This is a whirlwind roller coaster of emotions. Wow!
Delaney has lived the last 10 years in her past. After a shattered break up with her high school sweet heart and family drama that left her penniless she’s trying really hard to get back on her feet and focus on her future.
Until the invite arrives to her 10yr High School Reunion. One she is dreading, to relive the past.
She is stuck between who she thinks is the love of her life and her best friend who has confessed his love to her.
Through it all, something just isn’t right!! One seems real, raw and honest. While the other.. well seems to good to be true..
Will Delaney open her eyes and choose with her heart?
I floved this love triangle theme. It felt as though the triangle wasn’t stationary but ever moving. It really kept me on my toes and on the edge of my seat.
Once again Lisa #QueenofCliffies Suzanne has left me hanging with a real unexpected, jaw dropping bomb!
Delaney’s indecisiveness, uncertainty and turmoil could be felt with every page turn.
Gavin
HAF rockstar & HS best friend
Chase
HOT professional football player & former HS boyfriend
Buckle up and enjoy the roller coaster ride!
I was reading reviews on this book before I read it and I thought that it was perfect what The Book Fairy Reviews said.
“This is a second chance romance with a twist.”
So true!!
Delaney Lockwood is caught between two men that mean a lot to her. If she picks one man, she disappoints the other and viscera. What is Delaney going to do?!?!
Interception (Love Triangle Duet #1) by Lisa Suzanne is a duet. Although I had the ARC for Interception, I knew that it would end with a cliffhanger. If you have read my reviews before, then you know that I HATE cliffhangers without having the next book. So, I patiently waited for Intermission (Love Triangle Duet #2) to come to me via ARC. I am so glad that I did that (even though the PR company was probably mad at me…)
#SorryNotSorry
By waiting, I got the full picture of the story. I binge read it in one weekend. Delaney’s story took me on an emotional rollercoaster between Chase Camden & Gavin Brooks. By the way, I was team Gavin the whole way!!
The two men mad it hard for Delaney. But in the end, she got her HEA. I am not going to tell you more than that. But I will tell you that I think that she picked the right guy.
This was my first Lisa Suzanne book. I found her writing engaging and kept interested throughout the entire duet. As I said before, I read it over one weekend. I didn’t want to put it down. She kept my attention throughout the book. I can’t wait to read her other work and see what else she has in store for us. I am so glad that I took a chance on her writing. I am so a fan now!!
~ Review written by Heidi Pharo
Intense, passionate, and riddled with heart-wrenching emotion…. Interception has everything necessary to wreck the heart in the best possible way. From the moment my eyes landed on the first page, I knew there was no chance of prying them away until I had devoured every last word! I am a sucker for love triangle stories and this one not only surpassed my expectations, but quickly found itself in the running as one of my favorites. It’s words were heartfelt and addictive, and left me aching for more, I can’t wait to see how this one all plays out! Highly recommend!!
A Lovely Romantic Read … I think …
A lovely romance. The story is original and unique. This was an easy read. The characterizations of not only the three main characters, but of the whole supporting cast were clear, realistic and believable. The main female character came across as indecisive, so much so, and not infrequently, that this inability reach a decision in a reasonable time frame, caused most of the angst and strung-out emotions of the three main characters. Ms. Suzanne certainly couched her words very well, so much so, I am off to read part two and find out how this tale concluded.

MY THOUGHTS
Because this book has driven me to madness, I’m sorry in advance if my review is confusing and messy. If you have read any of my reviews before, you will probably notice, my thoughts are usually at the end. Well, I needed to vent my frustration and jumbled emotions before to even attempt something. Besides, everything I wish I could say, I cannot, because I don’t want to spoil this journey to anyone.
This book played with all my emotions. I’ve felt love, sadness, frustration and I felt like throwing my kindle away a few times. Even though this was a love triangle, in my opinion, the choice was cristal clear from the beginning. Yeah, Delaney and I weren’t at the same vibe, and she kept me in the brink of insanity throughout this story. I’m not saying which team I’m on, because anything said here, feels like a spoiler. All I’m saying Ms. Suzanne is a master at her craft, because she kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning until the end and I’m not even going to mention that last chapter, yeah, the one that usually ends in a HUGE cliffhanger in all duets.
I’m glad, very glad, that book #2 isn’t very far away, or I would have to start drinking!
WHAT HAS REALLY WORKED FOR ME
Addictiveness: 5/5 Highest level of addictiveness!!! This story has played with me from beginning until end. I’m still thinking about it, even now, 24h after I’ve finished the book.
Character: hero 5/5, heroine 3.5/5, secondary characters 5/5, growth 4/5, real 5/5 Ms. Suzanne’s characters are a work of art. They grab you, and force you to join them at their journey. I became invested, I have loved and felt their pain. They were easy to love, connect and understand.
