Kristy Marie brings all the feels in this heart wrenching, emotional journey of overcoming obstacles, and finding love in the most unexpected places. Blurb:Heartbreakingly beautiful and devastatingly annoying, Timaeus Lambros, a deaf, former military translator, has just been assigned as my co-teacher for the rest of the school year. His stupid-hot face gets on my nerves. So does his well-fitting … the rest of the school year.
His stupid-hot face gets on my nerves.
So does his well-fitting jeans.
Charming and gorgeous men like him should not be teachers. They should be locked away in a storage closet… with me.
But that’s just a teachers’ lounge fantasy with a big dreamy sigh attached.
Tim and I can never be a thing. He’s broody and closed off, while I’m the new owner of a one-way ticket back to Costa Rica, thanks to budget cuts.
But my abuelita always said life wasn’t a fairytale. So even if Tim does have a magical tongue and a dreamy body, we still might not get a happily ever after.
Praise for Interpreter:
Interpreter is a captivating, emotional and swoon-worthy romance with so much heart, and you’ll laugh, cry, smile, blush and probably swoon. Mary, Frolic
A heartwarming, emotional read that will having you laughing your heart out, give you chills and leave you breathless. Jenny, Queen of the Books
The intimacy between Milah and Tim is beautiful in the most pure way possible. I am referring to real all-encompassing intimacy. The way they connect is organic and fluid – they fill each other’s needs without even trying. They were so many scenes that left me in tears or with goosebumps from experiencing this with them. Our Dirty Little Kindles
Interpreter is an incredible and heartfelt read! Kristy Marie delivers an emotional book filled with laugh-out-loud moments, all the angst from a broody hero, witty banter, and so much sass from a strong Latina heroine! Sara N., Goodreads Reviewer
I loved watching the relationship with Milah and Tim develop. It was beautiful to see and very real-life-like. And this book will make you appreciate all 5 senses! Amber, Goodreads Reviewer
I love this crew! Like love them. One of the best cast of characters in a series! Tim was so heartbreakingly swoony. Milah was hilarious. Oliver! I can’t resist a kid. Pure romantic goodness to me soul. Sarah, Musings of the Modern Belle

Can I give 6 out of 5 stars?
Mr Broody, aka Tim, will always be my #1 book boyfriend.
When I was thinking this book couldn’t get any better, I listened to the audiobook. OMG, I’m not sure I can put into words how amazing this was with these two narrators. They were perfect! This story had me cracking up laughing where at times I was in tears and when I wasn’t laughing, I was falling further in love.
I stand by my original review of this book:
Whoa, what an amazing story! This was emotional and beautiful. The love, passion, and healing all crawls into your heart where you cannot resist being pulled in.
Tim, a handsome Marine Veteran, has been gradually losing his hearing over the years. It’s heartbreaking the struggles he goes through from this loss as it would be for anyone dealing with this. Tim’s demons go deeper than just not being able to hear those around him.
Milah, a sassy Latina teacher/interpreter, won’t put up with Tim’s stubborn self. She doesn’t allow him to wallow in his self pity. Tim and Milah make you laugh out loud and completely fall in love with them. They are just something else! You can’t resist them. When they meet, they also meet a special little boy named Oliver who takes over their hearts when they least expect it.
This certainly is such a heartwarming feeling good story. I know Drifter was my favorite in the series, but Interpreter certainly has a special place in my heart. I can’t say how much I recommend this book, it was truly wonderful.
This book… it had me from chapter one feeling all the feels. Wow. It was the perfect type of emotional book. But not something that was emotional in a bad way. I’m still a bit speechless after reading this book in one sitting.
We’ve had a glimpse of Tim from the previous books in the series so I couldn’t wait until I got to read his story. From chapter one, my heart strings we’re tugged on. My heart ached for Tim, but as I continued reading about his story, I fell more and more in love with this fictional character. He’s came through so much. As Tim learns how to maneuver his new life with one less sense, he gets pushed out of his daily routine. He meets Milah when he gets a job as a co-teacher in her classroom. He’s immediately smitten with her but it does take him awhile to come around and tell his story to her. Then we bring in sweet Oliver and my heart was a goner. Sign me up to be put in their world!
Milah has her own troubles that she has to work through, and I feel like they both gain strength from each other throughout the book. Even in times where they don’t realize they are doing it. I love that Milah doesn’t listen to orders and does her own thing.
