I used his body to forget the pain until the line we drew was buried under muddied water.
I used to believe in three things:
That true love only existed once, heartbreak couldn’t kill you, and everything happened for a reason.
But if that were true, I never would have watched Daniel McCray get married to another woman, have a beautiful baby girl, and pass away before my very … eyes.
Everything I believed was a lie.
Until I met them.

This emotional, heart wrenching story will break you, make you an emotional, steamy mess and then put you back together with each amazing word on page. Another amazing installment of romance by B. Celeste.
When B. Celeste presents another book, I am absolutely floored by her ability to make you feel so much emotion. This beautiful tale of heartbreak, second chances, and getting everything you ever wanted will absolutely make you melt with emotion. Her writing is a absolutely flawless and completely enthralling.
This book takes situations In life we find ourselves in, and brings to light the emotions and feelings involved. We all long for the love that is portrayed in this book. I had no ide a what to expect, but I was absolutely blown away!!
Easton, carter, piper and ainsley play such amazing, intriguing parts in this book. You will laugh, cry, what to pound their heads in, and have to take breaks because the frustration is real folks. Their story is amazing and heartbreaking, emotional and will break your heart. It is a must read so you can experience B. Celeste in all her amazing glory.
Wow. I felt like this was a really heartbreaking story and got teary-eyed a few times. I don’t know why I waited to read this because I absolutely loved B. Celeste’s other books, The Truth About Heartbreak and The Truth About Us
SPOILERS AHEAD:
Piper was in love with her best friend from childhood, Daniel, but he never loved her back in that way. He got married to Willow, had a daughter, Ainsley, and his wife died during childbirth. A few years later, Piper and Daniel sleep together and he leaves her apartment saying what happened between them was a mistake. Piper begged him not to go, he left, and got into an accident due to the storm. He died and since Piper was Ainsley’s godmother, she got custody of the three year old.
Ainsley became selectively mute and Piper tried her best to take care of her. She got a roommate, Easton, and they eventually had a “roommate with benefits but don’t talk about it” sort of thing.
Carter comes into the picture. He’s Piper’s older brother’s friend from childhood, who was also sort of friends with Daniel too. He was 10 years older and now so happens to be her professor.
You can see where this is going….
Honestly, I felt so heartbroken for Piper with her love for Daniel. I felt how devastated she was, both about Daniel’s death, the fact that she loved him for the longest time, that she couldn’t move on, that he said their night was a mistake, everything.
I also felt heartbroken about Carter. I was so sad for him at the end. God…. I want his story now. I want to see him have a happy ending.
All in all, this was a great read and the epilogue hinted toward a possible book between Ainsley and Milo. PLEEEEEASE write that book. I need more!!!!!
I went into this book knowing there was going to be a love triangle. Not my favorite kind of books to read. But I like this author and I wanted to give it a chance.
Right from the beginning I already knew who I was rooting for. This story was about Pipper and 3 guys! 2 from her past and one in the present. Piper had to overcome a lot to let her past go and embrace her future.
This book is a slow burn. The lack of communication from 2 of the main characters was frustrating. I felt Piper and one of the love interest could’ve avoided a lot of heartache and maybe not danced around each other if they had just one simple conversation. All they needed to do was talk!
Piper was drowning with past memories. She blamed herself for things that wasn’t entirely her fault. But the results of what happened changed her life forever. It brought a cute little girl into her life Ainsley.
I was scared to read this book because of the whole love triangle thing. But I’m glad I did!! And I’m glad she ended up with the guy I was rooting for!!

Into the Clear Water is another contemporary, standalone romance with a bit of love triangle into it. The story is filled with angst and emotional journey of Piper, a graduate student who was awarded guardianship of her best friend’s daughter after a tragic accident.
All throughout the story, I was torn between the two love interests of Piper. In my opinion, they were both the right kind of man for her but of course, Piper has to pick the one who fills up the void in her heart. I loved the book and there were scenes in the story that had me thinking about life, family and sacrifices you do for love. The ending made me hope that there could be a spin-off story for Ainsley.

What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
She thought she’d only love once. Her heart broke when Daniel McGray got married to another woman and had a baby with her. Her heart was shattered when he faded away.
She thought she couldn’t love again until she met them.

