Nathaniel is a playboy who meets his match is a short spitfire workaholic. Their chemistry is scorching and I love how they interact with each other. I laughed, cried and really enjoyed these two and their story.

WOW … THIS BOOK DELIVERED IN SPADES!
I’m not giving away a single thing about this journey, but I will say this: you will run thru every possible emotion and then some while you’re reading #TRUST!
Both Nathaniel and Madeline were very strong-willed characters, alphas if you will, and when they came together they exploded of the pages. Their chemistry was full of spark. The entire story was full of spark. It’s very intense and captivating but not dark/angsty. Simply put, it is an epic hate to love story that sizzled and crackled from beginning to end.
I haven’t read a lot of work by this author and I’m wondering why because what I have read has been off the charts all around. If you like your stories with strong characters full of heart, then #oneclick away TODAY! You’ll be thanking me later 😉
It has been a bit since I have settled in with a true contemporary romance
Intention checks all the boxes
the best friend – the chaotic family- the emotionally devastating secret, the underhanded villain, the simple attraction, the angst – and the budding romance
Nathaniel is the typical rich playboy – he knows he has to settle down and adult – but he does not feel that that time is now – still hoping to take things easy for a while and appease his grandfather he sets out on a mission he believes will secure his future – He could not have been any further off from the truth
TInk – Maddy- Life has been a bit of a challenge – but she is strong and has set her mind on a goal – with absolute precision and control she will make the best of her future even if it kills her – she doesn’t need a man – especially a smooth-talking British accented playboy who is taking up her space!
Tink and Peter (going to have to read it) are like oil and vinegar – two opposites who just can not find a middle ground
Overall this was an easy to follow romance that was entertaining and engaging, the storyline did slow during a couple scenes – and the resolution to their problem felt a bit rushed.
If you are looking for a bit of laughter -a bit of drama – a touch of angst and a sweet as sin romance – Look no further
Ava Harrison deserves a medal for creating Nathaniel and Madeline’s story. Once again she treated me to a sexy playboy who desperately needs reform and she also gave me a strong heroine who can’t be so easily seduced by the charm of the main character. These two created a hate-love acquaintance that evolved into a fake relationship that aimed to secure Nathaniel’s position as an heir to the family business and to expand the company where Madeline is the CEO.
Their first meeting wasn’t pleasant because Nathaniel, as the new boss to Madeline, brought chaos into her life. Their constant banter and power battles are simply gold! However, both of them have agendas and only cooperation will help them achieve their goals. The plan was simple – Nathaniel will prove to the board of the family business that he’s worthy of being at the head, and in return will make sure that the fashion company in which he invested will develop it’s wings.
Madeline only has to pretend to be a devoted girl for some time. There is only one rule – all of this is pretended and there would be no real feelings. But we already know how it is with rules, right? Especially when the sexual tension is so thick that it can be cut with a knife. Believe me, this story is filled with tension to the brim!
Nathaniel … I could swoon over him all day! This handsome man with British accent is material for another book boyfriend. Although we get to know him first as a guy who hasn’t grow up yet and it’s hard for him to say goodbye to the life of the party man and womanizer, the change that takes place in the course of time is really huge. Reformed bad boy, whose sexapil you can smell from a mile away? HELL YES!
I still can’t stop admiring Madeline’s strength and her selfless. As a woman I can fully understand the pain and disappointment that this woman has to carry inside of her and it needs a really unusually strong chick to not to break down. Although the first impression that she creates around herself is coldness and stiffness, with time you can see in her also vulnerability and sadness. All she needs is someone who’d help her believe that she’s enough.
I love everything in this book. The plot is great, the characters are fabulously created and author’s writing style is pleasant for the reader. This story has passionate and romantic moments, as well as funny and heart-wrenching. Intention woke up all possible feelings in me!
Totally recommend!
5 heart wrenching emotional stars!!! Nathaniel was in his 30’s and was set in his man whoring ways and felt that he didn’t need to grow up yet. He had plenty of time to do that. Well after talking to his grandfather he realized he was going to have to show a change.
When he met “Tink” they literally rubbed each other the wrong way. Neither of them wanted a relationship but he needed one. SO….she was going to help him out. Neither expected what happened after that.