I will start with Delaney because I’ve a sort of love/hate thing going on with her. Really, her path hasn’t been easy and she is a survivor. At the same time, she seems to me, blinded by her 18 year old self. I don’t agree with lots of her actions, but I know she is good behind her doubts and insecurities.
There are 2 men in this triangle. I won’t give them names, all I will say, one is my favorite character of the story. I completely and totally adore him. The other I love to hate. But they are both multi-dimensional and very well written.
A few interesting secondary characters. I guess Rose and Liam deserve their own stories, together or separated.
Cover: art 4/5, title 5/5, color-font 4/5, buy 5/5 I’m obsessed with book covers. I love to find snippets of the stories within the art. This art definitely fits this story. I can see Chase with Delaney, the football stadium background and the perfect, catchy title. I even like the love triangle sort of subtitle on the top, because is another snippet of information about the story. Because I’m pick with art, I have to say I don’t love Delaney’s shirt. I don’t really think it was good pairing that shirt, with a shirtless man in a football stadium. I would easily buy this book by its cover without reading the blurb!
Freshness: It feels new, original with fresh ideas. I love it!!! I like how the author has created the love triangle. I love all the feelings it evokes. I’m crazy about how they all have a past in common. Fresher than listerine!!!
Plot: believable 4/5, conflict 5/5, dialogue 5/5, ending 3/5, enjoyment 5/5, opening 5/5, pace 5/5, setting 5/5, subplots 5/5, twists 5/5 Great opening and frustrating ending. It shouldn’t be a believable concept, but the author really makes it work. Dialogues written by a pro. A fast-paced read that hooked the reader from the beginning, making it impossible to stop reading it. Love the setting and the twist was O.M.G! It carries a lot of emotions and it makes the reader “feels”.
Romance: believable 5/5, chemistry 5/5, description 5/5, development 5/5, steam 5/5 O.M.G! It is frustrating, but very believable. The pace is perfect and the chemistry is totally there. The steamy parts are hot and the love pieces are amazing!
Writing Style: First time reading something from Ms. Suzanne and I guess it’s love at first read! 🙂 Really, I’m having a love/hate relationship with this book, and what more should I want from an author than experience a story along with the characters?
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
I don’t even know. I guess if I had to be really pick here, I could say Delaney because we definitely don’t see eye-to-eye on things. But I don’t see eye-to-eye with lots of people that I love.
I guess the fact that I have to wait a couple weeks for reading the next book!

Would I recommend? YES YES YES
Would I re-read this book? I’m certain I will.
Would I read more from the author? Really looking forward to.
You may read this because you like the author; you SHOULD read this because you enjoy duets; you MUST read this for an amazing love story!!!
Trifecta love triangle.
It all started when a Ten year High School Reunion when Deleney meets up with her former ex Chase who now is a pro football player Deleney thinks she still loves him after tens years who breaks up with her and leaves her with unanswered questions. Then her best friend Gavin is a lead singer of a rock band who always been there for her tells Deleney that he loves her.
Deleney is trying to figure out how can she be in love with two different men.
There is lies and deceit she doesn’t know about as Deleney is trying to be honest with both men trying to figure out what to do in following her heart.
What will happen when Deleney finds out the real truth and will she choose Chase or Gavin?
Oh boy, let me preface this review by saying I don’t generally like love triangles, but this author nailed this genre with this book! It was so well done without a bunch of those “cringe-worthy” moments that so many love triangles have. The relationship among these characters, Delaney, Gavin and Chase, was so intriguing that I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading it. Delaney has a tough decision to make and I can’t wait to read what it is in Book #2! I’m definitely Team Gavin all the way, but I have a feeling there’s going to be more twists and turns and laughter and tears before we find out. Very well done, well-developed characters with a storyline that flowed easily and caused me to stop and think, “what would I do?” Can’t wait for the finale!
Love Triangles stress me out. If they’re done right, they’ll keep you guessing but will also have you picking favorites. I have a favorite, and after the last chapter my favorite is certainly confirmed. Now I just need book two in my hands to make sure Laney makes the right choices.
I love that this book is all in Laney’s POV but also has one tiny glimpse into Chase and Gavin’s brains. It gives us a chance to see her struggle but also understand what they’re going through as well.
I couldn’t put this book down as soon as I picked it up. It’s so freaking good and it just keeps you hooked from start to finish. “One more chapter” quickly turned into, “oh, there’s no more?” and I absolutely love that.
A high school reunion will bring Delaney to a crossroads. Her feelings and marries run deep, when she comes back in the orbit of Chase and Gavin, her best friend and the one who broke her heart. I don’t usually read love triangle themed stories, but this was an engaging story, which I’m glad I read. I don’t usually read love triangle themed stories, but this was a fairly engaging story. Though at times Delaney verged on the whiny side.