B. Celeste knows how to work the waterworks. This was an angsty read from page one to the epilogue. The author knows exactly how to push a reader’s buttons. I related to a lot of the subjects treated in the story. Things that Piper went through resonated with me. I don’t condone some of her actions; probably because I was raised in a Greek household and some of the things Piper did were way TOO modern. But as I read on, I stopped judging her for it. I had a favorite and I was glad that my fav go the girl in the end (I won’t spoil it). I liked East; he had his broody mysterious guy moments that were ALL THAT. He wasn’t as charming with words as Carter, but that was his appeal at the same time. I liked Carter; he earned my respect and admiration. Piper’s complicated history with Carter and the rest of the people that have contributed to her current situation was heartbreaking. Piper already was a momma bear at the start of the story, but she brought out the lioness by the end. I admired and rooted for her so much. She had moments in which she SNAPPED. Normally, I don’t really pay that much attention to epilogues. They usually just exist to give an afterthought. THIS EPILOGUE, HOWEVER, HAD ME SCREECHING. My baby… I STAN THIS SHIP SO HARD.
I recommend this story to people who love an emotional read, gut-wrenching character situations and second chances. *also: this is in some ways a love triangle

WOW This book is extraordinary.
It held my emotions captive, they were all over the place I felt so conflicted. It gave me Joy,frustration, happiness and tears and I completely Loved it.
B Celeste writes such a beautiful tale her writing is impeccable, and I fell in love with the characters who were real and raw and believable, I was drawn to them and enthralled by them and this book just had me hooked. I thoroughly enjoyed travelling down this Rocky road with Piper and learning through her What a struggle she had to endure raising a child and going to school.Discovering who Broody Easton was (I Loved him ) …and equally sweet Carter and I am so glad that that I took a risk and read this book Love triangle included.
This was my first B.Celeste book and what a fantastic introduction to her work it was I can’t wait to read future stories and delve into her past books before this one.
This is a Superb read and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Six years ago, Piper Montgomery’s life irrevocably changed when she lost her best friend. Becoming a single mother was a transition, as she sacrificed her education, but Piper is back on track. However, because Piper is still tied to her past, she must learn how to see what’s in her present.
“People subconsciously attach themselves to things from the past. It’s their way of holding on to pieces of their old selves.”
As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Piper is a fighter and has risen to challenges, but she is stuck when it comes to her heart. To dig under the surface, Easton begins to show Piper true kindness and his observant yet broody demeanor is sexy as all hell. Together the steam factor is palpable.
Going into this book, I was unaware of the triangle dynamic and immediately the angst of the situation sets hold. From the start, I loved Easton’s natural way of quietly giving to Piper and Ainsley. As such, there were times when I wanted Piper to make certain realizations sooner. I adored the relationship between Piper and Ainsley and also the dudette and Easton. While I also liked Carter and felt for him, Easton was the one for me. All these circumstances definitely led to some serious page turning.
Into the Clear Water is a romance about breaking patterns and taking chances. This book would appeal to those who want to be immersed in a story with angst and emotion.
My heart went out to Piper. She suffered though heartbreak, twice, and got a souvenir. However, I think Ainsley helped piece her back together and move on. Loss wasn’t easy for the both of them. I don’t think Piper knew who to reach out for. It was like a double edged sword. Trying to forget one moment and trying to remember the next. There was much to come to terms with as she tried to better her life for herself and the precious gift she was given.
Once again B Celeste delivers what she does best…. a super emotional angsty love triangle that grips your heart and let’s it bleed over the beautifully written words that effortlessly flow across the pages.
Piper finds herself embarking on a journey she never could have dreamed she would ,now a single mother after the death of her best friend and the man that she loved and adored her life now revolves around ainsley and giving her the best life she can.
Easton is pipers house mate and after to much to drink one night they embark on a friends with benefits kind of relationship but soon feelings start to emerge just as a face from the past re enters pipers life causing old feelings to surface.
Another fantastic read from Barbara I cant wait for the next.
Went into this book ready for angst, heartbreak and a love triangle because hello its B Celeste and she’s all about the angst and Forbidden love.
I have to say that the book was definitely a slow burn and had the angst feeling to it but it didn’t hit as hard as her other books.
Pipers story is one of heartbreak, pain, finding acceptance and learning to be selfish sometimes. I enjoyed her character development throughout the novel. Even though there were times when I absolutely wanted to shake her and say his right in front of you!
Even though this is a love triangle I felt from the very beginning who she needed to end up with. Both men, total opposites and yet both of them give her something she needed at some point. Only one was what she really needed.
Easton and Carter are so different. Where one is light and open, the other is dark and closed off. Yet its pretty easy to see who brings her back to life.
The issue I had with this book was mostly that it was a slow burn, that could’ve gone a little different or took a different approach towards the end. Even though it was a little slow the ending wrapped up top quickly for me.
Besides that being said the characters and storyline was interesting and a good read.