Tink has things going on in her personal life that she doesn’t share with anyone. She’s a strong woman and stand strong she does. Than things change and she does what she has to.
I could feel the love between Nathaniel and Tink, could feel their happiness, their joy. I could feel it all. It took my quite a while to warm up to Nathaniel but by the end I just wanted to hug him. I also wanted to hug Tink too, loved her.
In-ten-tion by Ava Harrison is a beautifully written enemies to lovers story. Besides the enemies to lovers storyline, there is another story built within the story which will touch your heart and soul. It will have you grabbing the tissues. Nathaniel and Madeline had this red-hot love/ hate relationship going on. Their banter is witty, steamy, intense, emotional and just swoon-worthy. Nathaniel was the sexy new boss of Madeline’s who is like “Peter Pan”. He is all Brit…has the moves and wants Madeline. Madeline finds Nathaniel the biggest pain in her backside. She is secretly addicted to him but resists. She has a secret but doesn’t share. The slow burn of their relationship kept me moving thru the pages until the very end where I was sad that the story was over. It was epic, beautiful, sizzling, intense, steamy, full of feels, romantic, swoon-worthy and just delicious. I dont want to give any spoilers away but what I can say is this is one story that will have you rooting for the main characters from start to finish. Great HEA!!!
My Rating: 4.8 stars *****
Intention is a story of changing for the love of your life to become a better person. It is a story of taking chances and feeling inspired. This is a story of finding love in the most unlikely places.
Nathaniel Harrington III is a typical billionaire and heir to the textile company and total playboy who loves women and luxury. He is all for living in the moment. His past heartbreak has made him sceptical to love. But his carefree life suddenly comes to halt when his grandfather demands him to start acting more responsible as the board and his cousin are threatening his legacy. Nathaniel buys the company Valentina Fisher in a whim to prove his worth where he meets the CEO Madeline. They infuriate each other. But soon they have to enter a fake relationship. Why? How? Will it remain fake?
I loved the chemistry and sizzling interactions between the characters. Nathaniel may sound a self centred and reckless jerk at the beginning. But as the story progress, he becomes more grounded. His character shades the outer layer to reveal a responsible, protective and amazing person. I respect Madeline’s character a lot. She holds her head high and act strong even in faces of grave situations. This story is almost enemies to lovers and I enjoyed reading their interactions full of banter and sass. Dual POV made me feel both sides of the story equally. The plot twists were great. The couple lost their ways and my heart broke for them. I wished for them to get back together with stronger bonding. They had a lot going against them including own insecurities and stubbornness. But they overcame all.
Intention was an emotional and passionate love story. It had just enough angst to make it a captivating read. The characters and drama made this a great read.
Received ARC for honest review.
Ava Harrison has a wonderful way of writing that flows easily and pulls you right in and keeps you wanting more.
I enjoyed Madeline’s character when I met her in the previous books, but this story shows her true inner strength and the heartbreak she has faced for years.
Nathaniel was tough to like in the beginning. He was cocky but broken however, once he allowed you to see his vulnerability you knew you wanted him to find his happiness. It was going to take a special sassy women who challenged him and made sacrifices to help him get his priorities back in order.
Madeline and Nathaniel had amazing chemistry and I loved the give and take in their banter as well as the push and pull in their relationship.
The story as a whole takes us on a roller coaster type ride. I found myself smiling one minute and telling one of them to get it together the next, then one who give in and we would start all over. It kept the story interesting and I would recommend you take a chance on this book!
Nathaniel and Madeline’s story is an emotional roller coaster journey from beginning to end. This is a beautifully written flawless story which is heartbreaking, humorous, and witty. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more from this extremely talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all readers. In my honest opinion, this story is this authors’ best work to date!
Wow, just wow… Another new to me author and I am slapping myself for not jumping on her stories before now! Another author for me to stalk! (But in a professional, respectable way of course!) Ha!!
in-ten-tion is the story of Nathaniel and Madeline.
This story is gonna run your heart through the blender. This story is full of feels, all the feels! From laughter to sorrow and swooniness. The “Peter Pan” element of the story was magical and I loved the nicknames that Nathaniel and Madeline had for each other.
The slow burn of their relationship kept me turning the pages until the very end and I was sad that it was over.
I could really empathize with the struggles that Madeline is going through. A huge bonus for me is being able to really delve into a character like that is a testament to great writing.
Nathaniel is the epitome of the alphahole playboy. He hasn’t needed to face his responsibilities until it’s almost too late.
You can bet that I will be going back and adding all of Ms. Harrison’s books to my TBR list! I loved getting a glimpse at secondary characters that I am sure have their own stories. She teased enough about them to really grab my attention and made me want to know more!
You have a new fan in me Ava Harrison! Well done and I can’t wait to see what comes out next!
This was an emotional rollercoaster for me. It hit home with a lot of stuff.
I don’t read too many books that deal with endometriosis, it’s not a fun subject. Ava Harrison really did it justice. So much so I had to thank her personally for writing it with so much truth and power.
I loved this story. Madeline’s struggles sucked, but she prevailed. She was so strong, I was in awe of her. She was an amazing heroine.
Nathaniel, what’s not to love? So charismatic and charming. Hard not to fall for the guy.
Their love story was amazing to see grow and develop. Which they did. Their character growth and development was amazing to follow.
Well done miss Harrison, you’ve secured yourself a loyal reader here. I hope we see Ollie’s story next
5 Star Review Intention by Ava Harrison
I fell for Nathaniel Harrington hook, line and sinker, although having said that he really was an arrogant, egotistical jerk at the beginning of the book. There were times that I wanted to smack Nathaniel across the back of the head for his behaviour. The pain and suffering that Madeline (Tink) Montgomery went through was palpable, and the anguish, sadness and sense of loss almost had me in tears.
I truly loved how independent and strong Tink was. She had no problem standing up to Nathaniel when he was overbearing and the banter between her and Nathaniel had me in stitches at times, they played off one another brilliantly.
Ava Harrison wove such an interesting story that I couldn’t put this book down. As a friendship between Nathaniel and Tink forms, it slowly morphs into so much more as their intense attraction for one another comes to the surface and cannot be ignored.
Will Nathaniel and Tink realize before it’s too late that taking a chance might well be worth the risk? Or will they both be destined to be alone forever?
Intention is an extremely well written story about coming to terms with what cannot be changed and taking a leap of faith that love, trust and hope can conquer all. It was one of those books that touched me on so many levels ; a wonderful book to read and listen too. Ava Harrison had me riveted from the first to the last page.
Ava Harrison is one of my go-to authors to make me feel something. I seldom have a dry eye after reading her books and Intention was no different.
Ms. Harrison gets better with every book. She invokes strong emotion with broken characters and the love that heals them. Madeline + Nathaniel’s story was an enemies-to-lovers romance that I didn’t want to put down.
Nathaniel is an arrogant playboy who’s met his match with the feisty Madeline Montgomery. The banter between them was brilliant and I loved the way he teased her relentlessly. These two were so entertaining, I didn’t want to put their story down as they teased and loved each other—and eventually broke my heart with the heartbreak of their journey.
The Peter Pan reference that Ms. Harrison carried all the way through this story was spot on and a brilliant tie-in. Nathaniel was definitely the boy who didn’t want to grow up, and Madeline his Tink.
Emotions run high in this book and you will shed some tears. Ms. Harrison is truly coming into her own as a writer and with each book she gets better. This was a great read!
It felt awesome to receive my first ARC from Ava Harrison. I have some of her books in my TBR shelf but I haven’t started on one yet… so I didn’t know what to expect.
This is the story of Nathaniel Harrington III and Madeline Montgomery…
It’s a feel good story… even though the storyline isn’t something I haven’t read before, it will still make the butterflies flutter in your tummy… pair up a spoiled m@nwh0re with an uptight workaholic and you got yourself a delightful romantic comedy… it’s not all rainbows and unicorns though… there are parts that will surely pull on your heartstrings… I also love that it’s family-centered… that it also talked about coming through for people that are important in your life… and that some people are worth all the sacrifice.
It’s a light and quick read… it’s something I’d recommend reading after a long day’s work.