Here’s another winner from author Lisa Suzanne!! There are already lots of spoilers on this thread ai I’m going to just give a quick take on my views of the book. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the characters of Chase (the former ex & lover and NFL star playing for the Broncos), Delaney (the heroine and lead high school cheerleader) & Gavin (Delaney’s high school best friend and neighbor who is currently the rock god frontman for the band, Beyond Gold) all come together 10 years after they’ve graduated from high school where Delaney, because of a past financial scandal after graduation, was unable to pursue her lifelong dream, decides to become a teacher to help others…Feelings are revealed and past romances are rekindled with a new romance heating up and now Delaney goes from having no love life to all of a sudden, a complicated one…Fans of a Little Like Destiny will love this series as it’s reminiscent of that triangle, however that was about brothers and this is more about classmates…and that jaw dropping cliffhanger!! I sorta knew it was coming but wanted to give that character the benefit of the doubt…and I hope she makes the right decision which I know she won’t at first, but realizes sooner rather that not all appears as it seems…
This is the first book of a great duet series and I’m always thirsty for more! I can’t wait for the conclusion in Intermission!
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A love triangle between the school teacher, the rock star and the football player. This book captures me from the first chapter. Just when you think you know how it is going to play out, there is another facet to change your mind. Am loving this, can’t wait to read the final book and see who gets the girl!!
Wow just wow, just when I was in a complete book funk I read this and holy smokes does it pull me out. Right from the start was I hooked. Lisa really blows my mind. The way she has the characters come to life and makes you feel your right there in the story. Delaney is by far my favorite character this year, from any story read. Don’t get me started on the men in this story I love to hate them both I’ll just leave it at that. Must read!!!!
This was a great read ~ and now I can’t wait for the second part of the duet! I had my opinions as to whether she should be Team Gavin or Team Chase, but I won’t spoil this love triangle for you. You must read this for yourself and make up your own mind!!
Omg. I am totally floored by this book. WOW!! I am SPEECHLESS!! This author has totally stunned me and made me see what was really going on. I have a ton of emotions that are all over the place. The way the characters pasts have come back, the way they interact, it all creates a facade to what is really happening behind the scenes.
The triangle she has created is utterly amazing. I’ve never felt such the pull she does when she’s making the tough decisions about who to choose. It was one I couldn’t put down and finished as soon as I started it. I was so connected to the characters, and i tilt he cliffhanger, you think everything is true emotion and love.
Delaney is the girl who got her heart crushed in high school by Camden. Gavin was her best friend. They reunite at their high school reunion and sparks fly. They have to weave through this web of feelings, emotions, and the past that bring everything to the present that’s full of tough decisions about who we choose.
An emotional, heart-wrenching ead that you will love and helps you see not everyone is who they say they are.
I haven’t read many books involving love triangles. Someone is always left behind but based on the last few pages of this book, I’m anxious to find out if that will hold true since one of the participants isn’t in love. Personally, I am pulling for Gavin because I love musicians and he’s been in love with Delaney for years. Love that he calls her Laney instead of Dee. Not a fan of a cliff hanger but definitely needs to see how this ends.
Lisa Suzanne has done it again, another five star book! It is a love triangle with lots of intersecting lines and hearts, and it made my heart feel like it was on a roller coaster. Once I started it, I could not put it down. And then the ending … I am now very impatiently waiting on the next book, while my brain is still on Delaney, Gavin and Chase. I highly recommend this book. It is a great beginning of a Duet.
What a start to what appears to be a couple books that are going to kill me. I absolutely loved this story and the story of reconnecting with a former boy friend and a best friend and the love triangle that proceeds. This book had all the feels and oh how my heart pulls for Gavin in this although Chase had me swooning too ( just like author wanted me to). However I was left at times wondering when the other shoe was going to drop and wow did it drop.
All the feels and tension are packed into this delightful book and now the waiting begins for book 2
I loved this one. Lisa is one of my one lick authors. With books by her I don’t really read what the book is about before starting it anymore, I just jump in and start reading. This one so far is my favorite by her. It’s book one in a duet so it does end with us hanging but book two will be out shortly.
Delaney is a great character. She was a little bit annoying at some times because I wanted her to just pick the guy I thought was best for her already. Delaney attends her high school reunion with her best friend. Her high school ex (Chase) is a big football player now and she’s still hang up on him. But at her reunion she also reconnects with Gavin who was her friend is high school. Gavin is a big rock star now. Both guys have a lot going for them and both like Delaney. I usually never do this in a triangle book but I picked the guy I liked the most fairly earlier in the story. I was hooked and can’t wait to read the next but I’m also a little scared to read the next because I’m so rooting for one guy.
So this was the first book that I’ve read by her and can I saw never saw that coming with come we were left with a BIG cliffhanger but so worth it. Will she end up with Chase, her high school sweetheart or Gavin, her high school best friend. They both bring their a game but when push comes to shove I’m going for the bad boy musician Gavin. We’ll have to see in book 2 who comes out on top. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy
