This was my first book by Audrey that I read. I was hooked from beginning to the very end. I highly recommend this book. A must read.
International Guy Inc. is run by Parker, Bo and Royce and they cater to women and their needs; those needs could vary from styling, to confidence, to sexiness and love. As long as it isn’t illegal. These men alone are skilled, but together they are a powerhouse! Volume 1 takes us to Paris, New York and Copenhagen and each of those cities has a huge amount of sexiness in them. How could you not fall in love with a company that is going to coach a woman to become the best version of herself?
In Paris, the boys help out Sophie Rolland. She is a a diamond in the rough, a hidden gem that is filled with untapped beauty and that is exactly what IG Inc. is hired to tap into. They teach her to dress in a powerful and sexy manner, they teach her to be a great business woman and they help her believe in her sexiness through confidence. The dynamic of IG Inc. is beautiful to watch. Sophie comes into her own and then some. She becomes a vixen who rules her empire.
Next is New York. This is the bread in butter of the story because Parker gets to work with his absolute forever crush Skyler. He is attempting to re-ignite her muse and his suave persona and all-in attitude helps him achieve that.
In Copenhagen, Parker is helping a future queen who has become a wild child come into her own. She needs to fight against herself and her inner demons so that she can come to her full potential.
The connection between Parker, Bo and Royce is epic, they are truly each other’s brothers from another mother. You can tell that the bond between them is unbreakable and that it is what will drive their business and lives to success. I wish they were out in the real world able to help women like me Audrey’s words are so sexy and beautiful. I love how she brings together all of these cities and in each of them gives us impactful differences in what the boys can do. I seriously am dying for more!!!!!
love all the books in the International Guy Series!
This is a great book! You will fall in love with swoon worthy Parker. I love his company and how it helps people with all kinds of issues including his own issues that come to light.
I loved all of the International guys!
This series is by far one of my all time favorites!! It has all the feels and you fall in love with the characters!!! Get ready for an amazing journey!!
Audrey is one of my top 5 fav authors and she did not disappoint with this series. Love the 12 month style books that she writes. The way the main characters go to different countries and places keeps you excited with the new experiences. Put that along side a steamy romantic story and boom.
Fabulous read
These three novellas are mostly told from the viewpoint of Parker Ellis who co-owns International Guy with his best friends Bo (Bogart) and Royce. It is an image consulting company for business, love or any personal issue. Parker understands the female psyche and how to find their best self, Bo makes over physical appearance and Royce is the money man who can sniff out any finance problem. I enjoyed them going hanging out at Parker’s Father’s pub and just being friends.
PARIS
This book definitely laid the foundation for the friendship between the guys as well as detailing what their company offers.
Their client is perfume heiress Sophie Rolland, who needs a bit of a sprucing up as she takes the helm of her company. The guys spend a few days in Paris making this woman beautiful and informed about anything fishy going on before she assumes her position. While they’re working so closely together she and Parker have a spark! Sophie is a bit taken with Parker and recommends IG to their new assignment in NYC.
Interesting chapter from Sophie at the end.
NEW YORK
Back at the office after Paris, Parker meets Wendy Bannerman the new assistant girl wonder who bluffs her way into the job and is epically qualified. I loved her immediately want lots more of Wendy! She’s got some stuff going on with that man of hers! Then Parker is off to New York.
Parker finds himself temporarily moving in with his celebrity crush Skyler find her muse again. Professional lines are once again crossed by Parker since he can’t keep his hands or eyes off of Skyler. She’s feeling it too and it’s sparking up all over the place again.
Acting is one thing, beginning a celebrity is awful. She is struggling to continue working without losing herself and wanting to quit because of it.
I enjoyed the chapter from Skyler’s point of view at the end.
COPENHAGEN
Parker jets in to assist with Princess Christina in finding her way back to her true love, Crown Prince Sven who is about to ascend to the thrown.
When Parker first meets Christina she is playing to the paparazzi and the tabloids that she is a royal party girl. Parker listens and observes that there is much more to her than the image she is portraying, and why she’s behaving that way.
Sophie pops up again and we also see Parker and Skyler’s relationship progress a little and then taking a huge step. I’m hoping they make it last.
I’m hoping for more face time with Bo and Royce in the coming stories. I want more Wendy too.

International Guy: Volume 1 includes installment one, two, and three to the International Guy series by New York Times Bestselling Author Audrey Carlan.
The main character, Parker Ellis, is a big time playboy. I enjoy reading about playboys who redeem themselves along the way. This was not the case for Parker, each installment features Parker and his current leading lady. Parker seems the type that wants to play the field forever. Maybe, he will meet his match as the series unfolds-fingers crossed- but who knows.
This is my first read by Audrey and while I was intrigued it didn’t quite capture me the way I was expecting.
International Guy takes you around the world from Paris to New York and the way to Copenhagen.
I didn’t realize when I requested that they originally were separate short stories and were combined. I’ve never read anything by Carlan. But I’ve heard of her Calendar Series. International Guy Inc’s primary purpose to help women feel empowered in a sense. They do the makeovers with hair, makeup, and new clothes. I mean who doesn’t like some new clothes? I think they all love a good challenge. Parker, I liked him, but I didn’t like him, like him. He has some great qualities. He comes from a great family; he’s running a business with his best friends. But I wasn’t feeling him personally.
I did enjoy this book, and the characters were fun. But I wasn’t connecting with the characters on an emotional level. Which is a huge thing for me, But think there’s a ton of readers who would love this. So I would recommend them jumping into International Guy: Volume 1
Overall, Three Boundless Stars
This series is not for me. Audrey Carlan is a new to me author, and I just wasn’t impressed with the story, or lack there of. There was so much going on but no real focus. When you pick up a romance novel there is a certain formula you can expect to follow. Boy meets girl, boy and girl fall for each other, HEA/HFN. Not so much in this case. I’m not even sure who Parker is supposed to end up with, I have an idea but after book 3 that should be really clear. Hell, after book 1 that should be clear. International Guy was heavy on the erotic, which would be fine if there was emotion behind it, but there isn’t here. Parker our “hero” even hooks up with a random chick, in detail. Just not for me, which is sad because it had potential.
This is a hard one for me to review. A few chapters into the first section of this three part book, I was so turned off by the main characters thoughts & behavior I was ready to call it a dnf and quit reading. I didn’t find their methods sexy or sensual, just unprofessional & creepy. These men who are hired to coach the elite woman of the world, come across as too touchy & crude for a business relationship. I only continued reading because I respect this author and enjoy her previous work. Towards the end of Book one & into Book two, the tone seemed to flow better, the balance in relationship power equaling out. The women were depicted stronger and the men slightly less man-whorish & cringeworthy in their approach. The books seemed to take on a familiar Calendar Girl style but with a mostly male point of view. By the end of Book three I was enjoying the story & hooked into wanting to find out how the books progress. So, despite an unfavorable beginning, I did end up liking the books and will continue reading the series.
