must save others. Will Macey and her fellow Wardens be able to save the world or will it get more complicated?

Into the Mists is the second book in the Seven Wardens Series. It’s a supernatural reverse harem story. You must read these books in order. If you haven’t read book one, I highly suggest you go read it before starting this one. This review will assume you’ve read the first book so if you haven’t, back away from this review since it’ll mostly likely have some book one spoilers.
This book picks up where book one left off. Macey and her three mates (Cam, Flint and Jared) have teamed up with Izban to find Amber who is being held captive by Mahoun the evil that Macey’s been calling the Voice. Unfortunately, at the end of book one the Voice captures Macey. The journey continues as they all try to make sense of what is happening and what role the Wardens play in ending things and stopping evil from destroying everyone. This book ends without a big cliffhanger but the story not completed. I’d say happy for now with more of the story still to be told.

The second book in the Seven Wardens series, another good story in this series. Macey got kidnapped again, there is so much going on. I want to read the next book. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Our heroine is kidnapped again, but this one is for nefarious purposes. No time to wait for rescue here.
This is book two of the series, but it works pretty well as a standalone. All the essential bits are covered early on.
This is a paranormal romance story with a reverse harem theme and a dose of Scottish folklore thrown in for good measure. The story is well written and easy to read as I would expect. The characters and setting are also well developed and quite intriguing, almost as much fun as the plot itself. I particularly liked the Scottish elements seeded throughout. Speaking of the plot, it is a good one including plenty of mystery, twists and turns to keep things interesting. All together, this made for a fantastic read and I look forward to reading the next book of the series.
Highly recommended.

This is the second book in these series and picks up where the first book leaves off. I absolutely love Macey and her man, and I really enjoyed Amber. There’s secrets and twists that kept me glued to the pages. It gives us a clue of the types of enemies the series will concur. We have new and old characters along with new relationship dynamics.
You don’t want to miss this series, it’s fantastically written, filled with humor, and keeps you on the edge. I really enjoyed this one to.