The last 20% of this book had my heart feeling so much. I kept a smile on my face the majority of the time… and that epic ending/epilogue… gah! Loved it. We also get a few tidbits into the life of the previous characters too which made me happy as well. An overall happily ever after.
I really think if you want to pick only one book from this series, this one should be it. It gives you the appropriate feelings throughout the book but also gives you your happily ever after. This book isn’t something that you’d be used to either. Nice to read something different! I hope you love it as much as I did!
Humor in well-placed moments, heartbreak in others. I had smiles and frowns while reading.
Milah is a hoot. She’s definitely got sass and a crazy way of looking at life. Tim may be angry but his heart is huge and his lack of belief in himself was heartbreaking. Between the two there is so much love and compassion with intense intimate moments. And I really loved Tim’s journey. It wasn’t easy but the change was breathtaking.
The characters are flawed with obstacles to get to that HEA. Plus there are fantastic and fundamental side characters in Ms. Peak, Oliver, Pe and the crew. It’s a great group of characters. They are, no doubt, a family. And fingers crossed we’ll get more of them.
Tim and Milah’s story has quickly become one of my favorite romances! Tackling an issue of deafness and turning it into a beautiful story that reflects strength in it versus seeing it as a handicap brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion. Micah’ fiery nature was the perfect compliment to Tim’s broody soul and I was rooting from day one! I loved the banter between them and every single character made me smile! Great cast, phenomenal story and perfect ending!!
I finally got myself to finish this even though I didn’t want to see it end. Time with the family at the foundation is amazing and it always makes my chest warm a little when I see these goofballs mess around with each other while showing undeniable support and love. It’s what makes this whole series for me, but reading about Tim’s story and his meeting MIlah, who also has her own story, was just as nice.
Tim totally surprised me in Gorgeous so I was extremely excited to get into his head. While this book may not be the most tragic, it does deal with a real issue of being okay with what the world sees as handicaps and learning to see yourself as someone stronger for it. The writing was easy to get into and it felt more playful and easy-going, though the setting of an elementary school may have something to do with it. Tim and Milah’s story is VERY sweet and homey as it deals with music, relearning to feel again, and children. Adorable children you just wanna put in your pocket and keep safe forever and forever.
I thought a few things were more explained to us than having us go through it but I think it worked better for the pace’s sake, which was pretty fast until Tim got into his head, then time slowed down. I adored Milah’s support and how fast their families clicked. It was obviously important to Milah that her loved ones be accepted. And speaking of acceptance… while each hero gets his own individual story, I do feel like you should be reading these books in order. Not everything gets retold, and so what we don’t see here, like Tim’s silence and his struggle to realign himself with people, is something that strengthens his story, but you would only know that if you read the first book, or any of the others as all the guys slowly open up with every installment. Small stuff like that tugged at the back of my mind when I was wasn’t getting melted by Tim and Milah. And the jealously/rival was sort of subtle so as not to overwhelm too much of everything else already happening, but seeing as it also played a pretty big role in the climax, the whole thing then kind of felt like it wasn’t as… intense? Like it was so unimportant that when Tim reacted to certain results, it seemed off because it was like watching a dog bark at a flea. You don’t really understand what’s going on until things get laid out and then you’re like, “Ohhhh…. huh.”
I loved the characters. I loved the humor. Milah is honestly more like me than I care to admit because she can be so easy to harass but at the same time, I love her stubbornness and her inability to control herself when it comes to driving Tim crazy. I appreciated that this story wasn’t as emotionally-straining as Cade’s, cause I’m not sure if I’m ready for anything like that again. This was a pretty heady Hallmark movie of the bunch and i am here for it. And i am so ready for my other guys.
“They say silence is golden…it was until I met Timaeus.”
Moving into the amazing that was this book, CAN I JUST SAY THAT EVERY TIME KRISTY WRITES SOMETHING, SHE LITERALLY GETS ME TO ALMOST CRYING EVERY SINGLE TIME? It was no different with Tim and Milah – not as bad as Gorgeous but there was misting.
I’m going to start with Milah, our tiny and headstrong female lead who works as a teacher and whose visa is about to expire because of budget cuts. For me, I found Milah incredibly easy to slip into as a character; she cares deeply for her work and takes it above and beyond most of the time. The story follows her and Tim, an ex-Marine who is slowly losing his ability to hear, when he is assigned as her co-teacher.