Piper has carried the guilt of their last moments every single day. Never truly getting over the loss. Now she has not one but two men vying for her attention. But it’s not just her she has to think about, it’s Ainsley too.
B. Celeste is a phenomenal author. I have been completely obsessed with her words ever since I read The Truth about Heartbreak, and she continues to blow me away time after time. I have no idea how she does what she does but coming from someone who very RARELY cries while reading, the tears just continue to roll as I read her words. Into the Clear Water was an amazing read and the only thing that could have made it better was dual POV, but obviously, with the love triangle aspect, it would have been too telling.

Easton Wyatt is Piper’s sexy, broody, tattooed roommate with a troubled past. Easton is a quiet guy who doesn’t say much, but his actions scream what he can’t say. I am #TeamEaston ALL THE WAY! The way he is with Ainsley is what did me in. He adored his little Dudette and she adored him.

() : Piper Montgomery is an amazing heroine. Although there were several moments where I wanted to beg her to open her dang eyes, the love that shined through for Ainsley… She may not biologically be hers’s but Ainsley is her daughter and she fought tooth and nail for that little girl. Everything she did was for Ainsley and I admired Piper more for it. Into the Clear Water was really Piper’s story. Don’t get me wrong, we learned a bit about the leading men as well, but Piper and her journey to self-discovery, forgiveness, and moving on was the true journey.

: Piper’s story wraps up beautifully. Although I’m not going to spoil it, I will say that she winds up with EXACTLY who I thought she should from the very beginning, although I hope one day the other man gets his own happy ending… Piper was able to come to terms with her past and look forward to the future. Although there isn’t a cliffhanger, we do get a glimpse of Ainsley and Milo. I have a feeling I am going to adore their story and that Milo is going to be one heck of a leading man one day…

Right in the Feels! Into the Clear Water packs one h3ll of an emotional punch! It was earth-shattering! Celeste delivers another phenomenal read with this book! I will never get enough of her words! She strips her readers bare, and your heart is just a useless pulsing hunk of tissue and muscle fighting to keep it all together! I loved these characters so very much. Each one holds a special place in my heart. Each one has suffered through so much life. I’m still trying to piece myself and my thoughts together here. Piper connects with your soul. Everything she has gone through, everything she is still pushing through makes you bond with her. She is real and raw, the reader is locked inside these pages trying to cope with everything sounding her, it’s really a gripping read. I shed tears and found hope right there with piper and Ainsley. This is a story about unrequited love and loss, it’s a story about coping and healing, about finding love and making a life after a storm. Every character was important and gives a lesson through their eyes. Every time I settle down with a book from this author I know my foundation is about to be shaken. She never disappoints, It’s always a beautiful read to reflect on. I’m hoping there will be more for Ainsley and Milo. I’m a sucker for all of Celeste’s characters! I can’t wait to see what she has for us next! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. It was a little slower read for me than others by this author. I loved Easton’s character. I kind of wish the book had had some of his POV. Piper frustrated me a lot. I loved her devotion to Ainsley, but I feel like she really missed a lot of what was right in front of her. This book, for me, redeemed itself in the last quarter of the book. It took off and really captured my attention.

Into the Clear Water não é nada óbvio.

Into the Clear Water is not at all obvious.
Piper herself was a mystery. It took me time to understand her.
It also wasn’t clear with who she’d end up with.
In the end, she got with the one I wanted her to.
I adored ITCW.
Like or not love triangles, read ITCW.

You can always count on B. Celeste to bring the angst and emotion. Into the Clear Water was beautiful, heartwrenching, and unputdownable.
Piper had to deal with a lot throughout her life, and the way she she took responsibility of taking care of her best friend’s little girl after died. Seeing those two interact was perfection, they truly did need each other.
I loved the hero in this book. He was quiet, broody, thoughful, and reliable. There was never a question of who I thought Piper should be with. The way he was there for both Piper and Ainsley was swoony as hell.
I especially adored the epilogue. It would definitely be amazing if Ainsley had her own story told, but I’ll be excited for whatever B. Celeste has in store for us next.
B. Celeste did it again!! This book was so good. I was unable to put it down. Piper gave up a lot at a young age for something she didn’t plan for. Easton was just a roommate looking for someone to take away pain. Could they find happiness within each other?? You don’t want to miss this book. It will keep you wanting more.
I really loved Anisley. She was a sweet girl and I love that her role in this book was as important as it was. She was my favorite part. My heart broke for her and what she went though. It wasn’t only her that dealt with things that happened, Piper had a lot of regrets and my heart broke for both of them but I loved seeing them both come out in the end. The plot was good and while I struggled at times to stay engrossed, I was able to easily finish it.
Now to the not so good. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth to them. I wanted to reply like Easton because he seemed misunderstood, closed off, just different but I just couldn’t understand him. He came off as too cold, and not in a good, broody bad boy way. It wasn’t til the last 10% that felt like we got some real feeling from him. Then with Piper…… I liked her the best but at the same time I felt like I needed more back story with her. We little little clues here and there but it just didn’t feel like enough. Then we have Carter. I liked him well enough, but he was predictable. I was waiting for him to shock me, make me fall for who he was but that sadly never happened. Don’t take that as me not liking him because I did, I just wanted more from him.
Like I said, I really liked the story, just sadly it’s not my favorite by this author. It fell flat when all this authors other books knocked me out of the pack and made me feel with every fiber of my being. This one felt rushed and thrown together at times. I do plan to keep reading this authors books because one book doesn’t mean her other books didn’t impact me in some ways. I know that not every book is for every reader. 3 stars #2OCCJD
This story really warmed my heart which wasn’t the reaction I thought I’d have but am pleasantly surprised to get. Usually B. Celeste books get my emotions riled up in a more sad, heartbreaking way, but Into the Clear Water really lives up to its title and brings a wave of understanding and acceptance into your heart.
“There’s somebody for us in every situation, people we need in the moment.”
I’m not saying I didn’t get anxious or stressed about the love triangle (because I definitely did ), but the way B. Celeste has written this book makes the love conflict feel like a stepping stone to something greater. I think that’s true and that love helps not only others grow, but yourself as well and Piper is the perfect heroine to reach that end goal.
I’m proud of literally everyone in this book, which is definitely not something that usually happens, and especially Piper, Ainsley, and our man. Oh, boy do I LOVE OUR MAN.
Take the dive!! Easy 5 star read!!
(Not to mention that stunning epilogue oh my goshhhh )
WOW.
WOW.
I just cant even form words. B Celeste is a dream writer. This book was so unbelievably good. I was sucked in from the very first word. I could feel the anguish deep in Piper’s soul for her loss. OMG. Let me just say, I had to pause my reading at one point in the story. When it was the anniversary of Ainsley’s dads death and she said “daddy”. GOD. Even writing this review right now my eyes are welling up. I feel that in my bones. I have chills. My daughter lost her father to a car wreck. I have had to hold my daughter through the same exact moments. Same exact anniversary. Same exact everything. So when I read that, man, I could just feel Ainsleys pain through my own daughter’s eyes AND Piper’s pain through my eyes as a mother and that got to me hard.
Ok, now that we are over the emotional stuff, SHEEWWWWWW… hot diggity dog. The testosterone in this book. We got ourself Easton: sexy tatted up, broody and mysterious roomie. Then we have Carter: an older, sophisticated, brothers best friend professor. I mean, HELLO. BEST OF BOTH WORLDS HERE!!! Who does Piper choose?!?!?! This book straight up ripped me up and spit me out. I loved every single bit of it and OMG OMG OMG!!!!!! Once you get to the epilogue you get an awesome little surprise that makes you wonder….WILL AINSLEY GET A BOOK NEXT?!?!?! HERE IS TO HOPING! MAYBE A TEENAGE ROMANCE?! AAAGHHH 5 STARS OH MY GAHHH
A complex, thought provoking book that deals with second chances – at life and at love. This is an intense book that makes you wonder about first impressions. I was surprised how much i enjoyed this book and it’s spin on forgiveness. Really good read. Amazing job!