This is a fantastic book. Nathaniel and Madeline start out hating each other, but this isn’t your typical enemies-to-lovers office romance. There is so much more to this story. Let me just say that it was refreshing to have a heroine that was dealing with health issues just as so many women in the real world do. The author did an excellent job of developing Madeline’s character and didn’t shy away from sharing details of her health issues. As someone dealing with a chronic illness myself, it was so nice to have a character dealing with chronic pain as I do. It shows that despite her illness, she could find someone who loves her and they could work through things together. It also showed that she’s a strong woman who felt that she could deal with things on her own, but sometimes being strong is knowing when to be vulnerable.
I’m going to say that this is my favorite Ava Harrison book to date. Highly recommend it!
Ava Harrison gives good troubled, alpha male. She couples him with a strong heroine and book magic shines. This story carries a familiar trope – commitment phobe alpha needs unlikely female to help him redeem himself. Sparks fly throughout until the two’s feeling are finally realized. I loved the heroine in this book had her own very serious troubles that are so relatable to so many women, it shows a human quality and interesting twist to the familiarity of the trope.
The characters here set the scene in a cutthroat atmosphere of fashion. Harrison’s dual, first person POV writing pulls into both of those characters wonderfully so you find yourself invested from the very start. They are both well-constructed and even more well developed as individuals. Both with flaws and vulnerabilities that perfectly compliment the plot of the book. The chemistry never wanes but the coupling and the vulnerabilities wax so much it became a little cumbersome the closer I got to the end. Harrison’s ability to create such charged banter and raw heat between her characters is perfectly romantic. Their propensity to internally self sabotage anything real adds to their likability.
This is a twisty, angsty ride full of romance, fun, and an abundance of charm. Ava Harrison has become an author for whom I’ll always read because of her perfectly romantic yet edgy characters and enemies-to-lovers relationships. This is a great weekend read and perfect for those who love the closed-off walls of characters within their romance.
After only reading 2 books by Ava Harrison I can honestly say she has fast become an author I won’t hesitate one clicking, I loved this book so much. Her stories have all the feels you want and expect from a great read, her characters are loveable and you can tell her tales are written from the heart.
Intention is a modern day twist on Peter Pan, Nathaniel is the man who never grew up and Madeline is the girl who starts off as Tink but ends up as Wendy……
This book has it all it’s full of witty magical banter and it has characters you will love instantly. This beautifully written fairytale with a hint of enemies to lovers is a must read and I recommend all my friends to one click now you won’t be disappointed. Ava Harrison is a very talented author who knows how to write a book that will make you smile and give you goosebumps…..
4.5 stars. British hottie Nathaniel and petite, headstrong Madeline are so enjoyable in this book. What begins as a fake relationship turns these two into constant companions. They both have their own baggage going into this relationship. Nathaniel is more forthcoming than Madeline, but we see her layers slowly stripped away as their need for each other evolves. The heartfelt romance and the witty banter are paired together perfectly, making this one hard to put down.
This is the first time reading a story by this author and it was very good. I felt that the characters couldn’t be more different and that it initially causes some crazy fun banter and drama. Nathaniel is such a womanizer and it felt at times that he wasn’t ready to give that up or to settle down. Madeline was so put together and is so strong as a person that at first I didn’t think they would connect at all other than having some sexual fun together. The story was good and kept my attention and I enjoyed the chemistry between them when they were together. The hardest thing in this story for me was that they changed each other so much so fast and it felt a little unrealistic but I did enjoy it.
Ava Harrison, gives us another beautiful book, with characters and real life situations, that make you believe that love conquers everything.
in·ten·tion is a very emotional story. But its also charming, unpredictable, sexy and enthralling.
I loved the reference to the fairytale of “Peter Pan”, as the characters fit so well in it. Seeing as a playboy is bound to grow up and move forward from his late nights and women to a responsible man with a company and a legacy to keep. But you can’t not love Nathaniel’s ways to bring Madeline to her knees. Their chemistry it’s strong and beautiful and the way they fall in love for each other makes you swoon.
Madeline needed a man like Nathaniel. A fierce and strong man to help her getting through some of her most painful decision of her life and together they prove that true love conquers everything!