Tim. My baby boy. You’re growing up so fast and taking life by the horns. (Yes, I censored that.) Tim has always been an incredibly intricate character; when I first met him in Commander, as with the rest of the men in these books, I wondered where his story would take me. With Gorgeous, I knew I needed his book to be as soon as possible. I mean, daaaa-yuummmmm. (If you’ve read Goregous, you know what I’m talking about.) And oh god, Tim did not disappoint in Interpreter either. It was such an incredibly written journey for him; I loved that I got to see him grow from the very first time. (Of course, if you are a new reader, starting with Interpreter, I think you can still see that transformation and development as well.)
Tim with any kid any where—my ovaries melt every time! He’s so good with them, even if he thinks that he isn’t, he always puts them first and it’s just the sweetest thing and I want to hug him every single time.
So now, having reread the books before, I’ll be going to reread Interpreter because that is the only logical next step in my life?

I knew from the moment that the met Tim that he was going to be one of my favorite character that Kristy Marie writes and I was absolutely right!! Tim makes you go through all kinds of feelings and he makes you feel them so very deeply and it was beautiful! Milah and Tim are perfect for each other! I loved their journey and seeing them overcome their fears shows how strong they both are; I loved every minute of this book!!!
I’ve grown to love this crazy family that Anniston creates from the beginning with Theo and Cade and I love the interaction between all of the characters and how everyone is so involved in everyone else’s business and though it seems crazy but I love the bantering that goes on amongst them all!! They all love each other so much and that is exactly what you get with a big crazy family!!!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!
Going back to the Commander in Briefs world feels like coming home after a long, exhausting day. You just want to dive into the comfortableness and peace that it offers, knowing so well that you’ll get lost in the wonderfully written story. That does not, in any way, mean that the story is just a cozy read; it’s an emotional journey filled with love, hope, strength, courage. It’s a different experience that will bring you to tears, but you’ll love it nevertheless. And when you finish the last page, you’ll wish to be able to live it all over again, because this is the kind of read that stays with you for a long time.
I think this one has been the most anticipated book of the series. I mean if you are familiar with commander in briefs series, you will understand what I am talking about, because everyone craved Tim’s story and had several scenarios about it. And for the ones who never had read KRISTY’s this book is the right begging. Now, let’s get inside the story. All I can tell without spoiling it is that interpreter is a myriad of emotions. It is going to give you all the feelings. Mixing smiles and tears. You’ll feel so emotional sometimes…. because Tim is that. Tim owns you from the very beginning. No words needed.
What about Milah? Damn the heroine is a clever bomb on heels. And I loved when she speaks Spanish!!!
Overall you will understand why interpreter is going to be one of the best read and the greatest tear-jeker you have read this year.
I have to spend a few words on a secondary character. My poor heart. You will instantly fall in love with this little treasure. She’s everything. The queen of this story.
Who’s that? Read interpreter. Your heart is going to mell just like that. It comes effortless for her. Little commander has my heart forever!
But because you want an honest review here. I will tell you that I still need some answers from Mrs Marie, because she perfectly knows how to make her readers obsessed and addicted to her books and her Marines! Yes ma’am I need more!!!!
Interpreter was a heartbreaking, beautiful and fun read! Oh Tim is so swoonworthy! I absolutely loved Milah she was so sassy and a wee bit crazy at times! Tim and Milah are the perfect fit together! I do think that Aspen and Oliver stoled a bit of show, so adorable! Oh how I love this bunch of characters they work so well together! Can’t wait for more by Kristy!
5 Completely Obsessed Stars
I have been utterly captivated with this series that Kristy has created since the beginning. Each story and each character makes me fall more and more in love with them and Tim is no different. I’ve been waiting for his story since that scene in Gorgeous by the bonfire (you know which one I’m talking about) and if you don’t read it and you will know exactly what I mean. And Kristy does not disappoint with where she takes us. Tim owned my heart and soul from the very first page and it only progressed from there.
**I’m trapped inside my head with nothing to distract me but a life imprisoned in silence.**
With every new story that Kristy writes I feel like that character is the one that owns my soul. But then she’ll write another and it will be that one. Well, I’m here to say that Tim actually does own me heart and soul. This man it All The Things! He’s so special and amazing that you can’t but fall for him. Tim is so broken and oh so beautiful, he crashes through your walls and takes up residence in your heart. What this man must deal with is more than most, and the fact that he’s not completely shattered is a testament to how strong he is. That’s part of what makes him so appealing, his quite strength and Alpha tendencies are enough to make any women lose her mind.
**Gibberish and faces of ecstasy should be the only things coming out of her mouth.**
Milah is perfection. She is this super feisty woman that doesn’t take crap from anyone. She doesn’t let Tim’s brooding behavior deter her from figuring out the man behind the surly attitude. I loved the banter between them you could feel the chemistry jump off the pages every time the were together. They are both incredibly stubborn which makes for EPIC fights, that will burn up your Kindle. Every time they fought it was like deliciously sexy foreplay, that will have your temperature rising.
**Oh mercy. He used that voice again. You know the one I told you about? The one when he uses my name and it tickles my ovaries? Yeah, that one.**
These two are perfect together, their dynamic is completely mesmerizing. The push and pull between them couldn’t be any better, to the point you can feel the connection burst through the pages and douse you in sexual tension. She is exactly what he needs to help him through his issues and show him what he would be missing.
**“No matter what, I will always hear you here.” He pulls my hand to his heart before letting go and signing again. “Promise me. Promise me you’ll be back.”**
Kristy without a doubt nailed this story. She takes you on a journey that will pull at every single one of your heart strings, leaving you completely and emotionally wrung out in the best way possible. This story hit me straight in the heart and the ovaries simultaneously shattering my world, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Kristy had me falling in love all over again with all these amazing character’s that she has created, each one owns a piece of me but only Tim owns all of me!!
First and foremost I do not cry while reading but let me tell you there were a few instances in Tim’s journey that made my eyes well up with tears. Kudos KM you thawed my heart.
This book was delivered with what we usually expect from Kristy but with another layer added to it. It was surreal in a way. She took a story of a man who is broken, stuck and has no desire to change and she gave him a story of courage and hope. She gave him a sassy little spit fire of a woman and the adoration of a little boy that showed him that some things in life are worth the risk.
Such a beautiful and awe inspiring story that must be read by all!!
Reading this book have me all the feels. Kristy Marie has never written a book that hasn’t stuck with me. This is Timaeus and Milah’s book. After learning that budget cuts have affected her job, Milah is looking at a one way trip back home. But when Timaeus comes into her life, everything she knows will change. I really loved this book and I’m excited for more from this series.
The best crew of Georgia is back! Oh how I missed these people! I love them so much. I don’t know how Kristy manages to do this, but each book is better than the last (and I love every book in this series). I never thought Tim would steal my heart, but he we are.
Tim, the broody silent marine and also music prodigy. We met him back in Commander when he was homeless (like all the other guys), we also knew he was losing his hearing with the pass of time. At the beginning of this book we learn that he is completely deaf, so he is now mad at the world and a little lost in life, so his therapist tells him that he needs to move on with his life and suggest he gets a job. This is where he meets Milah, the sassy latin teacher. I have loved every heroine in this series and Milah wasn’t the exception, she is this fierce little thing, she put up with Tim and she never backed down, they were the perfect match, I don’t think there’s another person as perfect for him as Milah, she was everything he didn’t know he needed.
They both had to go through some tough situations so they could have they happy ever after. And what a fun an emotional journey it was, I loved every second of it. But and this is a big BUT, what I loved the most of this book is the relationship between Tim and Aspen (Ans and Theo’s daughter) OMG this is the most precious thing in the world, the way she signs to him or grabs his face (goodbye ovaries) too cute to handle. I hope and pray that we get somehow Aspen’s book (pretty please).
Anyways, this is definitely a must read. This book will make you laugh, swoon and even shed a tear or two. I can’t wait for the next book. And if you haven’t read the previous books go and binge read now!
I have been really looking forward to Tim’s story and it was so worth the wait! Interpreter is an emotional story full of heart.
Milah meets Tim right at the time she finds out the program she teaches is going to be cut and she may have to move back home to Costa Rica if she cannot find a new job. The connection between the two of them was amazing. I loved how they bonded and admired each other for both little and big things as they grew closer.
As with the previous books in the series family, friendship, and overcoming adversity/finding oneself are themes threaded throughout the story. I liked Milah a lot as the heroine, but Tim was by far my favorite character. His evolution over the course of the book was so well done and it is easy to love him!
Regular appearances by the rest of the foundation members and an adorable little boy named Oliver also made Interpreter a great read. I cannot wait to see what Kristy Marie writes next!
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
I adored Tim and Milah’s story from the very beginning. We’re given a heartwarming read that will have you laughing from time to time as well. I have read all the books in this series to date and when I think I can’t love another more then the last we’re given a story that will have you falling harder and faster then before. Tim’s heart is so big and as much of a guard he keeps up you just can’t get enough of witnessing it get lowered one step at a time. Beautifully written and a must read.
Another new to me author but she has a new fan in me! I freaking loved this book. Tim’s story definitely pulls at your heartstrings. I so enjoyed Tim and Milah’s story. I finished this book with my eyes full of tears and a smile on my face. This book deserves all the stars and I look forward to more from this author.
***4,25 “No matter what, I will always hear you!!!” stars***
I won’t lie!!! This was my first book by Kristy Marie, but even me, i can see why Tim’s story was so anticipated from the writer’s fans!!!!
This story was unique, full of passion and so sweet!!!!
It was emotionally overloaded and i enjoyed it very much!!!!
Now, I’m literally kickin’ my ass for not reading her stories earlier, but i will get there!!!!
And even though, i hadn’t read the previous books in the series, it wasn’t very hard to follow and i’m so happy for that!!!
“I never want to feel that kind of pain again. The pain of losing everything. Hope is a dangerous thing to lose.”
Well, Timaeus Lampros hasn’t an easy life…
He is a former soldier, a former prodigy in piano and nowdays, he is fighting with the loss of his hearing!!!! A loss that he has taken very hard…
His friends are very close to him and they are trying very hard to make him start living again…
And just like that he is finding himself to be a co-teacher in Milah Inglesias’s classroom!!!
Milah is a strange person, but soooo cute!!!
She has a very big heart and she is obsessed with high heels!!!!
Her position in the school is in jeopardy and she is afraid of what the future is holding for her…
She has to find a solution soon or else her big dream will vanish into thin air!!!!
What doesn’t help at all is the presence of broody, but oh so hot, Tim Lambros in her classroom!!!!
“These boys changed my heart. They gave me something to believe in…”
I loved this couple very much!!! They were having so different personalities , but they were fitting perfectly together!!!
I loved the way they were approaching each other and how they were capable of healing each other…
Tim was a very troubled man and my heart was aching for his behalf!!!
Milah had lots on her plate too, but her feisty and passionate personality was winning you over from the first moment…
I won’t say much more about this book, but i loved many other people in here!!!!
I loved Oliver so much!!! He was a very sweet boy!!!
I loved Felipe and his… too much persona!!!!
I loved Ms. Pike and the way she was handling Tim…
I loved Dr. Parker who was forcing Tim all the damn time to do things that he didn’t want to do…
And of course, i loved this crazy bunch in the foundation!!! That bunch that Tim was loving like real brothers and sisters!!!!
***Thanks so much for giving me this ARC.***
Timaeus is droolworthy…he deserves his title of Mr broody but he’s also soooo dreamy.
Waiting for his story has definitely been worth the wait. I’ve been wanting to read Tim’s story since I first read about Anniston “saving” him and the other guys! Might have to do with me having my own military man named TimI loved it. From start to finish, I loved how it all fit together. The way Kristy Marie managed to get each character to fit into the story yet at the same time keep the focus on Milah & Tim. Seeing glimpses of the past characters are the biggest reason I love reading a series. Watching this world evolve together, seeing the closeness of this crew and the banter between the guys makes it one of my worlds to read from.
My favorite part was the connection between Milah & Tim…it was almost explosive but also so real.
This book touched my soul in so many different ways. The biggest part of this that touched me was them learning what they needed from each other and being able to fulfill those needs. Most importantly, to not allow one thing to define who you are. You are more than your weaknesses.
Watching the journey between Tim and Milah, along with their individual journeys; just reminded me that finding that person can help heal you from the inside out. Not only that, but just having someone to lean on; regardless if it’s a SO or just a friend can make all the difference in the world.
There aren’t many books I’m willing to re-read, this series is definitely one that I want to read and can see myself re-reading multiple times.
I absolutely freaking LOVE this series!!!! It’s one of my greatest finds this year! That being said, I’ve been anxiously awaiting Tim’s story. Tim and Milah are EVERYTHING!! One minute is was crying and then laughing out loud the next! The chemistry between these two is HOT! Seeing how Tim is with Aspen and Oliver had my ovaries exploding! *Kapoof*
Milah is nothing short of amazing. She is compassionate and loving but also fierce and strong. She sees Tim. Past his furry, past his irritably, past his hearing loss. She is perfect for him. There’s just one problem, her job is letting her go. She needs a job to be able to stay in the US.
So now the question(s) is…will she find one in time? Will Tim pull his head out of his cute butt?
I love that we get to catch up with everyone at the compound! I didn’t want this story to end!
