The stunning conclusion to Parallel.Someone has torn them apart in the past, and she plans to do it again… Nick why she stopped using them in the first place.
He may never forgive her when he learns the truth, but Quinn is running out of options—because the clock is ticking, and it’s no longer just her life that hangs in the balance.

Whenever I’ve absolutely loved a book that is the first in a duet, there’s always the fear that the second book will just not live up to the promise, or will somehow fall flat in comparison. Let me say right away that this is definitely not the case for the books in the Parallel duet by author Elizabeth O’Roark. I couldn’t gobble down PARALLEL (Book 1) quickly enough, and, man, that ending had me feeling all kinds of ways. Would INTERSECT do the storyline justice? Would Ms. O’Roark bring her “A” game the way that she did with PARALLEL? Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes. INTERSECT picks up where PARALLEL left off, and doesn’t let up, and it is fabulous.
In my review for PARALLEL, I said that the answers that I so desperately wanted and needed were to come, and, indeed, those answers become clear in INTERSECT, although in a very Elizabeth O’Roark way. What does that mean? It means that this book was just as much of a whirling dervish of emotion, action-packed, and delicious in its delivery, and I could not put it down.
Another easy 4.5 stars, INTERSECT is everything that I hoped, and did not falter at all in the wrap-up of Quinn’s and Nick’s story. That being said, I would absolutely love to see more of these characters, to see their future unfold, and to get some explanations about a few things left a little bit hazy there at the end…Lucky for us readers, there’s a bonus epilogue that gives some answers, as well as THE MOON WE SHARE, another book in the Parallel universe, that will be coming our way soon. Until then, I cannot recommend The Parallel Duet any more highly. If PNR is your jam, grab these books and enjoy the heck out of them. You will not be sorry.
When my preorder of this book showed up on my Kindle at midnight, the rest of the world came to a screeching halt. I jumped in with both feet and got swept away in this book world, eager to see how Quinn and Nick’s story concluded. I was torn between rabidly reading through the pages and trying to savor every word to make the story last as long as possible.
Nick and Quinn’s love is epic, ageless and timeless, and their stunning story will stay in my heart forever. Between the beautiful romance, the tension, suspense and twists, and the contemplation of time travel and parallel lives, this one has left an indelible mark. This duet is easily in my top five reads for the year and is a story you won’t want to miss. Get your copy of this mesmerizing, magical, phenomenal read today!
The second book in this duet was even better than the first – and I loved the first one. I went through a wide range of emotions while reading this one: anger, excitement, confusion, contentment, shock, happiness, and more in between those.
This book perfectly wraps up Quinn and Nick’s complex love story, one that is full of more twists and turns than you could even imagine. Their love and passion for one another is more evident – and explored – in this book, along with the dangers that threaten to tear them apart when they just found each other again. I was totally engrossed in the storyline from beginning to end; just when I thought I might have sorted out the mystery that was spinning throughout the pages, another twist was thrown in that completely threw off my theory. Now THAT is a good book – one that keeps you guessing, keeps you surprised, keeps you reading.
While I was sad to see Quinn and Nick’s story end, I was so happy with how both books went. This duet is one of the best I’ve ever read.
One of the best sequels ever! Parallel was great, and Intersect was just as amazing! The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat and I loved every second of it! The ending just blew my out of the water – PERFECT! FIVE HUGE STARS!!
The next chapter in this achingly romantic saga does not disappoint! The introduction of interesting side characters and diving deeper into Quinn’s family history take us on an adventure that spans time and continents, revealing even more conundrums and unanswered questions.
Is anyone or anything as they seem? Who is Cecelia, really? Who is Rose? What about the time traveling woman hellbent on death and destruction? How does Dr. Grosbaum fit into this? Do Quinn and Nick save each other? Stay together? Have children?
How far would YOU go to save someone you love? Who is YOUR Achilles heel?
Cannot wait for more of these complex, next level characters.
I LOVED THIS BOOK! I LOVED THESE CHARACTERS! I LOVED THIS BOOK WORLD! This duet has easily moved to my TOP FAVORITE list for 2019!
After being left with the cliffy at the end of book 1, I was beyond anxious to read this second and final book in the duet. There were so many questions I was left with and I NEEDED to know how everything was going to play out. Were they going to live THIS life together after so many failed lives before??? I NEEDED them to find their HEA in THIS time!
It’s been a while since a story has brought tears to my eyes, but there were moments in this book that had tears trekking down my face. And that was due to a revelation/plot twist that had my heart swelling and plummeting at the same time (you will know what scene I’m referring to when you read it). This twist Elizabeth O’Roark has been building up to for an entire book and it finally was revealed and it was a heart stopping moment. I’m still shocked with it all and I give kudos to Elizabeth for laying bread crumbs the whole way to this revelation, but not making it so obvious you figure it out (at least I didn’t) until the moment it is revealed. In fact, most of her revelations were unpredictable, which I LOVE when I’m reading. I don’t want to be able to guess what’s going on, but I also don’t want to be left COMPLETELY lost. With both books, I was able to develop theories of how I thought things were gonna play out (which I was right about some and wrong about others) and I was able to understand what I was reading without having to reread parts. *round of applause* Truly, Elizabeth’s story telling with this duet is out of this world. Every time I had to stop reading, my mind would stay in that Nick & Quinn’s world.
This is how time traveling romance should be done! I could easily start this duet right back at the beginning and enjoy it all over again. Which is very tempting because now that I know how everything ends up, I want to reread all the breadcrumbs Elizabeth laid down and see what I missed! The angst and love is still there throughout this book and it’s still very much palpable. Nick and Quinn were explosive!*fans self* The slow burn continued to kill me slowly, but it was SO GOOD!
This duet consisted of everything that my book loving heart enjoys when I read: mystery, angst, and love. If this is a testament to how Elizabeth writes, then I WILL be reading more of her work. I said in my review for book 1, PARALLEL, that Elizabeth had the potential to execute this duet to it’s full potential and SHE DID JUST THAT! The way in which she executed the unraveling of the mystery of this storyline, was FLAWLESS! It can not be easy to write a time traveling story, where what you previously wrote, no longer applies because the characters altered it in the present time. Just trying to wrap my mind around that right now, feels mind boggling and confusing AF. LOL! But like I said, Elizabeth nailed it with this story! This is a binge worthy duet!
5 stars!
This is the second book in the series and they need to be read in order.
Quinn Stewart is dealing with the aftermath of finding out about her health condition and has vowed to live the life she wants and choose the man that she wants to be with. For Quinn that means following her dreams which leads her to Nick.
Nick Reilly is Quinn’s neurologist with a bond to Quinn that links them to a past life together but he
knows that Quinn is medically running out of time and he will do anything he can to save her.
But can they figure out the secrets of the past before it’s too late for Quinn? How far will Quinn go to save herself and those she loves?
This was such a great conclusion to the duet and I loved the twists and turns!
I was so proud of Quinn for putting her heart first at the end of the first book and deciding who she
wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Her ex Jeff was such a creep and in this book he definitely got creepier and I was worried about how far he was willing to go to get Quinn back.
Nick was determined to try and save Quinn in this book and he really didn’t care what he stood to lose with the threats that Jeff was handing out. His main priority was Quinn and trying to piece everything together.
When Nick went to Paris we were able to learn so much from Cecilia and things began to fall into place but there were so many questions still. I liked what Quinn was able to learn on her own and how she came afterwards so the two of them could figure out things together.
The events in Paris left us with some startling revelations and I was shocked about what we learned and everything behind it all. I was both happy and sad for it all!
I was scared at the end with the incident between Quinn and Darcy and grateful everything ended the way it did!
This was a great duet and very original which is awesome! Hopefully we get some more soon!

At last we finally get to read the conclusion of Nick and Quinn’s timeless love story, and thank goodness we didn’t have to wait too long. If you haven’t read Parallel 1 then I strongly advise you read it first because otherwise, a lot of book two will leave you in the dark.
This book picks up after Quinn’s recollection of the past with Nick and his twin Ryan. The ongoing pursuit of the elusive Sarah who may or may not be related to Quinn raised a lot of questions. Nick and Quinn’s relationship picks up speed and so is her medical condition, time is running out for her.
I must say that compared to book one which hardly had any steamy scenes between the two main characters (because they had different partners at the time) in this finale, the loved-up pair sure made a lot of heat. As the theme of the story is about time travel there are a few details that confused me a little but then time travel isn’t really logical and logic doesn’t apply to Quinn and Nick’s relationship.
“In this lifetime and all the other ones, I will only want you.”
Told in dual points of view, this book will leave you breathless, mostly from chasing Sarah who holds the key to Quinn’s past. Quinn’s character becomes more interesting as she develops into a stronger character emotionally. Nick, as expected, is the perfect and selfless hero who will do anything to make Quinn stay in his life.
The storyline will grip you from the first page until the last, making you savour every chapter because you don’t want their story to end. There are so many fantastical twists to this epic tale and the author doesn’t fail to provide you with a rollercoaster of emotions: the chills and goosebumps. It has been a long time since I have read paranormal genre and this book certainly makes me want to dip my toes in it again. Highly recommended!
Intersect was filled with so much intensity, spark and chemistry you will not want the story to end.
Quinn and Nick have to figure their futures out and how to steer clear of the apparent danger ahead of them. Nick is so swoon worthy… this man hand down loves Quinn. He accepted who she is and weathers the path with her.
This story was so unexpected and really filled my soul! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
This journey between Quinn and Nick just keep getting better and better! I can’t seem to get enough! Leaving off from the last book, the two continue to get bits and pieces of their past memories together while also continuing to explore their new relationship and the feelings that grow. The pair continue to grasp at what little bits they have, as well as continue to investigate and find out more and as much as they can to figure out what’s really going on and who’s after Quinn. An aspect about this book and the series as a whole how there are really two stories within the one book; the romance between Nick and Quinn, and the mystery of Quinn’s time travel in addition to who’s trying to kill her. I have to say that I did not expect the ending of this book, and found myself tearing up over who the person altering Quinn’s timeline actually was. I’m also so excited that this series is continuing because while there were some questions answered, I had so much more! The flow of the storyline was great and the continued establishing of it. I can’t wait to see where this story of Nick and Quinn goes next! – I’m so enthralled and can’t get enough!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I am totally in love with the series. Once I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. There’s still so much I need to know. So many questions. I need to see what happens next and am anxiously waiting for the next book.
